We stayed Friday night to Sunday morning, the whole camp ground was clean and staff was very friendly. We loved the jumping pillow and swings!!

Had a beautiful stay, due to smoke from the Central Ca Fires there was no campfires allowed ( not any fault of the KOA ) otherwise perfect time. We stayed on a cabin, met all expectations, very roomy and clean, Most items needed are included for indoor kitchen use. We are planning our next visit in a few months

Very peaceful as there was not a lot of campers staying while we were there. Loved the fact that we had a large space, but the sewer smell was quite horrible at times. It was difficult to enjoy a nice meal outside while your getting whiffs of sewer as you’re eating. Also, when we arrived the site was covered with leaves and there was more than one pile of dog poop left from previous campers.

Site was narrow and hilly. Lots of construction going on which caused a lot of dust.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, and setting is beautiful. Even though it was the end of swimming season, the pool was clean and well kept. One of the nicest koa campgrounds we have vusited

We stayed in a deluxe cabin with our two children. It’s a beautiful setting. The cabins are are great glamping option for families. Fun outdoor activities in the camp ground. Our kids loved the jump pillow, Kevin the Emu, and the gnome village. We always see wildlife There are all Sorts of different options for different kinds of campers. Thank he camp store is also pretty well stocked.

It was a great first stay for our little family. We stayed in the fishbowl which was perfect for my 2 year old to ride his bike around. We just wish the pool was heated but everything else was wonderful!

Lots to do! Kids loved the jumping pillow, swimming and feeding Kevin the emu. Grownups loved cornhole amd the closeness of the campsite to the play areas and restrooms! Will be back!

Awesome, plenty to do even if it is just relax and read. Even jumped on the air bag, and managed to talk another camper into doing it as well. Had a blast! Crew was amazing, funny and ever so helpful.

My only complaint is that our campsite was narrow, with a steep drop-off on one side composed of loose dirt that seemed to be crumbling away. In particular, the picnic table was right on the edge, so that sitting on one of the two sides was scary. On the plus, we enjoyed the bouncy pillow and Kevin the emu. I stopped by the front desk a few times to chat with "Kim Anne", who was very helpful!

What a different unique KOA! Out in the middle of nowhere, who knew? Kim Anne & staff are amazing. Nice big pool, although I never used. Loved *Kevin* the Emu! Met fabulous neighbors, made a new friend who I know I’ll be in touch with. Only downside/reason for not 5 stars is the price per night. $75/nt. Too expensive. Grateful to be KOA Rewards member, saved us a little bit.

I rented a cabin vs staying in a tent for the first time, and it was not a bad way to stay. i Like the cabin as an option, but i think I will stay with the tent for the value aspect of the stay. I was on a motorcycle trip. JR

Karen kindly answered our after hours phone call to take our last minute reservation & gave us a great spot. The restroom facilities were well maintained & lit. I highly recommend this KOA & we are grateful for the great customer service!

Our spot was littered with garbage from whoever was at the site before us. We checked in at 3:30 and the kampsight check in time was 1:00 so there was plenty of time for someone to clean up their trash left behind.

We had a lovely, dusty stay at Santa Margarita KOA! The kids enjoyed the jumping pillow, pool and camping fun! The location of hills, valleys and trails makes this KOA unusual and unique! The stargazers trail was amazing on the clear night! One change is to add a gravel pit for water over flow from the spigot goes otherwise we had mud running through camp and made for an extra messy space. Thank!

My tent site was so spacious and flat that we really enjoyed tent camping. It was very private and secluded lot and very quiet. Camp fire was good and staffs were very kind and professional. We will come back.

Good trip. We wanted quite, kicked back weekend. Stayed in site 62, liked it. We thought store was open until 8pm. Called to see if they had item and found out they close at 5 after Labor Day. They had the needed item and Kim Ann delivered to our camp site. It was way above and beyond normal customer care. I was not feeling well, so the item was greatly appreciated. THANK YOU KIM ANN! Cabin 84 was in an awesome location! The staff was cordial & friendly & always available. All roads are unpaved dirt & steep or winding if that is an issue for you, but they seemed well maintained. Unbelievably beautiful starry nights!

Lots of fun. Loved the kids activities. Only improvements would be possibly updating bathroom tiling. Loose gravel on paths leading to the higher campsites led to some falls.

All dirt campgrounds and the spaces are very small, to hilly - no where to ride bikes or enjoy a nice stroll.

This place has GOT to be, hands down, the BEST and most scenic KOA around. There are many I haven’t been to yet, but this one, at the very least, remains almost at the very top. I absolutely love all of the secluded tent camping options. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. I loved the experience of remote camping, but in a safe park with great security. The staff are awesome, too! A+++

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
