Called and asked how far they were from Monterey Bay, was told 13 miles , booked the stay to find out they were 44 minutes away ! The road in takes you over very rough rr tracks , through a school parking lot , over a giant collection of bumps potholes and for some stupid reason speed bumps , pool area was ok

We had a great time during our stay. All of the Halloween activities for the kids were amazing. The only issue I saw was there were 3 campers that drove through during the hight of trick or treating when I thought traffic was supposed to be shut down.

Early fall on the coast offers perfect weather and our stay at the Santa Cruz/Monterey Bay KOA did not disappoint. The park is clean and well maintained. The fall and Halloween festivities were epic and the friendly staff made our stay especially enjoyable. Big shout out to Cody and Courtney for providing great service. I'd mention more but didn't get their names. We're booked for next year!

The staff is wonderful, very hard working and friendly. The facilities unfortunately are not adequately maintained. The showers are very dirty and need to be deep cleaned and then cleaned throughout the day on busy weekends. The doggy parks are full of gophers and cannot be used. They should not be included on the list of amenities. The park itself is nicely designed and the big trees are great.

We were so impressed with this campground. Upgraded WiFi allowed us to watch all our football games for our guys weekend. Clean, organized, and even daily trash pick up. All the activities and events are a huge bonus and make the experience even more fun and enjoyable. Out of all the Campgrounds we have stayed at, this one is our favorite. Just made plans to go back again!

This was our first trip here and we had an AMAZING time.. We were in a group of 6 and everyone including the kids and our pups had a great time! Cody and Courtney were were also amazing hosts, very friendly! Everyone at the front desk/store were very nice as well. We will be back!

Site next to us # 58 seemed like there were no adults there until Saturday evening multiple kids under 12 going in and out of sight

Our recent stay at KOA Santa Cruz was a lot of fun. It was a weekend that KOA encouraged everyone to decorate their site and had trick or treating for the kids. It was great to see most everyone come out from their tent/camper and mingle together. Yes, it was mainly for the kids, but it was a fun way to get people to walk around and smile.

We absolutely Love this Monterey KOA. It’s our favorite place of all the campgrounds. Friendly staff, well maintained grounds and nice people who are out camping like us. Would Love to live and work on this property as I’m a retired contractor with 40 plus years experience. This trip was a memorable experience for my wife and I as we invited my wife’s sister and they stayed in a cabin enjoya

Wonderful place. A bit pricey but the playground, the trampoline area were perfect for our 5 yr old. So was the pool. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff was friendly and you could always see one of them around doing their job. The ocean is about 15-20 minutes to walk. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location. No water for a day. The dustiest KOA we’ve stayed in during our 5 week long trip. Very odd bathrooms with no trash cans or paper towels.

It used to be our second home but California is getting to be so unsafe and so expensive. My Mother still lives in Capitola otherwise we wouldn't have come.

All team members I interacted with were professional and friendly. ���������� Sites 223 & 224 technically don't qualify as "pull thru" in terms of a Class A 45ft Prevost Marathon Coach.�� I had to backout from both sites once to change site (tree blocking satellite) and when leaving after my stay was up. Overall, place was quiet and I liked being within walking distance from the beach

Cramped spaces, noisy, and way to expensive for what you get. Had to wait in line for showers since your other huge facility with tons of showers wasn’t working due to no hot water. I paid $140 a night for a tent site and couldn’t even take a hot shower? Just seemed like a place where people come to let their kids run wild and play loud music from their trailers. Overall, love the park, but don’t really care for the blasting outdoor music and tv’s or very noisy groups that seem to go unchecked. Should not allow guests to do what they want with amplified audio outdoors. Facilities and park are otherwise very good.

This was our first time renting an RV and staying at a KOA. The campground was really nice, very clean and the staff was very friendly. You have so many cool activities, especially for the kids. Also very pet friendly so that was a plus. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Our stay was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the amenities and perks that were offered to us. I have only one (1) recommendation... The oleander bushes on the property are toxic and could be fatal if ingested. The oleanders should be replaced by bushes that are not poisonous. There are so many kids and pets exposed to these bushes and it is a disaster waiting to happen. Otherwise, it was GREAT!!!!

I stayed at this campground on 4/6/24, that was my second time there, we loved the cabin. The site has great accommodations, very family oriented, however, there's also Glamping cabins like the one we stayed that are very cozy and makes for a great couples getaway, super close to the beach 3-5min drive. Awesome place 10 out 10.

We just arrived home after a fantastic weekend here. We stayed in our camper, so cannot attest to the cabins, but it was so lovely to have full hookups (including a dog pen for our fluffy family member). The whole site was amazing and there was always something for the kids to do and our kids were so happy. The playground and jumping bag was such a huge hit, as was the heated pool. Just be warned - there is a “make your own pixie stick” machine in the store. Thankfully my kids didn't realize what it was haha All of the staff that we came across were so lovely and kind. Can't wait to come back!
