The staff at Santa Margarita was amazing and very friendly! Lisa offered to let me use her phone charger when she found out I had forgotten mine, and the next day they let us use a propane tank when ours was malfunctioning! We had a great time in the campground with lots of fun activities and a very nice and clean cabin. We will definitely be back!

Camping during the heat wave was so much better with a refreshing pool and awesome campsite. Staff was friendly and the facilities were clean during the holiday weekend.

Lisa and Wolf were amazing hosts, and the facilities are really well maintained, clean, and charming. Highlights for the kids in our group were the jumping pillow, Kevin the emu, and the hayride. Thanks again for a lovely stay!

Been coming to this KOA for 20 plus years love its friendly staff, clean campsites and how there are plenty of activities for the whole family. Overall an amazing place to camp definitely will be back for another stay soon.

Over all a pleasant stay, enjoyed the pool the most. Very well maintained. The roads are in serious need of repair, major pot holes. Internet not very stable and power went out for extended time, however that wasn’t the fault of the park. Staff is excellent, very friendly and personable.

Except for the August heat, we had a wonderful stay. We love the little town of Santa Margarita and the easy access to the coast. Silly things like WiFi was fantastic! Well be back a different time of year!

Most everything was wonderful! The staff that we met were helpful and nice. The only thing I would say wasn’t that cool was the bathrooms weren’t clean at all and the garbage was overflowing. It won’t stop us from coming back though. Thank you!

Had a really nice weekend at the campground in our little RV. Hookups and everything worked perfectly, bathrooms were clean, staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the Saturday evening luau at the pool.

1 toilette, 1 douche, pas tres propre et tres loin de l emplacement. Le koa n’est pas goudronné du tout, on mange de la poussière à chaque passage de voiture, et 60€ la nuit pour deux tentes vu les aménagements c’est trop cher. Le pire koa jamais vu.

The showers are very old, they really need to be refreshed. If you have kids, the campground is great but otherwise a more simple campground is enough (no playgrounds, no jumping station,..). We have no kids and were in front of the jumping station, many places were empty, we told them we did not like our place (at 8:03am kids are jumping and yelling) but they did not even fake to try to settle us

This is one of the nicest KOA experiences I have ever had. The staff are super friendly and went out of their way to help us out with our reservation when we had a truck breakdown. We will definitely recommend and be back! Thank you!

The staff was awesome very friendly. I would definitely recommend this place everything was so beautiful the nature and sleeping out door was a nice experience it was my first time camping and I loved it the bathrooms were right next to my camp site and there was shade most of the time you do need to watch for skunks but other than that I loved it.

We had our family reunion at the Santa Margarita KOA . We needed a place that was fun for young kids, allowed pets and had space to “ hang out “ . Michele and Lisa helped us figure out the best cabins to rent based on our needs and the location of the cabins. We had to change dates and the number of cabins and we had many visitors coming and going. The staff were fun and helpful.

Internet temperature was different from real temperature. Loved all activities for the kids. They really enjoyed thier camping experience. Although the kids were afraid of the spiders and thier webs hanging from above the shower. All in all it was a great stay.

This is a great campground for getting away from it all. While only 10 miles from 101, you are in the middle of cow pastures. Look for deer and other wildlife. The tent site (#43) that I was at was a long distance (down and up hills) to the bathhouse. They warned me beforehand and were not kidding! :) It would be good if the bathhouse (#2) had an exhaust fan to remove the high humidity.

We enjoyed our stay at Santa Margarita. Off the grid and super quite. Star-gazing at it's best. Good pads, plenty of space and easy to get to. Lots of activities for kids and adults. Kevin the Emu did not disappoint. This KOA can accommodate a variety of guests and rigs.

It was my first time staying at a KOA and it did not disappoint. The staff was so helpful and friendly from the moment we got there. We already booked another stay for Labor Day weekend.

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
