RV Reviews

This is a great place to gather our group then head into downtown via the light rail just outside the campground. We chose the companion sites and opted to pay the $20 to choose our own sites which was worth it to us. Matthew was VERY cheerful and helpful filling propane even offering to take our tanks back to our RV. Matthew is a great ambassador for your KOA!

GREAT LOCATION! We were there 3 nights, enjoyed the area and the park. A wonderful dog wash and dog park. Easy to drive a motorhome and tow.

First urban KOA we have stayed. Clean, sites close. Area outside of grounds not so great.

All good. A little hard to get to.

This is our second time to stay here. Both times have been absolutely awesome. The property is nice clean and very well kept. The office staff goes above and beyond on helping out. I would definitely stay again. Plus they have a pretty nifty pancake machine. It is nice to be able to have coffee and pancakes.

Site was tight for our size coach, but utilities were good. It was quite as you were away from the highway.

Perfect Check-in. Place is in good shape. I'd come Back again next time.

Convenient to downtown and Trax. Clean, nice laundry room. Dog park was useful.

We were only there for an overnight stay. The campground is quite large with a large number of people either living there or staying for a long time. It's clean. If you are placed near the very nice dog park it can be very noisy from vehicles passing by and the close by dumpsters. For those staying longer there are sports courts which are nicely kept up. Lots of homeless on the area so be careful.

Worked out great for what we needed. Would have been better if all the playing pieces for the games were available to actually play the games. Some essential playing pieces were missing and we were told if they aren't there with the game, they are lost. No rain would have helped also, but we can't control the weather. Otherwise it was great. Thanks.

The KOA is fine but the location is in a location where we did not feel comfortable. There were homeless people everywhere. The office told us to lock everything up at night. The traffic was loud. There must have been a train close because it blew its horn all night. Nice park and staff-just a bad location.

Nice place, very clean. Location was very good for freeway access and access to Trax. I was disappointed in the $15 charge to check-out late, especially when I was told that there was no one coming for the specific spot we were in, but I guess I understand that the facility is all about making money. Thanks

Great location...great campground

The park was nicely shaded, the staff was very helpful. The restrooms and laundry were very clean. The park was just across from the light rail line station which made it very convenient to get into downtown. It was a very good spot to stay.

I had just purchased a new travel trailer from Bish's RV earlier that day and wanted to stay close by. I chose KOA over Sun Outdoors as I am more familiar with KOA. My wife and kids agreed this was the best KOA we have been to. Any complaints I had read online I attribute to bad camper etiquette and staff dealing with that. Customer service is hard. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly.

This campground is more than a ten!!! Plenty of room, all paved, all shaded, many operating amenities, plenty of friendly staff and a very clean bathrooms. You would never know you’re in the middle of the city!!

Good located KoA, just minutes by tramway from downtown. We will come again to this good maintained location

Two week stay, park was clean and safe, however, it’s still wise to keep anything important locked up.

Friendly staff, easy check in and out, clean. The pool/hot tub being closed was a bummer. Overall it was a great one night stay.

Well maintained park with friendly people, sites are level with lots of shade. It’s near light rail if you don’t want to drive. We stayed here twice this summer. We would recommend your park to anyone who plan to visit Salt Lake City

Very clean park. Entire driveway areas are paved.

Pro - site great at #25. Trans just across the street to go to Temple Square. Dog Park has dog wash. Con - Train noise all night. Pool closed to resurface when temps were 88/90F.

It was nothing like the website said. No grass, extremely tight spaces. Was there for 12 hours total and heard 3 trains blare their horns. The store was dirty and the staff was unwelcoming and carried on a conversation with each other for 5 minutes before acknowledging me. I will never stay there again.

Great location, we drove a Jeep into town but we were backpacking so having the light rail so close got us into town and to the airport.

Friendly staff and free pancake breakfast! Nice park. This is our 2nd visit and would camp there again.

Short visit but very friendly staff and very clean campground

We were sad to see no access anymore to that dog walking path. Used to be you got a code to enter. We usually only spend one night as we head back home to CA. At some point we plan to stay longer. The place you put us in was the best so far. #1114. I wish we could always reserve this row. We did notice some rigs with flags even tho your rule says no flags.

Campsites were paved but too close together. Traffic was going too fast in campground. Pool was closed before Oct. 1st as stated in welcome message. Only when I complained did I found out there was a second pool a long distance away .,

• Staff are excellent. • Site was level. • Good cable TV. • Showers are clean and decent water pressure, no shortage of hot water. • WIFI is great, but I prefer to use my Rogers Hot Spot then I can watch my home cable TV. • They have propane on site. • 2 carwashes on the property, 1 is 11' clearance, the other 13' clearance and long enough for most RV's. • BBQ and Pizza restaurants on the property. • Great laundry room, plus another laundromat on the property. • Only 1 negative and that is the outlying neighborhood, but the KOA and VIP parks have 24 hour security. • I would stay here again.

Best campground ever. We have stayed here 3 times. What I love most is that you can fly in to SLC and take the light rail 2 stops from the airport. The KOA is literally across the street. We meet my mother here who has an RV. We go skiing at Alta without having to rent a car or drive a RV on a mountain road. You can take the light rail to a park and ride and then take a bus up to the resort. Incredibly convenient and safe. The campground staff obviously takes great pride in their place. Bathrooms are clean and modern, there are many activities for kids (basketball, and other outdoor games, game room, swimming pool, calm roads for riding bikes). Gas fire pits for gathering around in the evening. Free coffee and pancakes. Quiet campsites. I hope the family never gives up its property here in the city. Wish more cities had something like this for travelers.
