Stayed for 2 nights. Although the staff was friendly, we were very disappointed in the sites. Our first site was tiny and it felt like we were camping in a parking lot, since we were next to a horse trailer. I asked to be moved, which was accommodated for a fee and the next site was better. There was also a lot of traffic and construction noise.

You need to warn customers of nearby construction and all the dust and debris in the air. Been coming to Boomtown KOA for years. This was the worst stay.

Front desk staff are terrific. However the lawn maintenance people used a weed eater in the gravel along the side our space C83 and put many, many dings on the side of our coach. We reported this damage to the management people who are not doing anything. The damage is inconsistent with any road damage on the other side of the coach. We are therefore VERY displeased.

The park was clean but the spot we were in was tiny, uneven and right next to the dumpster. It was too small for a 35’ fifth wheel with slides on both sides. Even if I wanted to open my awning I wouldn’t be able to, the fence around the dumpster was about a foot from my trailer. We were in site B72.

Rv pads are too narrow and uneven. Garbage dumpster was too close to the pad. I should never have been placed in this rv spot. Tight turns with a 35 ft. 5th wheel

We made a last minute decision to run to Reno for an overnight stay with our pull trailer, we called the day of and asked to reserve a site, the area we prefer of the Boomtown campground was available and the man we spoke to on the phone was more than willing to accommodate us by reserving a space in that area. When we arrived, the front desk staff were super helpful! Will come again, for sure!

Checked in to site E114 and the site was dirty from the previous occupants. Went to the office and requested the raw hamburger that was smashed in the ground be removed and washed. Went up to the Casino to have dinner. Upon return nothing was cleaned. I didn’t get the girls name but she was white with long brown hair that I spoke with.Overgrown tree limbs blocked the trailer slides from closing

Well, when we pulled in there was dirty feces, gloves, thrown in our campsite by our neighbors they had kids running through their trailer all day all night campsites very small would I stay there again yes, but in a different site and not with a bunch of kids running around The banging and yelling ! We really liked our site in the back near the playground. Although warned about internet, we were able to use it. But we didn't try to stream anything. We will be returning again next week so hope we are in the same area again!!

There weren't bathrooms at night and they didn't say that in advance, on the website or on the phone. Which meant there wasn't anywhere for my kids to use the bathroom when they woke up at night. The pool wasn't open at the advertised time. The whole place was really run down. Pretty much just a parking lot, especially the short sites.

Space was numbered k02. At the register it said 002. I circled the camp spots until I figured it out. The one ONE bathroom was disgusting. I should’ve stayed at a highway rest area.

Very nice campground overlooking a deep gorge with a river down below. Sitting on top of a cliff you have a great view. We had a patio site on the end of a row which was very nice. Grass between sites and some trees as well. Did not try the pool and we didn't use the dog run since it was at the far end of the campground. Friendly staff. We stayed three days and would return.

We like staying here before heading home. This stay it seemed people would drive fast through the campground so be careful walking around.

Close to Reno and Lake Tahoe. However not very friendly for the rigs who are not self contained. Only two rooms with 1 toilet/shower after office hours. Park is tiny and there is no other activities. Good if you are travelling throught but that's it.

Utilities worked as expected, plenty of trash cans and places to walk your dogs. Conveniently located to Reno. Only negative was the trash all along the fence behind our site.

Grounds were unkept and there seemed to be a lot of debris & junk around the persons who are staying there long term. The long term residence are a little sketchy (digging in trash, jumping the fences etc) and their lots are right next to the park which left us feeling unsafe letting our kids play. Pool area was not kept up, overgrown weeds, pool furniture dirty. Front desk staff was nice.

We got a beautiful spot overlooking the Truckee River! We weren’t expecting that as an overnighter. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains. It was a pleasant, clean park with families. Our cable TV didn’t work but the antenna reception from Reno was fine. We remember Boomtown as just a truck stop. It’s much more now, but it doesn’t impact the KOA campgrounds at all.

Agree with others...its a parking lot with hookups. Lots of really large rigs here. However if you're here when it's a little less crowded you'll find it more appealing. Clean and well kept shower areas, bathrooms and a laundry facility. Lots of pets traveling along for the trip with their owners around the park. Folks walking dogs walk by often. Some follow park rules others don't. Watch where you step! Housing development just being built on the north side of the park. It won't be nearly as private soon.
