We stayed on our way from the Denver area to ABQ and this time on our way home. Both times we brought rain and since the Raton area is in a horrible drought we should get the stay for free! Even though we didn’t and the pull-through sites on the north side are not level it was a good place to stay. Best WiFi we have ever had in any commercial campground. Easy access and clean.

While the people were very nice, the fact that our site was flooded because of lack of drainage management. This could be fixed with grading and a little gravel. Also, we could not find any dog waste bags dispensers throughout the dog walk.

The water pressure was almost non exsistemt the usage of the power from the site next to you is very confusing also my wife had to hold the post that the power box was mounted on. This a electrical hazard and could serious injury or even death if it falls over on some one while they are hooking up there power coard. On the good side it is a easy park to find.

Arrived 12:30. Sign on office door “Closed 11:00 am to 2:00 pm”. Friendly staff when they’re working. Need Wi-Fi upgrade.

ALWAYS Friendly, bathrooms are impeccably clean, quite, nice restaurants to chose from!!! We stay here each year traveling to our Summer & Traveling back home!! We have stayed for years here and will continue to do so!! Thank You Journey!!

This campground could use some updating and TLC. Bathrooms were clean but very outdated. Worked for an overnight stay on our way to Colorado.

Nice campground for an overnight. Friendly check in. Basic amenities and not much more then a gravel parking lot with hookups. Nice K9 park.

We stay here quite a lot as we have family in Raton. It's always nice and quite. It's a big place with lots of room to walk your dogs or let them play off leash in the fenced in area.

Just a couple of days, but staff was wonderful—very responsive to all of our requests and offered suggestions for places to see and places to eat.

Camp owner/manager Grant was very accommodating and kind. Merilyn at check in w a s very helpful in letting me reserve my spot for a second night. The sites are narrow but the campground is clean and well maintained. Appreciated the good sized dog park.

We would definitely stay again. The CG hosts are friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the dusty gravel everywhere and no concrete patios but that’s just the high desert West. We stayed 6 nights and there’s much to explore in the area.

This was my first stay at a KOA after decades of camping. I was underwhelmed. The facility looked tired, I had expected so very much more from KOA. I sincerely hope this is not indicative of all KOA facilities. The 'neighbor' had an unattended dog that barked incessantly.

The ten is for the couple that worked at the KOA. We broke down and they jumped in and asked if there was anything they could do to help us. They made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The park was wonderful easy in easy out.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
