Exit FL Turnpike South at Yeehaw Jct and take US 441 south.
Exit FL Turnpike North or I-95 N at PGA Blvd. Go west to 710, west to 70, west to US 441 and turn left. Continue south on 441 for 3 miles.
Okeechobee has recently been named as a new Gateway Community for the Florida Trail which is roughly a 1,400 mile trail from Big Cypress National Preserve to Pensacola Beach. Being a Gateway Community means we have accommodations, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping and recreational opportunities for those more than 365,000 hikers that hit the trail each year. Okeechobee KOA Resort participates in the Florida Trail Passport program and welcomes hikers with a 15% group cabin discount so they can rest, have a warm meal, shower, restock supplies and have their passport stamped.
