it was cold and had high winds when we stayed - 1 nite on trip home. seemed like parts still closed for winter - didn't matter - everything we needed worked well and was in good condition. Check in clerk was very helpful and friendly

Had a good stay, all utilities worked fine down to 10 degrees. Wifi was outstanding. Easy in and out. Park staff very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area. I'd like to return when it's a little bit warmer next time.

This is a no-frills park, but we stay here every time we pass through. It is reasonably priced, has easy access, friendly staff and full hook-ups. There is a small laundry, dog-waking rea and playground for kids.

We rolled in for just one night and everything was seamless: check-in, level site, easy hook-ups, sparkling clean restrooms and very quiet.

The campground is nicely laid out. The sites are big enough to feel comfortable. Nice host and good showers and bathroom.

We arrived about half hour past office closing time and while we found our paperwork in the night drop/after hours the campground host still came out to greet us and make sure we knew where to go in the dark.

Nice size pull thrus. Campground was clean. Restrooms were clean, but seemed alittle dated. Had good hot water. Enjoyed our stay.

A big part of a great KOA stay comes down to attitude and friendliness of the host. Raton KOA was great in those regards! Also, the Wi-Fi worked well, the dumpsters were nearly empty, and facilities seemed clean and well maintained. The facility appearance is not great, and the grounds could use some fresh gravel (the weather was dry, but if wet the ground looks like it would be a muddy mess).

We were pulling our trailer home to Denver from Valley of Fires, a snow/wind/single digit storm was rapidly upon us. Needed a place to stay! Wait out the storm! They were very friendly. All facilities were in working order. Great dog walk, Wonderful electricity! Warm bathrooms. Peaceful, was so grateful to have a place to stay for two nights while waiting to-get back on the road. Thank you KOA.

Just an overnight. Most EXPENSIVE overnight we’ve had lately. I will likely explore another place to stay. KOA is OK when you plan to stay for amenities or location. KOA is generally too expensive for what you need and get.

Management are very friendly and helpful. It was a very cold night and they took the time to come to our site to tell us to be sure to take our water hose in. We had planned on boondocking that night after a long day of driving to get back on schedule after some bad weather but finding the KOA was a huge relief.

We spent one night at Raton KOA. It was cold but we really enjoyed our one night. Gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and site was perfect. But the best part of this campground was the dog walking area! There was a dog run area but the walk was grassy and went all around the perimeter of the campground! Many places we stay don’t recognize that dogs need good walking areas!

I always recommend the Raton KOA. It's quiet and clean. It's a nice stop at a crossroads. The owners and staff are the best. Raton is a small town before the pass that needs to be explored more. Maybe next time. Thanks for the hospitality.

Great place for in town camp site. Rv sites and tent sites. Kids playground and dog playground. Clean with bathrooms and dish wwshing sink.Owner Grant helpful and knowledgeable of the area. Reasonable priced. Will be back. Thanks

Twice, to and from our destination, we needed to change our reservation due to bad weather, and they were able to accommodate us. Staff is friendly and helpful. Shower area is OK.

This is so conveniently located, close to restaurants, shopping and gas stations. The folks at the front desk are so friendly and accommodating, and the WiFi actually works well. This is my go-to stop when I'm heading back to Colorado after my winter trip.
