First KOA campground that I went to and the campsites were clean. Everything was very tidy. The owners were friendly. The fire pits were well maintained.

KOA good location off I80 but night road noise & trains lowered our rating. We will never return due to this plus no cable was offered.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I am sorry this is not the campground for you but that is ok. The train is a mile away but can be loud and as advertised and as our name states we are next the very busy I80 interstate. We also advertise no cable tv but our WIFI is streaming WIFI. Please know these things prior to staying.

Stayed one night and was very impressed. Host couldn’t be more friendly and whole camp was super clean and roomy. All KOA,s should be like this one.

It was just a stop overnight but the camp was clean, the staff very welcoming and friendly, laundry room available and used by us! The coolest thing we haven’t seen at any other KOA and ALL campgrounds should have them, was a paw-Pen site”. It’s a site that has a cement patio complete with a table, six chairs, fire ring, bbq grill and a private dog pen! Hats off to Ogallala KOA!

Very friendly and hard working folks running this camp. Every site is inspected when a camper leaves. Warm welcome. Grounds well kept. Laundry and bathrooms A ok. Sites plenty long and hook ups good. Roads laid out nicely and plenty wide. We will return next year.

Nicest KOA we've stayed in. Very clean, very nice sites and looks like professional management. Not campground's fault but our site was close enough to interstate for noise to be bothersome.

Only overnight. Personal were great. The grounds are very well maintained. Tried Margaritas restaurant, it was not good. No problems with any of the hookups. Overall, a very nice RV Park. Will stay again.

Very nice campground. Everything is very clean & opetational. Staff is very friendly and professional. Location is close to I-80 so there is some road noise.

We loved staying there, finding this KOA while we were in route as we weren’t sure how far we would travel that day. We were very happy that it was right off the highway, and that it was very close to gas and convenience stores. The park itself is super clean, our site was level. And the gal that checked us in was super nice! We would stay there again, anytime we are going through the area!

This KOA location had excellent, spacious sites that were easy to get into and out of for truly big rigs. The people were very pleasant. If you are traveling on I-80, this is definitely an RV park to consider.

Very nice park and people. Not much grass and few shade trees. Biggest downside is truck noise from I80. If noise bothers you, you will be bothered. In your rv it's not bad but outside it is bad. No let up at night. Until they do something to block the noise I can't give a 5 or recomend without reservations. And it is a shame because it is a nice park.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are an interstate park and we do everything possible to advertise this and make it known so that it is not a surprise when you choose to stay here. If interstate noise bothers you please do not choose to stay here but go to Tri Trails just 1/2 mile south of us.

The campground was immaculate, with some of the cleanest restrooms/ showers we have seen this year in our travels. The staff was very friendly, with a welcoming attitude, that is much appreciated after a long day on the interstate.

Perhaps the cleanest, well managed KOA we have stayed in. Perfectly clean, manicured grounds. Well appointed Deluxe Patio with clean, large grill. Convenient to I-80. Will return!!

The site is very clean and tiddy. When you arrive they escort you to the site and align your parking. They were out of propane at the gas grill but as soon as I mentioned it the fellow there got me situated. Id return again

The Campground was easy to find, not far off of 80 but far enough to not hear road noise. Laundry room was nice and clean. I did not check out the bathrooms. We made a last minute reservation over the phone and the woman I talked to was very nice. We came in after hours and the instructions we were given were clear and accurate. They had several fun things to do. We would stop here again.

The staff was courteous and helpful; no issues there at all. The park facility itself was not all that pleasant, very utilitarian. Not much in the way of trees or shade so it seemed a bit desolate.

Great overnight stop for us. Site was nice and level, so it didn't take much effort to setup - which is a huge plus when you are just stopping for overnight stay. Hosts were very communicative as well.

Best thing was the solid internet. Most KOAs have crappy internet and messages for use seem angry. Not at Ogalalla! Friendly staff said they have good internet, so thought I would give it a try. Didn’t stream, but did watch a few YouTube videos. Much appreciated as I was very low on hotspot data. More KOAs should follow their example. Great stay!

Very organized, clean, and well taken care of campground. Had everything we needed. Only drawback is the intense road noise from being so close to I-80, and we were in a site closest to the interstate... but that's not the fault of the staff or KOA. The office staff and site guide were fantastic. I needed to make a change from a back in site to a pull through and was accommodated very nicely.

Need more trees for shade. And for handicap people the rocks can be a problem there’s got to be something better because I’m sure I wasn’t the only handicap person to visit this KOA.

Very nice park in a great location. The patio site was very nice with the stamped concrete and the comfortable furniture. Cooked dinner on the gas grill that was provided. Thanks again!

Sure, there's a bit of road noise, but with a location so convenient, and the rest of the park so nice (well placed sites, solid facilities and amenities), you've got a fantastic overnight spot here!

I wouldn't recommend it because it's way too noisy. You really need to invest the money in a sound barrier between you and the Interstate

We stayed at this KOA on Apr 14 2024 it was a beautiful campground the people were super nice they had the cleanest bathrooms I've ever seen....everything around was neat and tidy, we would definitely recommend it.

Staying for 2 nights, nice clean RV sites, very helpful in getting us to our location, nice play area for the 7 year old, nice dog pen with artificial turf which was very clean. I would highly recommend this campground. (Yes, you hear the interstate, but if anyone complains about the traffic noise, research the different types of KOAs. Journey means close to freeways.)

Super clean, dog run, playground, very friendly and helpful staff. Newer section has no landscaping (trees or plants). Picnic bench at each site. Stayed here two nights and the noise from the interstate is almost unbearable, 24/7. Had to wear earplugs to sleep and can't have a normal conversation outside at all. If that doesn't bother you, great place to stay! Visited the petrified wood museum and art gallery which was great! Also drive out to the lake and was very scenic. “Mansion on the Hill” is only open Memorial Day to Labor Day so I missed out, being October.
