Over all it was a nice stay. However the sharp turn from the lower level to the upper level needs to be addressed. I was very concerned about how to navigate it without having a accident.

Our campground is on wooded knoll and backs up to Lake Cumberland. Unfortunately this summer we have seen record heat for KY in the month of June.

Very nice and well maintained. They have a lot of things for kids to do. Didn't swim but the Swimming pool looked great.

Our swimming pool has been completely renovated. It is a large pool for a KOA at 40,000 gallons. We hope you enjoyed your stay with us.

We really like Russell Springs KOA. Already looking forward to next year. We wish sites were more level. We would like to point out appreciation for Mike. We witnessed him going beyond, to be able to aid an elderly man who was visiting his family that where camping there.

The staff was so helpful and very friendly. We had a great stay. We had to book the three night minimum even though we could only stay two, that is my only complaint.

Friendly staff. Needs lots of updates like gravel or more paving and definitely need updates to tent sites. It rained a lot and so much mud. Also on camping lots all connections are together at the back end of lot. Sewer is usually in middle of most. Game room games a lot didn't work and need repairs.

John the owner was very friendly and helpful. Our spot was clean and had a nice concrete pad. There is limited grass and the amenities are dated. The mini golf is not useable. Fine for a brief stopover but not the nicest KOA we’ve seen.

This is a beautiful site. Close to lake dense trees cool. Would suggest more garbage cans on lower levels. Camp host very helpful

We were very pleased with the personal attention in helping us at the campground and with a package that was to arrive 'after' we were leaving. The area we were in was somewhat difficult cause the camper was at an angle and there was a large embankment in front of us so it took awhile before we could hook up to our fifth wheel.

It was very, very quiet. It was still off season and I’m assuming most people who stay are full time seasonal people. My husband said the man who checked us in was “probably the nicest person he’s ever met”. The bathrooms were clean. My only complaint were not any dog bag stations with garage cans that we could see.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful in letting us know the local sites and places to visit during our stay in the area! It was a very nice campground to go for short walks to the lookout point and through the park! A very relaxing visit!

We have been at Russell Springs for 4 summers. I’m not happy with the lack of internet service considering we have not good cell service there and are very close to the office. For as much as we pay it should be much better.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I like that the sites were spacious and secluded. I did not like that there was no lake access and I was unable to fish. The Wi-Fi was weak and had limited phone service.

If I am to continue to patronize KOA, I will have to be impressed that there is a level of standard that I can rely upon at every KOA no matter the circumstances. Items that are priority for me as an avid camper/traveler are 1. If every customer cannot access wifi, then do not advertise it as an offering. 2.The sites in the whole campground were substandard in appearance.

The only thing I have against this KOA would be some of the camper sites are a little tight and the bathrooms need to be updated. But it's a great little get away with friendly helpful staff.

Thought it would be next to Cumberland Lake. Old campground with very trashy long term campers. Most of the campers looked like no one lived in them. Bathrooms were clean but very old. They have a pool, was not open due to season. Site was unlevel where they put us. There was a better area for short term campers but they put us with the trashy long term ones. The worst KOA we have stayed at.

Always have a great experience when visiting KOA Journey, Russellville, KY. Mike was there to get us checked in & escort us to our site. We had inquired, several weeks in advance, about a ride to the nearby Lake Cumberland Marina. Mike gave us time to set up & picked us up for the short ride to the Marina. We so appreciated him helping us out. Always a great experience staying here.

First time camping in my rv. Pull thru site was perfect. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Kudos to his staff who were very helpful and friendly. Place is extremely well maintained and clean. Will definitely be back

after paying a premium price to stay, cable and wifi did not work, no one ever in office, no one ever came around to check on us, and you charged us a $25 pet fee but did not tell us there would be a pet fee. Motels charge pet fees not campgrounds. Stayed here 5 or 6 years ago and was much better then. everything worked, no pet fee, and just $27 a night. Hope this is not an example of all KOA's.

This was our last camping weekend for the season. Terrible spot, only one staff member…who was awesome…campground was run down, requested firewood at the store, someone went to get but left it on the ground. We are so used to having very attentive staff at KOAs. Regardless if it’s off season or not, there should always be a certain level of hospitality. Great place for a one night stay/lake

Located on the high banks of lake Cumberland the campground is quiet and reasonably priced. Spots were easy to get in and out of and utilities worked fine for the whole stay. Staff were friendly and facilities were nice.
