This is a very clean well kept facility with a friendly staff. The only problem I had is the same problem I have everywhere I stop and that is the sewer ports are uphill a bit from the trailer parking area. That wouldn’t be a problem for traditional 5th wheel campers but mine is a low slung toyhauler for my Jeep so the sewer port on my trailer is only about 10” above ground level.

Staff extremely helpful and professional, campgrounds pretty, clean and organized with plenty of room in each individual site. GREAT campground and a definite stop on our frequent trips to Montana

This is a great KOA! Great people running it, very clean grounds and handy to a lot of places of interest such as Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Have plans to come back and stay a week or more to continue visiting the sites around the Black Hills.

We in town to mainly visit family We did not take advantage of all the things to do at the KOA. We did walk through the campground and were impressed by the pool area and the pad areas in each section. We did enjoy the pancakes !!

We stayed 3 nights at the Rapid City KOA and would stay there again. The sights are not real big but certainly adequate. The check in was very easy, all amenities were very clean, and we loved the roof over our picnic table We had a very nice time at this campground.

This was our second time back in a week and we are not sorry we chose this location. We did all the sight seeing around and coming back to our home on wheels in a safe and convenient spot made it that much easier.

We enjoyed the stay at Black Hills KOA convenient location to everything we wanted to see. Cannot say this is the friendliest KOA park we have been in. Also did not like everyone walking through our site to get to the shower bath house! Finally moved the table and chair to prevent people from walking by our front door!

Only satyed one night, but it was great! The staff was wonderful, and we liked our RV site. We will definitely stay at this KOA again when we are in the area.

Loud road noise from the main road has increased a lot making it difficult to sleep. This would be an OK stop for just one night.

Great campground manager, she knows her stuff. Beautiful new pool, facilities clean and neat. Herb garden a nice touch. Have stayed here many nights over the last nine years, and look forward to staying again.

The site we were assigned had a large dirt area right where we stepped out of our RV so we put a mat down. The park staff told us curtly that we couldn’t put a mat down. We had rain and it turned into a mud bowl making it very muddy and difficult to get in and out of our RV. Sad that we couldn’t put a small mat down so we weren’t wading through the mud. No exaggeration in this note.

It’s very clean, has wonderful hosts, a great store, lots of activities and a nice quiet location. The breakfast was not amazing but right for the price.

Charged extra for my service dog. The grass at campswas tall had to ask to get it mowed. The girl at check in was very rude. Will never stay there again.

Great facility. Wish the weather would have been better so we could have enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Staff were great. Close to all the attractions. About a 30 min beautiful drive to Mount Rushmore. We would highly recommend this campground.

Nicest KOA we have stayed at yet. The staff were all friendly, we felt like our stuff was safe, and the pool, hot tub, bathrooms, showers, laundry were all kept up well.

We have stayed here multiple times and look forward to another stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility is clean. Overall it is a very relaxing place to spend time.

I really liked our stay here. The KOA is conveniently located to Rapid City downtown, Mount Rushmore, etc. Our site was long with concrete pad, tables/chairs, and grass! Probably one of the best sites we have had as we didn't have neighbors on one side which meant more grass! Very conveniently located. Friendly staff. Laundry on site is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.

Great place, friendly staff, clean bath and laundry. Great sites for all. Good level spots. Close to all the Black Hills National Forest has to offer. Central to Badlands, Spearfish Canyon and Devils Tower. Cabins, cottages, tent sites, and a nice new pool area. 2 laundry facilities and 3 shower houses. Always clean.
