The park is well-kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. The views are beautiful. This was our second stay for 8 days. We enjoyed it and will return.

Camp ground has great spacing but was disappointed that we didn’t know about the plumbing issues so no laundry or showers. We try and schedule KOA on wash day so has I known I could have found a laundromat. It may have been on the site when I booked but I don’t recall seeing anything about the lack of the above mentioned amenities and no discount applied .

The only negative thing I can say about the campground is that it needs more shade for the RV area. Otherwise it was a great experience. Marti in the office was very accommodating and knowledgeable and just a really nice lady!

The site was level and weed free. Good long sites. We were 40' + a tow vehicle. We fit. Which was great.

I always enjoy my stay at this KOA. I primarily love the location--being close to so many outdoor activities yet still feeling remote and secluded. Always a favorite of mine.

The facility was very clean and staff was friendly. However, the water pressure was so low that we could not use the water directly as it was too low to work. Instead we had to fill the tank (which was a very slow process) and use our storage tank water. The wifi was very sporadic and even when available it was insufficient for even managing emails. The location was beautiful.

Everything was amazing as always. Water pressure wasn't great but other than that we really enjoyed our stay.

I won't stay at this KOA ever again.Showers and bathroom are gross at best. Got an email less than hour after checking in, advising not following 5mph posted speed.Was going maybe 7-9 mph.Some guy-Gino?-yelled at my son and me for removing some dead tree limbs to start a campfire. Told to buy firewood at lobby. Had a 7 day reservat and left after 3 days it was so bad. Won't ever go back.

Our site had dirty paper towels, cigarette butts, q-tips and tie wrap pieces everywhere. I picked up the paper towels so my dogs wouldn’t eat them. Very little (horrible) water pressure, and wifi was non existent in the park. Dog park is located at front of park, and is fenced in dirt area with no shade. Beautiful area and on the side of a mountain, Kabins are on the back row, long walk to restrooms but not a big deal unless you have issues with walking. Tent camp area it awesome. Clean restrooms. Nice walking trail around north side of camp ground. Close to Salida. Short drive or ride to restaurants. I travel on a street style motorcycle so the roads and parking around camp are great!

Marti was great help and made us feel welcome! Lovely are with so much to do in surrounding areas. We are returning next summer for longer trip .Perhaps next summer more on site activities for the kiddos!

The staff was friendly and campground was well kept but it didn't measure up to the other KOAs we've stayed at. That could be because of its age. Besides not having grassy areas and trees, the biggest issue we had was with the water pressure and wifi signal. If those things were fixed it would be a much more pleasant stay. We would probably opt for a different place to stay next time.

I took my 8 year olds tent camping here for the first time, and it was great! We ended up in a fancy cabin the second night, which was nicer than some motels I've stayed at! The folks that run things are very helpful, and the facilities are clean and well-kept. We will be back!

Saddest KOA that we’ve stayed at. No landscaping, any grass was more weed. No shade- felt like we were camping in a gravel lot. They had a pool, but it wasn’t filled. The rec area was dated- the tv looked like it was from 1980. The bathrooms were clean, but the handsoap was empty. Good location for Salida, but needed some love.

Rented a deluxe cabin for 3 nights. There were 4 on the property. Two had shade triangles with chairs and privacy structures. Ours did not have any of this! The other three were vacant the first night we were there. Why weren't we assigned to one of the two that had these amenities? We were told the computer makes the assignments....really?? Had to beg for two chairs for the first two nights. More

I love this KOA. The positives: nice, level spots; friendly staff; conveniences; location. Suggestions: Boost wifi - there is just enough signal strength to get a person frustrated; soap in the shower house (I used it over a period of 3 days & the soap never was refilled). My final suggestion - allow those of us who boondocks to use some of the larger "tent" spaces which are so lovely.

The 5th star is a little reluctant, only because this park is the only one I've seen where many guests literally drive to the bathhouse/restroom. Its distance from the campsites is my only negative for the park. The view from our site was gorgeous. The camp is clean, the restrooms well kept. Location is good: 5 miles from Poncha Springs and another 5 into Salida. Lots of activities & resources!

We have come to this KOA for the last 7 years and this was our 20th Anniversary and we asked for a specific space H5 for 3 night, (2 mo. in advance) upon our arrival we were informed that we could not have the space because of 3 single night reservations for that space, later we found out that it was the owner friends for the first night and so it was given to them instead of honoring our request.

The views were gorgeous and the park was well maintained but the water pressure was awful and the WiFi was practically useless. Fixable items that really need to be addressed.

The camp host were awesome and we really enjoyed our stay! However, the bathrooms were really far away and could use cleaning more often. The bathroom was out of soap and paper towels while we were there.

Very accommodating, gave me my same spot as last year. Bathroom was clean but could use a good door return as is left open too often. They could use some more staff to maybe check tp etc. before bedtime. Beautiful views, great access to 4wheel trails, and hiking trails. Good food in town and three breweries. We will be back next year. A+

Very nice sites, nicely landscaped with big rocks, gravel surface. Great views. Bathrooms nice and clean, in a fairly old building. Limited facilities, but typical for a “Journey.” Water pressure is very low, but does flow. Junk vehicle and piles of equipment near the old pool enclosure detract from appearance. “Private Residence” house on property not being maintained. Nice and helpful

We only stayed one night and it was fine. The only main issue was the water pressure as we were told it is gravity fed and not pressurized? Our water pump had quit working so we couldn't use it. However, we did not take showers that morning so it wasn't a big deal for us. The people were nice, our site was fairly level, it was quiet, and we were close to Salida - so overall a good experience.

Very nice campground with astounding, friendly staff. I have been on site for 6 months. I had to laugh at reading some of the reviews. There are campground rules to follow and to many people come in the park thinking these rules don't apply to them. Such as taking items from other sites that aren't occupied at the moment, speeding, chopping down the campground trees because they don't want to buy wood, starting huge bonfires that aren't safe for anyone around. So yes, if you come in the park thinking the rules don't apply to you, you will most likely get a talking to and deservedly so. The rules are here to keep everyone safe and to keep the grounds nice.
