Loved your campground and location.Just missed some of the little niceties that most "Holiday" rated KOAs offer. The views and sites were amazing.

We were crammed into a site that was supposed to be for a 40ft trailer that had no room at either end. We had to back up and move away from the limbs that had not been tended to that were rubbing our trailer. We should have never been put there because to get out we had to back out to make the turn to exit the rv park. We have oulled this trailer for 5 years and other trailers for an additional 10

Nice place. There are some nice camp sites - mine had NO trees, NO sail shade, NO nice chairs - many others did. But it was a good stay. ALSO, the pool should have handle bars to get in/down the stairs. Many of our guests stubbed their toes because you couldn't tell where the steps started - maybe put a darker blue paint on the edge of the steps so they are visible.

Spots were spacious, very well kept. Activities were dated and not as nicely kept. Showers were tiny and bathrooms could’ve used more cleaning throughout the day. The pool was ice cold.

One of the nicest KOAs that we have stayed to date. The site was amazing it had a very nice patio to include incredible table and four chairs with an additional two chairs for the firepit. Easy drive to the Royal Gorge, as well as back to town. The staff was very helpful throughout our stay.

We have stayed at many KOA campgrounds throughout the years and I have to say that this campground was one of the best we have ever stayed at. The staff was professional, friendly, helpful and really put forth the effort to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The facilities were clean and well kept. The activities that were available to the whole family were fun and unique. Great Place!

We had a deluxe site for our RV and a cabin for our adult kids. It worked great! Sites are roomy with a fire ring and furniture. Bathroom and Shower house was clean most of the time. Cabin was good, had to be careful with refrigerator. It didn’t seem to get very cold so we kept perishables in the RV frig. Good location to hit the Royal Gorge, Salida and Colorado Springs.

For a large campground it was fairly well Maintained. Bathroom was well kept. Mini golf area seemed overlooked/forgotten about. Pool was nice but filter did not seem to be working.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Well stocked store and clean laundromat. Didn’t use the pool but it looked inviting. Only reason for a 4 was the site was steep for us flatlanders!

They were courteous and got me in right away even though I had not booked in advance. There was an issue with electricity, but found out from the campground's electrician (who came almost immediately to diagnose the issue) that the breakers were revers of the plug-ins on the power pole between the sites. Water in showers was serviceable, but definitely not as hot as I'd have liked.

We loved this KOA. There was so much to do in the camp and around it. We had a blast and stayed longer than we planned because it was beautiful. I absolutely loved the pet pens. I wish all koa’s had them. It was so nice to have an area just for them right at our site.

We paid for a 50amp site and when we got to the camp we were given a 30amp site. I said something and then we were moved to a different site with 50 Amp service. The new site was small with a length not long enough for the trailer and truck. The sites are small and the road around the camp sites is narrow. We had a hard time as we pulled out making the turns within the park without hitting stones

Website/app had no photos or good description of glamping tents so we ended up changing accommodations - to one that was twice the cost - after we got there simply to have 2 separate beds. The facility itself was great, as was the staff, just could have been better prepared if we had the correct info prior to checking in.

The stay was alright, I was not impressed with the staff, they didn’t engage in a manner that was welcoming. The majority of staff that we encountered appeared to be teenagers. There were campers across from us that put their dogs outside early mornings and allowed them to bark nonstop, I didn’t appreciate that. There was only 1 planned activity each evening and no information to attend.

We had a perfect camp spot near the office with lots of shade…beautiful landscaping…it is very kid friendly…only suggestion is to pave main entrance to office..windy area and lots of dust blowing around. Close to all sites…

It is a nice campground. The pool needs updating. The young lady in the office had no access to change for the laundry on Saturday morning The afternoon person was able to provide change but by then I was not wanting to do laundry.

The park is beautiful, everyone was great and when we ordered a pizza (fresh hand made to order) they delivered it to our space. There are no KOA signs along the highway so we drove right by it and had to call the office to get help to find the right turn off (at a restaurant called My Sister's Place). We would have loved to had time to stay longer.

I was very pleased with my cabin at the Royal Gorge KOA. The view out the front was stunning. The cleanliness and accommodations of the cabin were pleasing. The AC made a big difference after a hot day touring the Royal Gorge. I am looking forward to a getaway in this same place in the future. The location couldn’t have been more convenient. Thank you!

Not a good site sewer 2 ft from neighbors patio just a picnic table in the middle of uneven pavers layed on the ground when I make reservations described it totally different never again

It was awesome it was clean, well kept restroom were clean. I do want to thank the young lady who did the pancake breakfast she did a awesome job, the pancake were delicious, the coffee perfect. We are planning to come back next year I want to thank your staffs were excellent your koa was beautiful!

We have stayed in our trailer at this KOA several times now. It is a lovely campsite. It's very quiet, off the highway. It's beautiful, clean and has lots of things to do. Twice we have traveled with friends and family who have used the cabin facilities and they are lovely and clean and brand new. The dog and kids park are great. Love the Canyon City KOA!

We stayed in a deluxe site with a pergola and it was perfect! The campground is located in a great area for activities and sightseeing. The staff was very friendly and the park was very clean. We will definitely be back!

1. Prevailing winds from north or south blow smoke from other campers fire pit into campsite. Can't open RV windows due to smoke. 2. RV site orientation precludes/negates use of RV awning to block afternoon sun. Therefore no shade.

Communication prior to our stay was great. We arrived for late check in and found our map with no problem, but no key. We tried the emergency number, and after over an hour of waiting, we were able to make contact and get into the cabin. After 12 hours of driving it would have been nice to relax in our cabin instead of scrambling for an hour trying to decide if we needed to go elsewhere.

Its a beautiful location and has so many possibilities. The property has good upkeep but lacking upkeep on amenities. The pool is so cold, a heater would make it so it could be used in June. The golf course needs a makeover, its falling apart and covered in leaves, twigs and rocks. The slide needs to be buffed down, painted and waxes. Play ground needs to be fixed

Sadly, I found the staff to be indifferent, the wifi useless, and while trivial, no garbage collection at site. Great location for this KOA. However, not a good value at $100 for a single transient night stay. Also, wish KOA HQ and individual KOA would recognize KOA Reward VIPs more readily. We VIP seem to get nothing for our status, unlike hotel reward programs. Cheers !

Originally got a cheaper site and did not like it. Was able to upgrade and paid more for a better site that was renovated with a pet pen, seating area and canopy. Was very happy with the new site and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The KOA was very clean in a great location.

As peaceful as it gets this time of year. Stayed here beginning of April 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt/gravel pad. Pavers, landscaping, and very fine gravel/sand mix fire pit area. Site #B12 General: 1) Very quiet and not many other campers this time of year. 2) 5-7 min for Royal Gorge Bridge Park and overlook picnic areas. 3) Spacious sites and not too close to neighbors and their hookups (many are a touch short but still work well) Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Conducted Zoom meetings and able to work on vpn. BUT that is mainly b/c the park was fairly empty. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Verizon (4 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Site assignments posted on board. Office hours limited this time of year. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but too not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. Location: Gas, groceries and restaurants are in town 10 min Near highway: The KOA is slightly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: No
