We stayed here so we could do a couple of hikes at Picacho Peak State Park. It's about a 7-mile drive from this KOA. The staff was very nice and professional. We enjoyed our site at the back of the park with a view of a horse ranch, beware of the flies though.

Love the park, the people and the location between Phoenix and Tucson. Only negative is the noise level from the train and hwy traffic that runs right alongside the park.

This is one of the most pristine and manicured campgrounds that I have ever stayed at. Nothing is out of place and the space is very well organized. If you enjoy wide open spaces-off of the beaten path-then you will love Picacho. They have great restrooms, great showers and a clean laundry facility. If you like to read a long list of rules, then this is your place too! The people are friendly.

Great place. Enjoyed our two stays on trip to and from west coast. Easy to get into, and plenty of room for our motor home. Would highly recommend this KOA.

First off, the only reason I can't give this place five stars is that the entire place is gravel. For $69-$119 a night it should be paved. Staff here are super friendly and helpful. Ryan helped me check in, and there were two clean cut nice teenage boys who were in uniform and helping out with everything around the park. It was a wonderful experience to be around such a friendly atmosphere. The staff was attentive to our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The facilities were remarkably clean. And the activities were fun and all inclusive. The store was well stocked and reasonably priced. We will definitely make an effort to go this KOA again in the future.

The campground itself is immaculate, well set up with spacious sites and very friendly staff. The noise level, however, was amazing -- near a major highway and an active railway.

The coolest Desert Park we have ever camped. very old cactus "trees" with bark on the trunks, oranges, lemons, lots of giant shade trees. did I mention staff? been to a lot of KOA parks but never met staff as competent as these. family run operation is excellent. don't drive by, stop and rest for a great stay!

This was a great overnight stay for us. The staff was helpful, friendly and responsive. The campground was well kept and nice. I would recommend it to anyone.

This is a wonderful campground! Not a resort- style but a true campground feel. The way KOA camping should be. Very clean and well-kept grounds and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location outside the city and close to lots of places to see, so worth staying a few days.

Pride in the appearance of this KOA is evident. Everything was so clean and tidy. Plus, best.campground.showers. Ever!! After-hours check-in was very easy. There is some road noise from the nearby Interstate, but did not prevent a good night’s sleep. The plus side was the ease of getting back on the highway.

Easy in & out. Nice neighbors. KOA had a broken water main for a day & a half but we had half a tank of fresh do not a big issue.

Very organized! Had an escort in a golf cart take us to our spot. The spot was clean, well organized and roomy. The bathrooms were clean , with well sized showers also. Will definitely stay here again if in the. area.

Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Campground is kept clean and tidy. The campground is close to I-10 so you do pick up some road noise, especially at night. Otherwise a good KOA for 1-2 nights to explore the local area. The Casa Grande Ruins National Monument was worth the visit.

overnight pit stop enroute to Palm Springs. Lovely well kept grounds, bathroom and showers. Well laid out sites and beautiful mature plantings. Road noise from I10 but got a good nights sleep.

Good campground, nice employees, well kept and clean bathrooms. Only negative is the rules about checking in early. $10 per hour seems silly, especially when almost empty when I arrived. They did let me in 30 minutes early w/o charge. Otherwise all good.

I feel like they could have offered u a choice because there were better sites than the one we were put in. Others had decks and since it was our first time there we didn’t know. Otherwise it was fair.

Anyone is welcome to stay in a premium site, they just cost a premium! We have wooden decks, concrete patios and paw pens! When booking, when we ask if you'd like a premium site, just say yes! If you say no, we do not charge you the premium and we book you a standard site! Godspeed!

We like this KOA a lot and it is one of our favorites. The grounds are immaculate. We also noticed that the showers have been recently renovated and are very nice.

We enjoyed our stay and were very impressed by how the property was kept up and everything was very clean. Daily, we saw employees tending to each site to make sure it was perfect for the next guest. We will be back for sure! Thanks for the great stay!

Everything was great! The showers were clean and warm, the park was well maintained. Consider putting in more than one dumpster, as the one that was there was completely full.

Second dumpster added! You now have access to a dumpster on the north end in the RV storage area in addition to the original on the south end as you enter.

We stay at KOA’s almost every time we are not dry camping. Why? Never a bad experience. Always operated by genuine people. No matter what level of KOA facilities they are always well kept. Regarding our recent stay at the Picacho/Tucson NW…the management were outstanding and their pride showed in the care they take.

We always stop here in our Class A, towing a vehicle. I reserve on the KOA website. We avoid arriving around noon as owner and family close for lunch. When pulling in, it can get congested at entrance, if a few RV's are all arriving at same time. Walk in, give your name and they give you a site map and an escort to your reserved spot. 3 minutes tops. Nice people, good service. We've been staying here since before the new owners a few years ago. We're in good hands with these owners! Clean restrooms. SEVERAL Big showers. Laundry. Mini-market. Otherwise Elroy is just a few Mile's before this KOA.

Clean campground with fabulously friendly staff. Good WiFi and laundry facilities and perfect spot for an overnight or extended stay to visit the many nearby historic & natural attractions.
