I make it a point to stop here every time I’m in the area. Love the ease of the Kamper Kabins since we travel with a dog. The campground has everything you need for a simple overnight stay!! See you next time!!

We came in late, but our reservation was ready and waiting for us. As always, the bathrooms were sparkling clean and easily accessible for us. We stayed in our vehicle instead of pitching a tent. We had to leave early -- wish we could've at least said hello. This is our favorite KOA. Thank you for a quiet, peaceful, quick and safe visit!

Very clean C/G; sites are close to each other; well organized and staff is very attentive to details. Did not use bathrooms or showers, however.

This place is quiet and inexpensive, so if you need a quick stopover this place is perfect. But there aren't many frills. I don't know if a pool is a frill but this place dosen't have one. Plus not much to do in the surrounding area either. They're bathrooms are clean though.

Very friendly hosts, Wendell provided local information that only added to our stay as we viewed the Capulin Volcano and our drive through the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway to get to Taos, NM. THANKS!

i have to say that for a campground in a small town such as yours are the best. You have cable which is not available in parks a lot larger than yours and in cities of a half million population.Kudos to you and your park.

Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Site was wide and level and everything worked. What more do you need in a KOA Journey.

We like staying at Raton KOA, it's quiet and clean.

Our stay was ok for a over night stop. We would not recommend a long stay in this camp ground because every site is very close to each other and little space to be outside.

A warm welcome and a great place to stay.

The campground is sparse (very few trees, and lots of flat dirt) but the staff was very nice and for a quick overnight, the price was right.

Check in was friendly and a breeze. It's a very small park with fewer amenities, but a clean safe place to spend a night on our way through town.

Worked for an over nighter. Office was locked although the sign read open. Person inside was on phone, so I walked away. He came to door, still on the phone and asked what I needed...wasn't what he asked, it was his manner. If you want to talk to me, then get off the phone or at least put it down, If not, then don't answer the door. Rude

I have stayed here probably 25 times and plan to stay here again anytime I’m in the area. Never had a problem and enjoy staying in a place with no road noise. Always like the cable tv. Thanks

Very small somewhat uninviting place. We arrived just at sunset. The staff was very nice. The water hook up was janky at best. The shower area was not well lit and had a bit of a horror movie vibe.

When we arrived, the power source wasn’t fully functional-due to previous camper using wrong amp plug in, but we were informed immediately about it. The gentleman told us it would be ready in minutes. He was true to his word, and we were ready to be plugged up to power by the time we had finished set up of our travel trailer. Enjoyed our stay!!

Easy access, clean park and facilities. Quiet place for overnight stay on our trip.

Excellent staff. Clean and level sites; easy pull through and exit.

The host's went out of their way to find a spot for my 57 feet - 39' Class A and a 19' boat, for the night. They even loaned me an extension that went from 50 amp to 35 apm so that I could have power. I was very happy with the stay and the next trip, I will stay again, but I will make reservations to be sure that there is a place for me to park.

We had a good & pleasant stay at Raton KOA Journey. The staff were very nice & helpful, sites were large & well maintained. Laundry room & machines were clean & functioning well. We did not utilize the showers, however we did check them out & they were also clean & well maintained. Not a lot to do in Raton… but it is close enough to drive over Raton Pass to Trinidad CO.

A quiet spot near the northeast NM/CO border. Stayed here end of Mar 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. Dirt pad. Site #15 General: 1) Peaceful place. 2) Close to Taos and a few other interesting spots. 3) Some sites have shared connection areas Campground WiFi: Worked pretty well. Cell/hotspot using booster: AT&T (3 of 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Cell/hotspot using booster: Verizon (3 of 4 bars, sometimes 4 bars—4G). Able to work on VPN, Zoom meetings, and stream. Details: Check-in: Normal KOA checkin at office. Simple and easy. Sites: Dirt/ gravel pad. Fairly spacious sites. Site 19: Was not our site but we noticed that the patio side connects directly to laundry and restrooms, so folks seem to forget their manners and cut through that site's patio spot. Campground Road: Dirt road but not bumpy. Grounds: Clean. Bathrooms/Showers: Very clean and well-maintained. Laundry: Worked well. 4 washers. 4 dryers. Washers were a touch smaller than normal, if that is of a concern to you. Location: Gas 3 min from entrance. Restaurants are about 5 min away. Restaurants—Alfonso's: I had never tried gas station tacos/burritos until this location and they were pretty darn good. Similar experience to having a McDonalds/Taco Bell/etc at a gas stop. Near highway: Yes. Close but cannot hear the interstate. The KOA is directly off of a main road so there is a touch noise during the day. Near train: Not that I recall.

Easily the best KOA I've ever been to. We stayed in the little log cabins and they were amazing. Memory foam mattresses, a good quality heater that actually warms the cabin properly, and the staff made sure to have it running for us before we got there. You will not go wrong renting a cabin here, worth every penny.
