Staff was great! Loved the park and all of the activities for my family. Very helpful and courteous staff. I appreciate the family atmosphere and a very clean campground!

Easy reservation; prompt confirmation emails, helpful email reminders; easy and friendly check-in; upgraded electrical pedestals and everything else worked; wide sites; clean campground. Good location. We were not camping during the family weekend activities though we saw there were activities planned. Wish list - adult activities (wine tasting? live music?) and roads a little smoother graded.

Wolf, Lisa, Daisy and the rest of the team at Santa Margarita KOA are the best. Best Father’s weekend ever. Lot’s of fun memories for the kiddo. Thank you to the team at Santa Margarita KOA.

Love staying here, was above 100* this last camping trip so really warm but the pool was refreshing. Lots of fun activities for the kids, absolutely love this place. Would love to see an update to the pool!

We had the most amazing stay at the Santa Margarita KOA… every part was amazing. We loved all the activities for our children and the staff was so friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Thanks so much! Can’t wait for our next trip :)

Even though we are local to the area, this is our favorite KOA we go to. Great location, wonderful amenities and amazing staff. Wolf and the team have made some good improvements and really made us feel welcome all weekend. We will absolutely be back again!

The KOA hosts made this trip amazing, we cannot say thank you enough. Santa Margarita KOA is the way to go, lots of fun events for the kids. We had the best time and will definitely be visiting again.

Other than some skinny roads everything was wonderful. Very nice camp hosts. Very helpful staff. Already made reservations for next year.

The staff were very friendly, and we enjoyed chatting with the gals in the store. The location was perfect for the wedding of our granddaughter's which was at nearby Oyster Ridge winery. But, we do wish there was pizza or other food delivery available, as we were there for 5 days. As always, bathrooms and everything were always clean and we feel safe at KOA's.

had to remove half tent sun shelter for our dogs fear of piercings water line county calls for no less 12”deep lines while others were allowed to put up screen room and awning in same site also unable to bring in or collect fire wood for fear of bringing in bugs from other counties all bogus reasons insulting our intelligence at every turn! This used to be my favorite KOA no longer!

Staff were friendly and pleasant yet it felt thay had a script to read. Still waiting for the call back after being “gated out side” not having been advised they lock the gates as its not in a good part of town And the dogs. Way too many of then and they all bark, all day!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I'm sorry you had a bad experience. But our campground is not gated nor in a bad part of town. We are on a beautiful mountain side setting several miles from any main road.

Just an amazing KOA. Totally different from other campgrounds due to hilly terrain and amenities. Very clean and well kept while still making raining that woodsy feel. Children a playground is wonderful, and then of course, their is Kevin the Emu! Love this place and will return again and again!

We are shaking the bugs out of our new trailer. Didn't want to be on the beaches but close by. This KOA is located in Foothill/Mountain type setting. Easy access from Highway 101 and very well kept.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only reason we don’t rate it perfect is that we don’t get cell phone service there and the Wi-Fi signal can be weak.

It was our family's first time staying at a KOA campground. It was a fantastic stay for us. Clean bathrooms (a big plus for me!), friendly staff, beautiful campsite and peaceful environment. We can definitely see ourselves staying here again!

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
