We spent two nights here - just in time for the annular eclipse. The place is quite crowded, our neighbors slide out almost tipped into our space. But staff was very helpful, the place is clean and everything worked. It's close enough to the places that we wanted to go in San Antonio. We would stay again.

This was a return trip for us to this KOA and we ended up returning in just a couple of days after leaving due to a family emergency. The staff at the KOA were very helpful and understanding, assisting us with what we needed in a very caring way. The San Antonia/Alamo KOA is a great location as there is a walking path that is adjacent to the campground. The campground is well maintained.

Stay was very good. Clean, friendly. quiet, easy access to campgrounds off the freeway. Navigating the park with a bigger unit was easy. Communication before and while at the campground was excellent.

Very nice park in a good location to visit down town by bus. Bathroom was inadequate for the weekend crowds. Shower water pressure would drop drastically when anyone flushed a toilet. Our site was not level. Few koa parks understand that van RVs require a level site and don't have leveling jacks. They also prefer to be near restrooms. Grounds staff were not at all friendly.

Staff was all incredibly helpful & nice. The grounds were relatively well kept, but we were assigned site M7, which by my assessment was probably the worst site among those similar to it. There’s less space due to it being an end site, and there was a huge pole in the middle of the little space we had. Then there was the bright street light right overhead. This shouldn’t even be a campsite IMO

The campground was very clean and the staff were very organized and helpful. Pancake breakfasts were great but I was disappointed in only ine thing. Every KOA I have stopped at a ross the U.S. offers an "ice cream" social. This KOA does not. It was 82 degrees in San Antonio this week and an ice cream social would have been great.

Fantastic facility. The grounds could be kept up a bit better. Lots of unmowed grass areas and areas that used to have nice grass (that dogs used to love) which are now bare dirt and weeds.

The park was very clean and quiet. My only suggestion for improvement would be to spread the campers out when the park is not full. The area we were in was very crowded even though there were many empty sites throughout the park.

Your KOA is AWESOME !!! I’ve never stayed at a KOA that is as nice as Alamo KOA. I highly recommend it. It is expertly managed and all the KOA staff are efficient, helpful and friendly. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. Marianne Latham Richwine Ed McDonald.

Loved the peacefulness of it. Loved the KOA site. Loved the fishing pond also. Coming back next month! We are RV newbies and absolutely loved our first experience at a KOA.

Very nice camping resort, very pleasant and helpful staff, enjoyed the patio cafe and pizza and an added bonus next to a walking trails. I can see why they have won awards in the past!

We were there for a couple of days it rained pretty much the whole time.. the Kano is well cared for staff were friendly nice place … breakfast at the patio was nice … wish they would get rid of all the styrofoam containers

Nice older KOA. Quiet, convenient to the area we were interested in seeing, but not in the best part of town. We always recommend the KOA’s, and this one fit well with what we needed for the days in the area.

Located convenient to downtown, pubs, etc. The KOA is very clean, large, and has access to a 25 mile long trail. Some sites are a bit narrow in width.

The park is well located near the city and has many nice trees over most of the sites. The walking path adjacent to the park was a big perk for our fur baby.

We stay at Alamo KOA when ever we pass through San Antonio. It is a very nice KOA and has never disappointed us.

We started going there in our twenties,we are now in our sixties. Have always enjoyed it. Went there with our daughters when they were little and now we take our grandkids. We loved the place, clean , still peaceful surroundings and people are always friendly. Enjoyed the Patio breakfast.KEEP IT UP. Thank y'all

We were put in an area where there were no other motorhomes and no shade. Didn't understand why as the park was only half full.

Really nice KOA right next to a walking/biking trail. City bus to The Alamo/Riverwalk pick you up right outside their gates. They do have a security and security code if you're getting home after hours. Very clean facilities and a very convenient cafe. They serve pizza and hot wings after 4 pm and breakfast from Thursday to Sunday, I believe

Can totally tell why this location won KOA Campground of the year. Truly top notch - super friendly staff, immaculately kept grounds, clean restrooms, great amenities.
