Just an overnight. Most EXPENSIVE overnight we’ve had lately. I will likely explore another place to stay. KOA is OK when you plan to stay for amenities or location. KOA is generally too expensive for what you need and get.

Management are very friendly and helpful. It was a very cold night and they took the time to come to our site to tell us to be sure to take our water hose in. We had planned on boondocking that night after a long day of driving to get back on schedule after some bad weather but finding the KOA was a huge relief.

We spent one night at Raton KOA. It was cold but we really enjoyed our one night. Gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and site was perfect. But the best part of this campground was the dog walking area! There was a dog run area but the walk was grassy and went all around the perimeter of the campground! Many places we stay don’t recognize that dogs need good walking areas!

I always recommend the Raton KOA. It's quiet and clean. It's a nice stop at a crossroads. The owners and staff are the best. Raton is a small town before the pass that needs to be explored more. Maybe next time. Thanks for the hospitality.

This was another one-night stopover on our way elsewhere, but Raton is a convenient stop from our home near Denver. This park is always clean and the staff friendly. It's January, so the night was sub-zero and there was snow throughout the park. We only used electric for the one night, even though they put us in a full hookup site. The WiFi was fine.

Heading south for warmer winter temps from Denver, the Raton KOA is always our first stop. This time we followed a heavy snowfall and below freezing temps but found sites had been cleared, full hook ups available and laundry& restrooms open & clean. Friendly staff too.

Angel was very pleasant, and helpful throughout our stay with the weather challenges we faced.

It was a snowy campground when we arrived but a very welcome spot to stay before we headed over the pass. Did not use facilities and hard to see what it looked like without snow, but seemed to be a good safe spot to stop.

As al ways a good night. Nice clean dog park, and dog park. We were happy with a level clean site. The next sight when they left saturday made the area around the water got wet ss they were hitching . Saturday renter sunday decides to try to unfreeze his tanks by running hot water thru his tanks which made are side very wet. Not the best plan as far as we were concern.

Overnight stay and we were still winterized so we dry camped. Nice level sites and perfect for our needs, passing through. It’s a perfect one day drive from our home on our way south.

Such a nice park! The whole park reflects studied attention from the managers/owners. I was impressed. Everything was clean and attended to and the staff was super friendly and helpful.

Wendell and his wife were amazing. I mistakenly reserved a 50 amp pull through instead of a 30 amp. Wendell loaned me an adapter so we could have power. All the 30 amp locations were all booked. He also was very helpful with filling up my propane tank. His wife was also amazing with giving us directions to the park. My GPS took my wife and I way out of the way!

Given the cold weather, I was grateful to be able to be there and have a spot. Thanks.

I enjoyed my stay but the campground needs some TLC. It is immaculate however and the workcamper is always cleaning. The only negative is that I needed propane and the younger attendant said my Airstream 30# tank leaked and he declined filling it. I took the tank to a gas company in Trinidad and they filled and checked it with no problems found. This was stressful with temps near zero.

Only one night. Very friendly staff. Level pull-thru with plenty of space for opposing slides. Very clean & warm restrooms/showers on a cold day. Would stay again.

An older campground whose owners are trying to upgrade, but whose amenities are adequate. We’ve stayed there before and will again.

An aging, but comfortable KOA whose owners are trying to renovate. However, the amenities, WiFi and cable TV, are active and reliable. Have stayed here many times in the past and will again.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
