Jennifer is absolutely AMAZING!! The other staff was also nice and helpful. Enjoyed our time there. The place is being worked on so I hope in the future the bathrooms and showers are more up to date. Other than that it’s a good place to camp.

Great location for all your hiking, ATV/motorcycle riding. Things that need improvement. The water pressure is pretty weak, (30 lbs of pressure). Also, they don't have any cable TV service and there's no stations available from antenna. Weeds aren't getting addressed. If you have a larger RV you will likely have to back in instead of their advertised pull thru, due to huge rock islands.

It was a beautiful site. My only issue was having kids run through our camp site. That’s on the parents not the KOA though.

I have stayed at this KOA twice now. I absolutely love the location of this campground. It is perfect for all the places I love to go. The campground itself is absolutely beautiful and has such a calming presence. I can't wait to come back!

We love this KOA Campground! Stayed here before in a cabin. This time brought our new to us RV trailering our Jeep to do some 4 Wheeling. We've already made reservations to return in August

We had a great tent spot along the creek with lots of shade. Campsite restrooms and showers were cleaned daily. Great little spot not far from Salida as well as other great hiking spots.

They are in the middle of renovations. Was bummed that the pool wasn't open as that is what we go to KOA campgrounds for and it doesn't look like it will be open for quite some time as it is full of storage materials.But I do love the new additions that are being made. We were able to dump at our site because the septic was full, they did offer for us to hook to a different site when we left.

All of the staff were very friendly and helpful! Only downfall is the difficulty getting a larger rig around the large boulders in row H. It’s to tight to get out.

Would’ve given 5 stars but both men’s and women’s bathrooms were out of paper towels and almost out of toilet paper. Also one of the women’s shower drains was clogged. Didn’t see any extra paper towels or toilet paper and would’ve been nice to have an extra supply.

Amazing stay. We had a campsite with a stream, kids loved it. Very quiet and will be back. Some really nice hikes close by

I love KOA. As a rule, I stay at one each time I have the opportunity and stay for the amenities and cleanliness. Unfortunately, I missed a few work meetings due to the inadequate WIFI. I was frustrated and could not do anything about it over a holiday weekend. I guess when a place says they have WIFI, I assume it works and that is on me for assuming. Not a good experience.

This campsite is old and outdated and has no services. WiFi, despite advertised, didn't work. Bathrooms are old and small. The pool is abandoned and can't be used. No trails for hiking or biking. I paid $80 per night, which is ridiculous given that I only stayed there because I needed internet for work. I ended up going into town to work. Only upsides are convenient location and friendly staff.

Second time here this summer and this time to escape the loud fireworks. You guys didn't disappoint. So nice and peaceful and beautiful mountains all around each side to stare at.

Centrally located to lots of things to do. Our first time in the area and our stay was good. Great office staff. It's a new KOA and they're working hard on the amenities. We'll be back.

Very friendly staff, and a beautiful background! We did have loud neighbors, and I suppose you get them every once in a while.

We’ll be back! First time, can see improvements being made. Friendly staff. Quiet, not much road noise. Our dog liked the stream! 15 mins to downtown Salida, 30 mins to BV. Water pressure not so good, and older wooden picnic table.

The Salida/Mt. Shavano KOA is under new ownership. We arrived at 1:15 pm and the office was locked. Our reservation was on a clipboard outside the office. We had to locate our full hook-up site by ourselves. Two issues we faced when we found our assigned site were: A) Our assigned site was unlevel. B) Our site had very low water pressure. Office said they were having problems.

I understand it is a new campground to the KOA family They do have a ways to go to get up to the standards that I have come to expect at KOA campgrounds I am 78 years old, and I believe I could match the stream of water out of my faucet They are trying and if we get in the area again, we would like to try them out to see about the improvements

Friendly staff. I like the unique stair-step arrangement of the RV sites that allowed me to look over the neighbor's rig instead of in their window, and the nice shade over the picnic table. The Wi-Fi was poor beyond about the third row. The bathroom is extremely cramped and tight (like they took the standard KOA bathroom plan and made things smaller).

This was up at the Mt not far from the KOA. The KOA had great sites for RV and tent. The staff was very kind.
