Campground Reviews

I hate Wyoming because it’s ugly, but this KOA was very nice. It was clean, organized, and very well kept. Such a different stay from what we experienced in the Rawlins KOA. That one was horrible!

All was good except for AC wasn't very cold and the community kitchen sink behind the office didn't have water.

Was met by wonderful people. They were very helpful. The campground was very nicely organized,

pull in/pull out was good but very tight. no trees/grass was unfortunate. shower house was ok. view of the fuel tanks was unfortunate as well.

Check in was efficient and quick.

Convenient location. Fairly well maintained. No trees/shade. Pool was nice but the pool deck has so many tripping hazards. Staff was good about watching for bad weather and clearing pool when needed. My largest issue was the way sites are arranged. You and your neighbor door face each other

This was a stop over stop for us as we traveled between Yellowstone and Cheyenne. The check-in was very smooth and staff friendly. We did not utilize any of the amenities on this stop.

$77 for one night in an electric only site is a bit much for rocks and dirt, limited amenities. This is the second time staying here and there hasn’t been any improvements and the price has gone up. Probably won’t stay again.

This campground had a pool and playground. We enjoyed both. Behind the campground were hiking trails including a natural amphitheater (visible from the trail) and a loop to the main road. The employees were very helpful especially Laura. We had a great stay. (Parent and two kids)

Although this park’s location is a few miles west of the main part of Rock Springs it was a very convenient on and off of I 80. The entrance/exit roads are paved but the park roads and sites are gravel. Our site was fairly level and was surprisingly large and very nicely fenced with a paved patio fire pit and picnic table area. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Nicely maintained site, but located near industrial area with lots of highway and railroad noise. Also, pretty expensive.

All gravel RV spots. The picnic table is very close to thecRV.

This KOA is fine for one night but I wouldn't recommend it for a destination or a 2+ day layover. Sites very tight, door-to-door, and all gravel everywhere. It's more like a parking lot with hook-ups than a campsite.

Enjoyed it.

Restful and quiet

Personable clerk. Clean park. Easy in and out. Close to town. Thought the price was a bit much.

Nice location to visit the Gorge! Do not pay extra for the site with the swing, thinking that it belongs to your site...which it does...but everybody sits there while their dogs use it. There is a small sign "no dogs" , though.

The camp was very clean and the pool was clean and cold. Our site was level and easily connected. There is little grass but that's to be expected in the desert. We were grateful for the large space and the nearby amenities.

Very easy late check-in process. Nice wide rows to pull into and all the hook-ups worked perfectly. The wifi didn't work, the sheet had the wrong network name, I believe. The dog park was nice but my small dogs were able to jump through fence the holes were so large. :(

We stayed at a cabin which was very nice but had an odd smell inside. The area is industrial so it’s not a pretty site. I could smell refined oil. The area was quiet which was nice. The bathroom was horrible. It had a urnal leak which a staff member had put a cone to let people know although there was water everywhere and the sink and toilet were filthy as well as the shower curtain.

We stayed in the overflow area. The restrooms and showers were horrible. They are modular rooms. They were dirty, trash was full, walls had water damage, floors and baseboards were dirty. We looked at the premium patio sites and they weren’t much better than the dirt gravel that we had. It wasn’t worth the price. We stayed at the West Pueblo CO KOA the night before. It was clean and beautif

Great place and very clean but we were in a total wind tunnel and it rocked our little camper all night. We couldn't even keep our propane lit to fix our food. Really need some wind blocks around there or a tree!

It was like being in a gravel parking lot in the middle of a field. Weeds overgrown everywhere. I was so disappointed we left after the first day

We asked for shade we got it but could not back our truck as the was a telephone pole in the middle we had to move twice

You need to stop renting spaces without water, that’s twice I have been screwed by Rock Springs KOA ! Trust me when I tell you I will never stay there again! The only bright spot at that KOA is Office staff, and in particular Jackie. Good bye for good!

The private shower bathrooms were nasty, shower did not drain so the shower pan filled with water that had scum floating in it. No adequate exhaust ventilation so the entire room was slippery with moisture from previous guest shower. We did enjoy the Killpecker Dune Field where we walked and collected small marine fossils. Convenient location for cross country travel, but no thanks next time.

We broke down and had to be towed to the campsite. We didn't stay in any of their places. We had our own fifth wheel. But they got us a spot right away, They were very kind and helpful. Cindy is the sweetest. She would come by and check on us. Everyone went out of their way to help. Treated us like family. We will be back to stay.

My buddy and I made the questionable choice of renting a tent site in bad weather. The staff called us and helped us figure out a cabin instead. Laura, thank you for the reality check and help.
