We really enjoyed our stay at the Rapid City KOA. The pancakes every morning were great!! The Kampground is well maintained and the staff are great!!

We were there for 2 nights and loved it. The staff was great, our site was perfect. We also loved the pool! Very nice showers/restrooms/laundry facilities.

Staff was friendly, sites are okay (patios are hot,no shade), men's bathroom seemed to be cleaned/checked/restocked every two days, game room had no A/C and others were complaining about it for their kids, some with an extra vehicle (even tho it fit nicely in the site) have to move it to the farthest away point (1000 ft + walk) from their site while some were allowed extra vehicles. Strange rule!!

Great amenities and view of the area. Too early to visit the pool, arrived in early May, but it looked enticing. Will stay here n the future.

Everything was great, nice amenities and super easy to use all the recreation. Only downside was there were so many sites back to back and the dumpster was always overflowing everyday

Site was ok nothing spectacular. The main upper pad sites around the pool area really needs to regraded also the roads lots of gravel should be added. Most were flooded after a rain. Some people could not even step out of there RV’s Very muddy and lots of standing water

Everything at the campground was great, the only issues we had was the loud car noise from races for hours on Friday night and how fast people drive especially coming in the main entrance and kids are in that area a lot.

Place was ok. We paid for the premium and we didn’t have any shade or any kind of trees around. Is not bad for one night stay. Every single KOA we have stay has military discount except for this one.

The campground is nice. The staff is pleasant. My only complaint is the lack of hot water in the showers. They could definitely turn the temperature up.

We were just there for the night. We arrived very late. The grounds are rustic. We didn't use the facilities because we left early the next day. Glad we reserved a spot. This one is on the way to the Mount Rushmore.

Poor check in service. I arrived at 12:50pm and made to stand and wait ten minutes to check in when no one else in line. Park half empty. You can keep your snotty rules. It’s not like we arrived 2 hours early. Grass completely dead at our site, dried mud only. No shade. You need new patio tables. This place is sad compared to all the other KOA’s we stay in coast to coast. Won’t be back !

Unfortunately, we were just there for an overnight, the grounds are clean and the shower and bathroom were very clean, fantastic staff. I hope to return soon, thank you.

Campground is very spacious, extremely well maintained, and quite welcoming! Lots of great amenities for the kids and families. Best KOA we have ever camped at!

Very nice campsite and great amenities. Morning breakfast was great, bathrooms clean, pool and picnic area was excellent. Games & playground & activities was wonderful. Prices on the store items seemed to be a bit excessive compared to what you would pay at nearby stores, if prices were lower they would sell more items.

This was the first KOA to ever charge me $15 for a 25 min early check-in, and $2 per dog.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The camper spot we had was clean and easy to use but the grassy area was a bit small.

Good location to activities in the Black Hills. Very nice pool and hot tub. Our space was very convenient to laundry and showers. With our 3 teenage grandchildren traveling with us that was very convenient.

Very relaxing. As being a senior citizen, just camping as a couple, it did my heart good to see so much activities that were available to families. The nightly activities (train rides, watermelon & ice cream socials, and were well attended. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Very friendly staff answered any & all questions we had. Very nice and clean restrooms. Enjoyed our time there.

Tight spot for 36 foot 5th wheel with 3 slides. Tree right up against bedroom slide. might be a good site for a patio as it gets really muddy right outside the front door and sitting area when it rains.

Such a nice KOA! People were super friendly and bathrooms/laundry were very clean (with private showers). If we’re ever back in this area we will definitely stay here again!

This was a great KOA to see lots of sights. We chose to drive to Mount Rushmore from here it was only about 30 minutes and we were not in as busy of an area as the KOA closer to Mount Rushmore. They had some adorable souvenirs in the shop and of course wonderful hosts and staff to help get you settled and find what you need.

It was a nice clean campsite, but it was very load at night (road noise and the local speedway) and there was not enough room to park our tow vehicle.

Problems communicating to the staff that my teardrop trailer and my truck would not fit in to the back in site. they recommended that I park across the road from my site. When I explained that I had to have power to my refridge in the truck to keep my insulin cold he stated do the best you can. Then he had a snarkey comment better left alone. I won't be back to that KOA!

Great stay overall. Staff was friendly, cabin had heat and AC, cabins were private and campground was quiet. Cute playground and large dog area and pool. No soap in the bathroom, but the bathroom was clean. Individual shower stalls were appreciated.

I really liked our stay here. The KOA is conveniently located to Rapid City downtown, Mount Rushmore, etc. Our site was long with concrete pad, tables/chairs, and grass! Probably one of the best sites we have had as we didn't have neighbors on one side which meant more grass! Very conveniently located. Friendly staff. Laundry on site is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.
