Great place if you have kids or a big family gathering! Lots of fun amenities, clean and fairly new. Unfortunately, our campsite was in a back row since we are a long truck/trailer, and it was very noisy due to so many trucks and staff going by non-stop during the day. Would probably stay elsewhere next time due to the noise and commotion.

Facilities were clean, neat and very well maintained. Location was great and very convenient. The WiFi was terrible, weak signal and continually dropping out. An investment in better WiFi service and coverage is much needed.

The park was nice and very family friendly. Plenty of activities for the kids to do. The pricing was pretty reasonable. The only complaint I have is that our spot was extremely dirty with bird poop. It was all over the ground and picnic table. It would have been nice if someone had washed it down before we checked in. Other than that, everything was great. We will return.

Absolutely love our stays at San Diego Metro KOA. Only wish quiet hours would start at 11 instead of 10. No one goes quiet that early anyway.

So much fun and excitement for the October stay. There was one issue with another visitor that when called upon. The KOA staff were on it within literally 60 seconds and handle with care for all visitors. I love this place!

The first 2 days were great. By day 3, the park began to fill with families and young children for the fall festival (which we knew nothing about at booking) There were kids everywhere on powered bikes, skateboards and other equipment. They would go through your campsite on these bikes and it was hard to enjoy our time and hard on the dog.. A warning should have been issued at booking.

When we arrived, we were given a spot that our RV would not fit. They were quick to give us a new spot without any problems. The park is kept clean as well as all other buildings (bathroom, laundry, store, etc.) We went in October so it wasn't too busy, except for the weekends. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience here and would stay again during "off season."

Pros: lots to do Saturday for the fall festival. The kids love the face paint, pumpkin carving and the carnival games! The staff running those games are friendly and are great with the kids. Cons: limited activities on Sunday, cafe has very limited hours on Sunday. Would have liked to enjoy snacks and lunch by the pool.

I have to say that you guys are awesome. From the organized activities for the kids for Halloween. Bobbi is awesome and so accommodating. She’s always making sure everyone is pleased. Thank you for a great time a second year in a row !!

We just camped Oct. 12-14 and participated in the Halloween festivities, it was our 9th year. We had a great time! My only complaint would be that the cafe hours are too short & they close too early. Several times we tried to go eat and it was closed. It should have longer hours especially on busy weekends.

We always have a great time at the KOA no matter what time of year we attend. One suggestion I wanted to make was if you guys can change the Logo of the tie-dye shirts and sweatshirts. We visit often and no longer tie-dye because we already have quite a few of the same shirts. Awhile back, you guys had Halloween themed shirts and those were cool.

Always love KOA San Diego. They put on an outstanding fall festival. Can't wait til next year. I usually visit this KOA 4-5 times a year. My favorite one. Staff such as Madison, Tony, Lailua and Bobby always put together such great activites for the kids and make sure everyone is included and having a good time. They do a fabulous job.

By far the most fun KOA we have stayed at. The staff from Bobbi, Cambria, Madison were super nice. We really enjoyed all the activities they had for the families to have fun. We will definitely be back.

We are a full time RV Family and stayed for several months. Unfortunately we had to pay the daily rate instead of monthly because we have a child. KOA is the only campground in the area that does not let families with children get the monthly rate, which seems discriminatory in a campground oriented towards families. Grounds maintenance did not keep out grass cut, allowing it to get to 10" in spot

We love staying at this KOA. It is very convenient to get to all of the major San Diego attractions including Sea World, SD Zoo, the beach, and even an easy drive up to Legoland. This KOA has tons of kid friendly activities that my kids love. The train ride is a favorite. And the jump pillow. We love swimming too. We ate at the cafe for the first time this trip and was amazed at how good it was.

Had a great stay at San Diego Metro KOA! I have stayed there previously and enjoyed returning again. I interacted with a campground employee named Al. He provided a great “WOW” customer service experience and is an outstanding asset to San Diego Metro KOA. Looking forward to my next return visit.

As always, KOA is one of the best RV resort that we have ever stayed in. The property is fully maintained and well-staffed.

The campground was very clean. All the staff was very friendly. We got breakfast the last morning at their cafe & the food was delicious! We will definitely be returning.

Love this location! Beautiful & well kept. The only 2 complaints I have is having to get up super early to stand in line to book our spot next year and that some cars don’t park/fit in their campsite so hang over & obstruct the street so it makes it difficult to maneuver thru the campground in a vehicle, let alone a trailer.

The stay was great as always. Always have plenty for the kids to do. The DJ during pumpkin carving was well needed being him back. The magician was also a great time kids loved it. What they do need is more face painting people. We waited in line for an hour and a half. Takes away from the other activities they have there.

We stayed 9/29-10/1 and the woman in charge of activities (tall w/ short blonde hair) made our stay great. The train was closing for the night and we had 10 kids with our group that REALLY wanted to ride the train. Staff could have easily told us no but this woman kept the train going just so our kids could have a turn. We already booked again for next year because of the staff and fun activities

Internet is terrible. Park is pretty clean except bird droppings all over site 1202, though much can't be done about birds. Surprised by some trash floating around the park. Employees drive too fast in their golf carts.

It was ok. Expensive for everything. You should have a family section and a seniors section. Plus not put seniors next to the cabins filled with kids. Our car got hit buy footballs and rocks from the flowerbeds because the parents just let the kids loose. Then loud music from several camping sites trying to drown out the others. Bird poop all over RV so have to pay to get it cleaned. Tight sites!

I didn't like to be welcomed at a front desk by a womed with an outfit like a funky girl that could or wouldn't like to inform me how to get with public transport to SD downtown. Why is it called KOA METRO?

I've seen this place for years and watched it grow into a great place for campers, RV'ers, and travelers of all kind. They have plenty of activity for guests. Full size cabins, or tent size cabins. Places you can hook up your trailer and RV, and storage facility too. The staff is great and the fun you have is second to none. So glad my family and I can enjoy this place.

We went to San Diego Metro KOA for the first time in October 2023. We had an amazing time with Bobbi leading the Halloween activities. The bathrooms in the common areas were always clean. We saw Alicia cleaning repeatedly and she always had a smile on her face. Thank you!!!
