Very poor water pressure made it hard to shower. The slimy muddy roads were very annoying because of rain, everything from rvs to interiors were dirty, It was slippery getting into campground and spaces. Not worthy of the KOA name. Wish managers/owners were on site to convey disappointment but they were gone both nights we were there on our outgoing and return from an actual nice well run place.

Great location, clean campground, clean bathrooms, great staff. The breakfast pizza was wonderful as well as the everything pizza. Neat setup where you don't have to leave the compound to search for a restaurant. I have camped here before and will do so again!!!

The closed pool is an eyesore. It should be repaired or removed. The community common space is tired and in need of organizing and updating. The camp sites are clean and set up nicely. It was quiet so we got a good nights rest before we hit the road again.

It was exciting to stay at a new KOA location, in the beautiful surroundings of tis region. Our hosts were friendly and professional. Our only complaints: our cabin lacked a ceiling fan, so we had to buy one. There’s only one electrical outlet in the cabin—very inconvenient. We’ve been spoiled by other KOA campgrounds. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay.

It is a nice clean and spacious campground. I wish the rv sites were a little more level and our water pressure was only 20lb, so we had to use internal pump to get enough pressure for our water. Otherwise it was a good experience

Very nice staff! It was peaceful ,beautiful & relaxing. The water pressure was a trickle, but their showers were wonderful. Also , either replace or fix the dryers.

Our cabin was clean and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. The park was simple and maintained. The reservation was easy to make and check in was straight forward.

Fire Grates need to be installed at all campsites. I cooked the hamburgers in a pan by putting some rocks to hold it, but I had planned on grilling them, which couldn't happen. A pressure regulator was already installed on the hydrant. We had no water pressure. Internet service was poor.

Super easy check in and check out. Staff was above and beyond friendly during their routine rounds to check on everyone, which made us feel very safe and taken care of.

Tent camped and it was very noisy from highway traffic. The koa worker drove around on his 4 wheeler making laps every 30 min. around the campground. noise from the 4 wheeler was distracting.The bath house is at the very front entrance so a bit of a hike for tent campers who need the restroom. I noticed a lot of people driving up to the restrooms. it gets a 4 for quick Access to activities.

Enjoyed the campground. Nice view of Mt. Shavano in the distance and a beautiful drive up to Monarch Pass.

I stay here a lot. It is a good place, convenient to everything I want to do while visiting the Salida area.

The campground men’s bathroom did not have a handicapped stall. My husband had a hip replacement 1 week before our stay and needed a handicapped stall. We were very disappointed that this was not available. Isn’t it required by the ADA (American Disabilities Act)??

The staff was very friendly, but there are a few issues with the RV sites. When we checked in we were put at the end away from the office. The lady did tell me that there wasn’t good WI-FI. The site was too small to pull into so we had to go around and back in. The water pressure was so low we had to use our pump to run the water heater and shower. The value was not worth the stay. A lovely location outside of Salida and off of HWY 50. My electric "tent" campsite was set at the top of the hill and backed by trees, a good location. The bathroom and showers were clean and had hot water. One con was the Wi-Fi, which had a weak signal such that I could not use it from my campsite. Instead, I took my laptop to the common "pavillon" to do my work.

The campsite was very nice (a bit tight for a 35’ rig to exit) with beautiful surroundings. The beauty of Colorado never disappoints. The people were all very nice and we will definitely go back.

Great location to stay for access to Salida, hiking, mountain biking, and Monarch Pass. Tiered sites are great because everyone has a nice view. Pull thru is nice option, but longer rigs (40 foot +) should approach with care and be sure to swing wide when making the turn into the site as there are rock borders at each site.

I stayed at this KOA the first year it opened, and except for last year when I was in Scotland for 15 days, have stayed there since when I come to Salida in June.

Vegetation was sparse and area was windy, but the setting in the approach to Monarch Pass and the surrounding peaks was appreciated. It was not far from Salida, Browns Canyon NM, Buena Vista, and the Arkansas River.

Great little spot in the inner mountains of Colorado. The spots are tight to get into and out of with a 40’ 5th wheel.

It’s a very convenient place to stay but the road noise is a bit much and the internet service is terrible. If you’re there to disconnect then this is the place. If you’re needing to complete work or can’t live without your social media or online binge watching, go somewhere else with better internet.

Very nice facility. We were happy with our stay. Thanks for the good service! One more thing - see if you can install some signage on Highway 50 and US 285 to alert travelers that your facility is ahead.

The place was only OK. I feel the price was too high, just have a place to stay with hook-ups. The place was clean.

This was up at the Mt not far from the KOA. The KOA had great sites for RV and tent. The staff was very kind.
