When we arrived it had been raining, understandably you can’t control weather, but our site had a low spot right where steps on camper came out. No grass just dirt , ya , mud , if you’re not going to keep the grass up put rock down to avoid this. Not a happy camper.

Campground was great. Loved the pool and hot tub. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed one night bathrooms were very dirty especially shower area. No hot water Luke warm at best. Also joint showers men and women using it was very uncomfortable.

Very nice campground. Staff was very cordial. Very quiet at night. We had a problem after hours with the next camper running a generator. We called the after hours #. Staff responded in 5 minutes and resolved the problem. Convenient to Mt Rushmore, Wind Cave and downtown Rapid City.

The grounds are nice, as well as the staff. Unfortunately, our site had zero shade. Request a spot with some shade if you are staying here when it’s warm.

Campground is nice but really open, not a ton of trees which would be fine if it wasn’t so windy so you could have your awning out for shade. The campground amenities are nice and clean. We stayed four nights, and enjoyed our time! We had a patio site and it was worth the extra money.

Exit options did not appear to be clearly marked. It was too hot in shower house/restroom by pool.

We were in the process relocating from Oregon to South Dakota. KOA manager and staff were more than helpful in assisting us with our unique (to us) needs. While the campground itself is wonderful with a lot of extra amenities/activities. The staff was not pleasant. They were very rude and did not care about issues you brought to them. They have a moth infestation in their cabins and knowingly are selling them to people. The cabin was not sleep of all due to all the moths, crawling on the walls and in the beds. Others had issues. Staff didn’t care.

We loved how the street lots were named but what was frustrating was the bathrooms. We constantly had to hunt down the overworked lady cleaning everything to ask for toilet paper and paper towels for the men’s bathroom. The trash can in the ladies bathroom was always overflown. I feel like they need to be checked on more frequently.

Nice park overall & has some unique activities like wine tasting & pancake breakfast. Rained almost the entire time we were there so was not able to take advantage of all the available things. Also good showers!

Heavy rains, shut down the game room due leaking roof. Would have been a next thing to-do during the rain. Power was off to a switched off braker. This is standard operating procedures and I will know this next time but simply fyi at check-in would have saved me soooo much trouble

Appears to be a very nice KOA, site was very nice and not over tight as some KOA’s we only over nighted on our way to Yellowstone. Caught 1880 train ride very nice and Mt. Rushmore.

Great 9 days. Staff friendly and helpful. Very clean bathroom. All staff work does not go unnoticed. Recommend this KOA to anyone who would like to stay close to visit main attractions . Great location.

We have stayed in a lot of campgrounds and this is one of the best if not the best. All amenities were well maintained, plenty of activities, spacious lots and friendly staff. Breakfast was inexpensive and yummy. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay overall. Staff was friendly, cabin had heat and AC, cabins were private and campground was quiet. Cute playground and large dog area and pool. No soap in the bathroom, but the bathroom was clean. Individual shower stalls were appreciated.

I really liked our stay here. The KOA is conveniently located to Rapid City downtown, Mount Rushmore, etc. Our site was long with concrete pad, tables/chairs, and grass! Probably one of the best sites we have had as we didn't have neighbors on one side which meant more grass! Very conveniently located. Friendly staff. Laundry on site is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.
