it was great. I took away one star because our vehicles had to be parked behind two bolder rocks and weren't right by our window and steps like previous years which made our walk carrying heavy items a bit difficult and the fact that there was a large increase of $25 per night which we may choose to shorten all of our stays there's a large group of us Taylor's that go twice a year.

It was very nice and clean, and most of all it was quite. It was very close to the lake and I didn’t have to get up at 3:00am to drive an hour and a half to get there. And yes I do believe that I will be staying here again. Thank you for the block to put under my boat trailer so it would not move. And also thank you for getting back to me quickly after I have call.

Loved our stay. Wish we were closer to the lake. KOA staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend! Liked it so much, that before leaving the KOA we booked 3 more reservations.

One of our new favorite places to camp! the sides are easy to back in to, the camp is clean, and Kevin the Emu is the coolest!

We stayed in rv full hookup and the spots were clean and very well taken care of. Nice to have nice even ground to walk on and well as setting up trailer. Enjoyed the children's play area, also kept clean. We enjoyed everything about our stay and look forward to coming back!

The pool here is little and there is no hot tub, so we were disappointed about that. The area is pretty hilly and the spots are relatively close together. The bathroom was fine, but up a long set of stairs. The best thing was the jumping pillow - our grandson loved it.

Really nice and quiet campground with lot of privacy. We stayed here for two lovely nights. There are some nice hiking trails near Lake Santa Margarita.

Everything was absolutely perfect! Great place and people! Awesome for traveling with dogs. The only tiny feedback I have is the shower needed a plastic liner curtain to keep water from getting all over the floor.

This campground has beautiful campsites, most are very private and away from neighbour's which is very nice. The bathrooms were not cleaned during our stay and were in desperate need of a deep cleaning.

Beautiful, spacious, well maintained camping area. We stayed KOA Santa Margerita with full hookups and all worked perfectly. This KOA's proximity to Lake Santa Margerita (fishing, kayaking, and hiking all within a 1-2 mile drive) make it an absolutely worthy vacation basecamp. The wifi provided sufficient bandwidth for streaming even during peak wkend hours. WONDERFUL, friendly staff!!!

Awesome as always… but would suggest that long term guest not be up with campers as they some times don’t have to same vacation attitude.

nicely hidden campground; quiet, well positioned sites in a beautiful natural terrain. Utilites were good; didn't use the facilities b/c couldnt walk too far up hill. love to return; town is friendly and the grocey market had great selection of fresh food etc.!! Shareen makes the greatest salamin, eggplant, roasted pepper, cheese sandwich!!

Loved the yurt camping - all of the fun of camping and the amenities of home (a real bed and electricity)! Tracy is great, very pleasant and helpful. People were respectful of the quiet hours, and I actually loved hearing the children when they were playing - such a happy sound! Bathrooms were clean, and who would have thought hot water at the dish washing station! Nice!

very low water pressure (15psi). Had to fill my water storage tank and then use my water pump for simple tasks like flushing tiolet or showering.

We stayed 9/22-9/25/22 in one of the 1 room cabins with a shower & toilet. Our only 2 complaints was there was zero reception in the cabin and the Wi-Fi didn't work inside either. Only if we sat outside. The other one was the flies...they make sitting outside during the day unbearable. Otherwise we love the location & enjoy staying there. The staff is always above & beyond helpful and nice!

Nice campground! Super clean and well maintained! We felt very safe there. Kids love the huge bounce pillow. I was wondering if there are sites that allow a very small tent and an rv? The husband is a snorer. Will call about this.

Loves our stay over the weekend. Facilities were clean and the camp site where we set up was clean too. My three year old enjoyed the jumping pillow and meeting Kevin. The pool was nice, but to cold.

Very clean and the staff is very friendly. It is all up hill so that was not fun. All dirt and the horse shoes is literally right next to a cabin, awkward. Basketball court? No more like a basketball hoop right next to other rv camp sits. Dog park was small but it worked. Only thing is a lot of walking up hill. Worth walking up hills was walking past the dog park at night to look at the stars.

We had a very nice spot on the campground. The best part of the campground is the people running it. They are very nice and helpful! Possible improvements are the number of bathrooms and showers. There was only one near our site. Also, there is a lack of watertaps nearby. The price for a spot is very high and then we would expect more facilities.

A bare bones campsite but has all the amenities such as showers and toilets. Has lots of wildlife roaming around which is nice.

As are most KOA campgrounds we stay overnight….many (as is this one) seem to be aged and in need of fresh paint, good deep cleaning and more upgrades.

They aren't exaggerating about the terrain. Bathrooms are difficult to access. We stayed in a yurt and loved the experience. Suggest staying further from the jumping pillow and cleaning station if you want to sleep in.

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
