It would have been VERY helpful if I had been warned that an approach to the campground using Laural road from the east past Haystack Reservoir is 9 miles of rough gravel road and should NOT be used by motor homes or trailers as recommended by both Google maps and AAA routes!

What makes this KOA so wonderful is the people that work there. We stayed there by chance but will definitely be staying again when we travel that way to see our grandkids. It was safe and in a perfect location too.

Although it was still 'winter' the campground was in very good shape. Kind professional staff. We had an issue with our power, but as soon as I mentioned it to a staff person, it was taken care of within 2 hours. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Countryside was beautiful with easily 300 degree views. Lots of mountains within view of the campsite.

Checked in late like I usually do at KOAs. Wanted a primitive site, but was forced to take a W/E tent site even though the primitive sites were empty. Went to use the bathroom only to find they had a lock code on them. Texted the number on the registration board with no response. Essentially paid $57 for a primitive site w/o being able to use the amenities which is why I choose KOA. Won't be back.

Extremely kind and helpful staff! Easy access to Smith Rock State Park and Redmond/Bend. Will definitely be coming back if we find ourselves in the area again.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The campground and bath house are clean and organized, The location is rural and far enough off the highway to be quiet at night. No restaurants nearby but they have an extensive store with lots of food suppliers.

The employees were great but the campground needs updated power. The 30amp power was not reading through power and our friend had issues with her motorhome, otherwise the place is great just far enough away from the highway (1/2 mile) to not hear the traffic.

Nice people, tucked away grounds surrounded by beautiful pastures and rolling hills. However, 20 miles from Redmond, + 15 more to Bend, which was the draw for us.

We were passing through on our way to hike/climb at Smith Rock. Beautiful setting, neat and clean facility and friendly staff! We would definitly stay again!

The people there were kind. I just didn’t like the KOA. Wasn’t maintained well. Came in for after hours check in, never received the information for what site we were suppose to stay in like the text and phone call I had said. Sites were small, the snow was not plowed, ice everywhere. But yet you have to know where the grass is but unable to see it.

Nice staff and in a beautiful location. If you get the mountain side of the campground the view of Mt. Jefferson is amazing!

While the staff was wonderful the place was very run down they put us in the middle of nasty looking full timers. Which I don’t have a problem with but make them keep their sites CLEAN! I will not recommend nor stay again. 49. A night no cable no amenities the pizza shack could have been open! Thanks for taking our hard earned dollar. And BTW I know nothing will become of the rating!����

Office staff were great and very helpful the facilities were outstanding - some of the best I have experienced and it could use a little more gravel in a few walking areas but no big deal. A good distance from the highway - some parks are right next to the highway.

Our neighbor had three large dogs and it looked like he hadn’t picked up their mess in a week. I stepped in some as I got out of our tow vehicle. Another long term trailer had ripped trash bags under their trailer along with broken camp chairs. The reason I stay at a KOA is to avoid campgrounds like this one. In our 3400 mile trip this was the only campground to not receive a nine or ten rating.

Very nice park and well maintained. Staff was very accommodating when we needed a different site and we were very comfortable for the night and our dog loved the pet areas. Very clean.

This KOA always feels like a home away from home for us! It is well maintained, quiet and comfortable. The management is very nice and attentive. I love how we get text message communications from them the day of arrival, one of the best KOAs we’ve stayed at! Thank you!!

We arrived without reservations but the campground was able to accommodate us. Staff were friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the strong wifi connection and the store which stayed open til 10pm, The site had a fire pit and good water and electricity connections. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The friendliness cleanliness was more than anyone could ask for. We will be back next year. The swimming pool closed to early since the weather was so co-operating. Keep stocking the rocky road candy bars. Can't find them anywhere.

The check in/out young lady was great. The site was nice. There was lots of dog doo next door. And it sounded like someone was running a generator all night.

Super unlevel sight, impossible to get it even close and we've never had an issue anywhere else. Had vertigo from walking inside at an angle. Couldn't wait to leave the next morning.

Our stays at the Redmond KOA is always great. It is usually to rest from a longer trip to see our adult daughters and grandchildren or a medical appointment in Bend. This stay was to just be one night but we asked to extend for one more night. The staff was super in how the provided for that. this park is a blessing to us . It is clean , friendly and our first choice.

4.5 Stars (round up to 5)! My family of 4 had a great experience at this KOA. We stayed in the teepee, originally planned for 3 nights, but it was either super cold from the openness or super hot from the wood stove. Customer service was excellent - after one night I talked to the manager and was able to switch to an available cabin without any fuss. The main reason why we stayed there was for the teepee experience and the play area (it was mid replacement and not usable). The teepee would be worth it if the lows stayed above 55F. Note: the teepee doesn't not come with power - we came prepared with usb power packs. Pros: clean showers/bathrooms Kitchen sink in the main building to wash dishes Accommodating management Location close to Bend & Smith Rock Teepee was a neat experience Cons: play area under construction (it will be great) Lots of sites packed into a small area Parts of the area/facilities are looking tired Overall, I'd stay there again without hesitation, but the cabin next time.

This KOA Campground was perfectly located with many natural resources to explore. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store was great; restrooms and showers very clean; along with the grounds. Beautiful open views surround you. Great levee along the canal for walking your dog. Full hookups, pull through sites and beautiful grassy tent sites. Overall great place to stay.
