Great place and great service

Largely exceeded my expectations. Tent sites are indeed secluded and quiet, the site was clean and level, nice mix of shade and sun, and the location is wonderful overall. The restrooms and showers were also very clean. Last but not the least, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I will warmly recommend the Russell Springs location to other members of my club.

We unfortunately had a rainy stay at KOA but staff was very understanding in letting us know if we needed anything to let them know.

The campground was nice, but there wasn't much around the camp ground to do. The workers were all pleasant and the grounds are well kept. For my first KOA campground, I'm satisfied. I expected the campground to connect to lake Cumberland, possibly with a beach front, and was disappointmented to find this wasn't the case.

Bluegrass Festival was such a fun event! Happy we found this KOA.

We didn't stay long due to arriving late and leaving very early, so can't speak to much in the area. But our welcome was absolutely wonderful despite it being late (around 11:00)--super pleasant, engaging, informative, neighborly. Our tent site was spacious, flat, soft. Bathrooms were clean and a good size. All around wonderful experience if short.

We had quite an eventful stay in May, a group of very young adults wanted to party all night with obscene music and behavior- and us with 4 young children.. But I was relieved when the man in yellow came, remaining professional despite their drunken threats. The next night we had a terrible storm but the men in yellow quickly took care of the downed trees and made sure we were alright.

When I booked on the website, it gave me a price for 4 people for two nights. When I arrive, they tell me it's an EXTRA $20/tent after one tent. We're already paying an extra fee per person, but an extra TENT charge? Unreal. At least put that estimate on the website so we can account for that ahead of time. Sites are extremely close together, no privacy at all for tent camping.

Worst employees/ owners ever. Got mouthed off to by the owner who also got in my boyfriends face after we turned our music down for them, they were rude and made us leave on Memorial Day weekend at almost 11 at night! Ridiculous! NEVER GOING BACK. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Great wilderness setting for tent camping. All amenities great, restrooms and showers clean. Host was great !! Will stay there again when in the area !!

This was my first stay at a KOA. From start to finish it was a great experience. Staff helped me make a reservation just right for my group's special needs. The restroom facilities were clean and adequate. The camp store was well-stocked and the staff were very friendly. Proximity to Lake Cumberland will certainly bring us back to this KOA.

This is a larger KOA but seems more intimate because of the setting. Some of the facilities are older and in need of some repair (bathroom stall locks?) but the people make up for any deficiencies in the camp! One of the best.

Loved having the extra bathrooms near the tent sites. It was very convenient. All the people who worked there were very friendly.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Very clean and peaceful. Great location! I love that they have a shuttle to and from the marina and beach area.Tent area is very spaceous. I love this KOA!

My family and I have been to 2 different campsite;zilpo & lake Cumberland resort, and so far KOA is a winner.Hospitality is world class and security is top notch. This site made my family and I feel like we were camping back home in Kenya at Crayfish campsite on lake naivasha, kenya. Awesome experience.The only con was the restroom. They need to centralize the restrooms for convenience at night.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay. Peaceful get away. Spent most of our time swinging in our hammock. Most of the caperswe merry were nice. Definitely will be back

The campground was clean and well maintained, but the bathrooms were tiny and there was always a line to use them. I would stay at another KOA but not that one again.

wonderful time, very safe and secure. I forgot to tell the office but all the running water in the camp sites looked like milk, not sure why.

Our campsite was not a real site. The KOA employee had to go get us a fire ring which ended up being a bunch of rocks. All other sites had a metal fire ring.

The bluegrass festival was nice, but this campground needs some TLC... The roads need fixed, the camp sites need to be better maintained such as mowing the grass, paint the fences, clean out the fire pits , and the bathrooms need updated. We love the camp, but we will not camp here again.

We booked our reservation to stay at this KOA because we thought it was close to Cumberland falls because that is what the information said in the site. Well it is not close to the falls it is an hour and a half away. The campsite had multiple things "out of order" and the front desk wasn't very helpful. We have stayed at many KOA campsites this summer and this one to say the least was by far the

Some extra restrooms would've been nice. It's a pain to take my young children all the way up to the bathhouse several times a day.

The campground was very dated. Not much to do in the area except Alligator Marina. The RV sites are very close to each other. The pool was Okay, the playground was simple, and the recreation room was run down and neglected. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful with things to do in Russell Springs which was about 20 minutes away and The National Fish Hatchery which was about 50 min.

Located on the high banks of lake Cumberland the campground is quiet and reasonably priced. Spots were easy to get in and out of and utilities worked fine for the whole stay. Staff were friendly and facilities were nice.

We have been visiting this KOA for about 25 years and we still love it!! Definitely recommend!
