Very nice campsite and great amenities. Morning breakfast was great, bathrooms clean, pool and picnic area was excellent. Games & playground & activities was wonderful. Prices on the store items seemed to be a bit excessive compared to what you would pay at nearby stores, if prices were lower they would sell more items.

Well organized huge campground with good amenities. Nice pool! Compared to other KOA campgrounds it didn’t feel as welcoming and staff was very businesslike. It just didn’t feel as warm and quite as “family” as in the campgrounds I have been before. And for me this is the most important reason for camping!

This was the first KOA to ever charge me $15 for a 25 min early check-in, and $2 per dog.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. The camper spot we had was clean and easy to use but the grassy area was a bit small.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Rapid City KOA. It was a little crowded in the tent area, but we had great neighbors. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind and the location is superb. Thanks for a great stay!

The sites are too close together. Zero room for privacy.

Good location to activities in the Black Hills. Very nice pool and hot tub. Our space was very convenient to laundry and showers. With our 3 teenage grandchildren traveling with us that was very convenient.

Very relaxing. As being a senior citizen, just camping as a couple, it did my heart good to see so much activities that were available to families. The nightly activities (train rides, watermelon & ice cream socials, and were well attended. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Very friendly staff answered any & all questions we had. Very nice and clean restrooms. Enjoyed our time there.

Tight spot for 36 foot 5th wheel with 3 slides. Tree right up against bedroom slide. might be a good site for a patio as it gets really muddy right outside the front door and sitting area when it rains.

Such a nice KOA! People were super friendly and bathrooms/laundry were very clean (with private showers). If we’re ever back in this area we will definitely stay here again!

This was a great KOA to see lots of sights. We chose to drive to Mount Rushmore from here it was only about 30 minutes and we were not in as busy of an area as the KOA closer to Mount Rushmore. They had some adorable souvenirs in the shop and of course wonderful hosts and staff to help get you settled and find what you need.

It was a nice clean campsite, but it was very load at night (road noise and the local speedway) and there was not enough room to park our tow vehicle.

It was a nice clean KOA. We really enjoyed the breakfasts. And the pancake guy was a bright spot each morning. Only issue was we had to struggle with the cabin door lock every time.

Problems communicating to the staff that my teardrop trailer and my truck would not fit in to the back in site. they recommended that I park across the road from my site. When I explained that I had to have power to my refridge in the truck to keep my insulin cold he stated do the best you can. Then he had a snarkey comment better left alone. I won't be back to that KOA!

Nice campground - nice people working there / helpful. We were camped a distance from the shower house and my wife has trouble walking at times. Drove her to the shower house and found only 3 parking spots. All being used - checked back several hours later and same 3 vehicles were there. Area appears to be used for over flow parking? Not handicapped friendly.

The man who made the pancakes and served the watermelon was so great! Definitely the best person on the staff, he was so friendly and welcoming. Great pancakes and he even made a special mickey one for my daughter which she loved so much!! The deluxe cabin was nice and clean as well; we stayed back in 2020 and I'm sure we will be back again. Thanks!

Our site was really muddy, the rocks were inconsistent at the camp signs causing horrible slippery mud. The bathrooms were dirty, the showers didn’t work well. Only one paper towel dispenser and soap dispenser worked in the bathroom. Overall, not as good as other KOA Holidays we have been to.

I ask for a spot in shad late aftrrnoon, they ignored that. I know because there was an empty spot next to me with full shade. I arrived early was sent to over flow parking untill 1300 check in time. I went to check in about 10 mins before 1300 and was told it isnt one yet. I was put a long way from restrooms even though I told them I had just had a hip replacement. Yet dogs no leashes allowed.

The place has great amenities and is well kept. I would of rated a five, as this is a very good KOA, but cannot as I will never stay here again. For whatever reason, they were flying the SD state flag and the Canadian flay but were not flying the American Flag. It is 4th of July weekend for gods sake. I don't know what their reasoning was for it and don't care.

Cabin was cute and comfortable-we loved the porch swing. Layout of camp and facilities was great! Everything was clean, great playgrounds and pool for kids. Pancake breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. We loved it!

Never have I seen such management. Why, on the busiest time of year, would you allow not one but several small pop up campers to occupy the concrete pull thru sites? I was appalled that staying six nights we were moved from a nice pad after three days only to see us replaced by a 13 foot trailer. I spoke to six other Class A coach owners on site who were also stuck in dirt so tiny campers moved in

We had a great time at KOA. They have a lot of amenities, the pool was very well kept and clean. Bathrooms, showers, and laundry were very clean areas. They have a games room and lots to do around the campsite.

We found this KOA centrally located to visiting the many sites that are within 70 miles of Rapid City. Staff was helpful when we had to have a medication shipped FedEx. Great dog walking options & laundry facilities. Clean individual showers were great.

Breakfast was good. The whole park was well maintained, including clean bathrooms and showers. Pleasant office staff. Our only negative wood be our site filled up with water during heavy rain...had to wade to our RV door.

Great stay overall. Staff was friendly, cabin had heat and AC, cabins were private and campground was quiet. Cute playground and large dog area and pool. No soap in the bathroom, but the bathroom was clean. Individual shower stalls were appreciated.

I really liked our stay here. The KOA is conveniently located to Rapid City downtown, Mount Rushmore, etc. Our site was long with concrete pad, tables/chairs, and grass! Probably one of the best sites we have had as we didn't have neighbors on one side which meant more grass! Very conveniently located. Friendly staff. Laundry on site is convenient. I will definitely stay here again.
