Had a fantastic stay! Such a great place. This was my first experience with KOA and I truly enjoyed it! The facilities were immaculate and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this KOA site!

Just an amazing KOA. Totally different from other campgrounds due to hilly terrain and amenities. Very clean and well kept while still making raining that woodsy feel. Children a playground is wonderful, and then of course, their is Kevin the Emu! Love this place and will return again and again!

we had a great and relaxing stay at Santa Margarita KOA. The staff was amazing and exceptionally helpful and very friendly. Can't wait for our next visit.

Staff was amazing - helpful, friendly, accommodating. Cabins were extremely clean and decorated nicely. I hope to plan another family trip there soon.

We are shaking the bugs out of our new trailer. Didn't want to be on the beaches but close by. This KOA is located in Foothill/Mountain type setting. Easy access from Highway 101 and very well kept.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only reason we don’t rate it perfect is that we don’t get cell phone service there and the Wi-Fi signal can be weak.

It was our family's first time staying at a KOA campground. It was a fantastic stay for us. Clean bathrooms (a big plus for me!), friendly staff, beautiful campsite and peaceful environment. We can definitely see ourselves staying here again!

The staff are so friendly and helpful. The property is clean, comfortable and quiet. My family saw some wildlife, deer, and wild turkey just outside of the cabin we stayed in. We had a lot fun and will go back soon.

We had a lovely time, the cabin was clean the amenities were plentiful. We would have loved to have had the egg hunt or movie night on Friday as we traveled back home Saturday to spend Easter at home. We will return

The manager Wolf, made this the worst experience. Liked the facility and proximity to the lake, the rest of the staff was very helpful. I would not return if this same individual is there. Everything seems to be an inconvenience to him and very argumentative.

We have been staying at the Santa Margarita KOA for years. I’m not sure what changed. The manager named Wolf Was very aggressive, unprofessional and rude. Also we have no power for our stay stay and the main store was running on a generator that kept shutting down. A manager Should be the person D escalate in a situation, not the person creating the situation and escalating it.

It’s always a wonderful experience! My friends and I stay here every time we have a vacation and it’s always clean, quiet, and just perfect. The entire staff is wonderful and so sweet, not to mention very accommodating when it comes to getting firewood after store hours haha. We’ve come back three or four times not only because it’s a safe area, but because everyone is so friendly!

I have stayed here many times over the years. I think my first visit was over 30 years ago. The campground has never looked better. Everything appears well maintained and I could see many upgrades since the last time I was there. The maintenance staff deserves a big shout out and of course the office staff were very friendly and welcoming as usual.

Seemed well run, laundry was clean and machines in good shape. Spacious sites. WiFi was good at the top level sites. Cell signal minimal.

This is an excellent place if you need a fully equipped cabin down to a tent campsite. Being built into a hillside allows more privacy between sites than you would expect from a typical KOA experience. The hosts are very helpful and very accommodating. Can't say enough about what makes this a step above the typical KOA location as it has been for decades.
