Beautiful park, well maintained with a friendly crew. I appreciated the upgrade to a concrete patio, especially when it poured rain. The facilities are all nice and clean. Great all around.

Awesome stay! Exceptional staff. Very courteous and helpful. We were there for 3 months and loved every minute of it. The KOA was always clean. I recommend the Port Lavaca KOA to all travelers. Looking forward to my next visit!

We were very pleased with our stay. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. The grounds and facilities were very clean. Loved the waterfront with walking space and chairs and swings to rest and view the pelicans on the water. The pizza and wings were good and a handy meal.

This is our third time visiting Port Lavaca and we really enjoy it. Enjoy all the amenities and the staff every visit. Don’t change any of the firework plans for next year, it was a perfect plan to bring in the new year. See you guys soon!

Really love this campground. This was our first New Year's there our other visits were different times of year. Loved the refreshments, the music and the fireworks. Our campsite was perfect and enjoyed being able to have a campfire. Do wish that county road was a little wider getting to the campground.

What a beautiful and unexpected surprise this KOA is...QUIET, beautiful views and very friendly staff. Great amenities too! Am planning on returning for longer next winter.

Our stay included the wonderful winter weather last week, but the stay was still great. The staff, the cabins and activities were great. I would definitely recommend this KOA and will definitely be back.

Once cabin warmed up it was great. Full stove to cook Christmas dinner & room for everyone. Great Holiday & we will meet up there again.

This has been the ONLY KOA that has not refunded my payments for leaving early. We decided to leave one day early and they would not give us a refund. They are actually on the bay but it is about 30 minutes drive to town or to do anything away from the campground. Also they were not the friendliest bunch. Maybe this is why they were only about a 1/4 full.

I have a hard time imagining a nicer KOA than this one. Perhaps someone who likes a more urban environment might like something else. As for me, next time I think I’ll stay a week instead of a month.

This is a wonderful park. The grounds are kept clean and trimmed. The employees are always around to help you. I love that my trash is picked up curbside every morning. If you enjoy fishing this is the place for you. They have a pier, cleaning station, and rod holders along the bank.

Very cool spot. Very clean and nice shower rooms. Laundry area was nice. Distance apart nicely to avoid annoying a neighbor. Lots to do! Will stay again!

The nice lady at the check in counter upgraded us to a waterfront slip that was still close to the showers. It was beautiful and only a few other campers on a Monday night. Fish weren't biting, but a very nice place to enjoy the scenery.

The drainage at the facilities needs some work because our firepit had standing water in it. Our gravel driveway also had standing water. We also watched the KOA staff drive through the grass in the site next to ours to cut across the park causing muddy tire tracks in the grass. I was looking forward to playing pickle ball, but 1 court didn't have a net and the other court had standing water in it

We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and really enjoyed our stay. We felt the staff was very friendly and welcoming to include having awesome events. We ate Thanksgiving dinner in the clubhouse which was very appreciative and put on by the staff as well as other events. Thank you to the staff here and we appreciate what you do. We will be back and highly recommend this location.

This was our second time staying at Port Lavaca/Matagorda Bay KOA and really enjoyed our time there. The staff our hard workers to ensure the the grounds and facilities are kept clean and in good condition. They have been very friendly and helpful with any questions or needs we may have had. We stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday and was very impressed with the daily activities they provided.

Great place on the bay. The kids played all day. Fished too. #2 cabin was just right for watching the kids and the accommodations were clean and very nice.

Great people here, running a great KOA. Lots of amenities, nice sites, and quiet! Funny, Google thinks this is a hotel, hence the zero stars for “Rooms”. Pickleball courts are a nice touch - although they needed a bit of cleaning.

Decent spot for a stop over we were only here for the night, but bathrooms are clean and fresh and laundry. Lots of things to do. The pizza and the wings were super easy and affordable. Definitely not top-notch gourmet cuisine but very good to not have to cook. We were in the very first site as you come in and they were a lot of ant nests so we had to watch the dog pretty carefully.

What a wonderfully quiet bayfront KoA. Property is well maintained and has a ton of amenities. We were there shouting a weekday so was very quiet and restful. Staff is helpful and very kind. Showers are clean and plenty of hot water. If we lived anywhere nearby we'd make this a repeat destination.
