If you want to enjoy more time outdoors, you can also venture out into the local area. Here are the top recreational activities to enjoy.

1. Swimming and Paddling

The recently remodeled pool at our campground is perfect for lounging in the sun or floating in the water. The pool is great for kids, with a beach-style entry. Open year round, it is open until 9:30 p.m. daily giving you plenty of time to jump in, even after a full day of activities in the surrounding city. The San Antonio River Walk is a fun place to explore on foot, but did you know you can paddle in the river too? If you are looking for some water recreation, you can rent kayaks or bring your own for a bit of exercise and a new perspective on the River Walk.

2. Walking and Biking

If you like to get moving by walking or biking, this KOA is the perfect place to stay. The campground connects to one of San Antonio's five Greenway Trail Systems, so you can take a leisurely morning stroll or rent bikes from the campground to explore this trail and nearby Salado Creek. The paved trails offer a smooth surface for strollers, roller skates and scooters. If you would like to explore beyond the campground, you can check out San Antonio's other Greenway Trail Systems, offering beautiful nature views and paths that follow local creeks.

3. Pet-Friendly Activities

For those traveling with their pets and looking for pet-friendly camping in San Antonio, this KOA is an incredible spot. Beyond offering camping and lodging that allow pets, we have recreation just for Fido. You can bring your furry friend to the KampK9® dog park to run off some steam or take a walk on the nature trails nearby. The city of San Antonio also has many gorgeous outdoor parks you may visit with your pup outside of the campground.
