The campground is nice and the many improvements happening are great. We liked the concrete pads for the picnic tables, the dog park and how peaceful it is there. The bathrooms are very small. My husband is 6'3" and of a larger stature and he was unable to use the facilities which is a big reason we like to stay at KOAs.

Not much water pressure. Sites do need some leveling of your rig.

Great location and well taken care of. Good separation of sites. Sunshades and patio furniture was more than we expected. We will definitely return.

Very nice and helpful staff. Facilities were clean and stocked. The tent sites are separated from the RV site by a creek and some trees, so you have a nice sense of being secluded. Will be back!

This park needs some TLC. It doesn’t seen to be loved like most KOA’s. The woman checking us in was not friendly nor helpful.

In our prior experiences, KOAs have been well cared for oases after a long day of travel. They have had green space with lots of trees and flowers, pools, miniature golf, horse shoe pits, a store and office open for long hours. Salida has none of this! It was VERY disappointing! In fact, we are surprised KOA allows its name to be on the Salida property! It is badly in need of an overhaul!

We arrived 20min after 4pm, and the office had closed. They left late check-in instructions. Shortly after, a staff member appeared twice at our site with curt warnings, making us feel watched. Next day, he was nowhere to be found. It lacked amenities and had terrible internet. Our site full of trash, stickers (which got stuck everywhere) and lacked shade (were reprimanded for using our canopy).

Easy check-in. Bath house was very clean. It's early in the season, so there weren't too many people in the campground.

The sites were fine for what we needed, which was just an overnight stay. The restroom/shower facility was quite old and when comparing this to other KOA's, it it was lacking in amenities. The playground equipment was very old and the laundry and common area facility was definitely in need of an upgrade. The office hours were also very limited!

Camped her for Memorial Weekend. Our kids stayed in a deluxe cabin which was great for them and their baby. Our campsite was great and level. The wind blew most of the weekend so Wi-Fi was in and out, but there was Wi-Fi available. We finally got to have a fire Sunday night since the win quit. Loved the store & i had lots to offer. It’s a newer KOA and they have made a lot of great improvements

I was initially concerned with the location due to the proximity to hwy 50, but it was barely noticeable! Property was clean throughout, and site was level. Overall the location was quiet. staff was very friendly, and camp host (Gino) was super friendly during our stay. We will definitely return!

Gino, one of the welcoming staff saved us from a very difficult problem. The door on our motor coach locked us out with our keys inside. Gino was talking with my wife and he remembered talking to me through the window and saw it was unlocked so he got a chair and had her steady it and climbed through the window to let us in. Gino saved us time and money if we used a locksmith.

Terrible. Lots and lots of snow and the manager wouldn’t let them clean the sites off. We about got stuck and had to move to another site that was a higher cost. Another lady had to pay someone to pull her out from being stuck at her expense which is unexceptionable. Won’t ever stay here again.

It’s situated in a beautiful area, a valley between tall mountains on both sides, spectacular scenery around it. The facilities were very clean and smelled good. The laundry was immaculate and the 3 washers and 3 dryers worked well. The two men in the office were very nice, funny, and helpful. Our stay was great!

It is a beautiful campground with an excellent staff. Unfortunately, it seems like it is located in a wind tunnel and the winds were disconcerting at times.

We enjoyed our stay, the location was perfect. The staff were courteous and helpful. We found everything to be as advertised. The bathrooms and grounds were clean, the site was level and worked great for us. We will definitely be coming back! Well done!

I have been camping at the Salida KOA for 4 weeks every year for the past 2 years. Folks are friendly. The facilities are great. Nice location...short drive to town or to the mountains. I'll be back next year!

Our stay was great, everything worked as promised. Most importantly, the front desk worked with me when I left a few hours later than the normal check out.

Wonderful stay! Great shower facilities and appreciated the laundry center. This was very convenient for our stay. Facilities were clean and comfortable.

I was actually surprised that this is considered a KOA. No amenities, no wifi to speak of, ok bathrooms; just not a typical KOA facility.

everything was fine but the wi-fi is literally useless. 2-3 bars throughout the 8 day stay, would take minutes to load cnn.com or would just time out.

It had been a couple years since we stayed at this KOA. There have been lots of improvements, bathrooms are clean and the grounds are well kept. Highly recommend this place.

Full hookups for a reasonable price and it's truly a beautiful location. Large, pull-through sites. Easy access. Manager was friendly and helpful.

Clean campground. Very nice amenities. Overall very happy with this spot. Wifi was very weak and there was no cable hookup, but that's not what we camp for anyway.

Wish they would allow more than 400 words. Very Beautiful location and SUPER CLEAN. All the utensils and facilities were clean and the only thing I would suggest would be BBQ tongs. The linens were clean and smelled clean. our BBQ and firepit area was very clean and well appointed. We could tell the owners take pride in this campground, will definitely be back, wish we would've booked longer.

Very nice campground with astounding, friendly staff. I have been on site for 6 months. I had to laugh at reading some of the reviews. There are campground rules to follow and to many people come in the park thinking these rules don't apply to them. Such as taking items from other sites that aren't occupied at the moment, speeding, chopping down the campground trees because they don't want to buy wood, starting huge bonfires that aren't safe for anyone around. So yes, if you come in the park thinking the rules don't apply to you, you will most likely get a talking to and deservedly so. The rules are here to keep everyone safe and to keep the grounds nice.
