I stayed in Jan 24 and it was very cold and had snowed. Facilities were open and check in was easy and host did best to help me untangle my concurrent bookings. (Freeway was closed and couldn’t make my original destination)

We had a wonderful time, the owners are very friendly and helpful. The campground is clean and surrounded by a nice scenery. We would love to come back.

Management and staff are very friendly and helpful. Only problem this time was the women's bathroom being unavailable to the park visitors at the far end of the campground. It is a very nice facility in the area.

It was an extremely cold and windy weather and it was just good to get off the road early. KOA always feels like home after a big day of travelling. Kind of like comfort food.

Its very convenient and the lots are nice and big with good modern utility connections. The challenge is the dry dusty gravel conditions.

Check in process was smooth, camp managers were very friendly and efficient. Camp was clean a well organized. Would stay here again.

Just over night traveling from Nebraska to Arizona. Nice place to stay.

Had a nice night in Raton, even with wind. New managers at the camp are working to improve it and they are nice and helpful. Sites were wide and long. We would come back there when traveling through New Mexico on 25.

This is a relatively small campground but neat and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The dog area is fenced and there is plenty of space for walking the perimeter of the park for a little extra exercise for dogs and their people.

We didn't know how fr we could travel so we couldn't make reservations. We walked in and they found us a spot. Everything work well, the spaces were clean, and we were very pleased.

Staff gave instructions. Other staff person there did not greed, nor acknowledge me. A few suggestions: regrade and/or add gravel to driveways and sites to improve travel thru campground, setting up & leveling. Navigating around the campground from our site to the dump station was awkward. We’ve stayed at several KOA‘s across the country and in Canada. This place needs a facelift.

1 night stay heading north going home. Location was easy to find to get into and out of. water pressure was great. Good clean KOA!

No issues! The bathroom was clean and pleasant. Location was relatively quiet. Very easy to set up the camper. Nice to have a place to walk the dog.

Very difficult to hook up water hose. Poor store supplies. Did not seem up to quality of other KOAs..Very disappointed in stay.

Excellent park and well-designed to negotiate access to spaces. No tall trees to hamper satellite reception. Best of all was GRANT! He was our hero and gladly helped us replace a fuse we were unable to access. This saved our vacation and we were able to bring our slide out back in so we could continue our trip. Grant would not accept money for his trouble. He restored our faith in KOAs.

I made a reservation with Grant at the Raton KOA for a 30 day stay. After arriving at the campground after only three days,, my company told me that I would be going to another state to finish up a FAA project. I told Grant about my problem and he understood. He didn't complain, and refunded me my complete monthly charge, minus the three days that I stayed with them. What an outstanding place

We had a pleasant restful overnight! The showers were fine and site big for our big rig and tow. We’ve stayed here many times.

We had to change our reservations several times due to weather issues. Grant and company were always willing to help and accommodate. Excellent place to get off the road and relax after a day of driving.

It is not well dogs for one thing is the dog need grass as that is where they feel comfortable at best. Second is this site needs dust control as it is very dusty and everything is dusty in within 15 minutes Bonus is there wifi service is great!

Level sites. Good working order. Fairly easy access . Staff very personable and helpful. Grant, the owner i believe, was especially helpful and pleasant. Would stay here again.

Decent place to stay. Bathrooms were dated but clean. Laundry was okay. Close to Capulin Volcano National Monument, which is awesome.

This is the way a KOA is supposed to be convenient, pleasant, reasonable price, office available if problems, and just a fun place. Plus, the owner is a really nice, helpful guy!

I arrived at 1:00 pm only to find out the office was closed from 11 to 2pm. Office smelled of pot. The site was clean. Nice dog areas. Bathrooms could use an upgrade. Toilet didn’t flush completely. Taking a shower in the morning was a shockingly cold experience. Clean, though. Nice gentleman at the fro nt desk.

Although it was short, one-night, the facilities were in very good shape, staff were friendly and everything was in working order.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
