I just camp, didn’t use the many amenities. I come to visit an old shipmate I served with 56 years aqo. I’ve been here 4 or 5 times.

Nice camp ground. Attentive staff and helpful. Pet friendly and good places to air out dogs. Lots of road noise from nearby interstate.

The staff are so nice! What a welcome, once we got down off the street. (Husband had trouble finding then negotiating turn, and the entrance from the street is unwelcoming. We were using GPS and that didn't help. Campground gets ALL the highway noise. Sites are small and a little uneven, but we were ok for just one night. Thank you very much.

It was very nosey day and nite. Too close . To highway. They even give out ear plugs..sites were very small you were looking in neighbors windows.

Greeted by happy pleasant counter person. Fast easy check in. Garrett showed us to our site answered all our questions. Enjoyed our stay. Some sights were close but campground was quiet. Clean restrooms and showers. Would stay again if in area.

I was only there for one night as I was traveling through the area. I was exhausted when I rolled in and was greeted with a smile and a ‘happy you’re here’. Made me feel so welcome. I didn’t take advantage of any of the amenities but this place was a great looking KOA! Definitely recommend.

I'd definitely recommend a stay at this KOA campground. This was my first and I was admittedly apprehensive. Turned out to be a non issue and the stay was exactly what we needed. We were 600 miles into a 1200 mile trip home from Sturgis and the campground fit every need. The price was unbelievably low and reasonable. The host/manager exceeded expectations assisting with a tarp and weather info!

I was there, somewhat stranded for almost 2 weeks, due to a breakdown with my tow vehicle. For getting me a site, to multiple extensions due to the length of time the repairs ended up taking, to rides to the store for more supplies, and even offering rides back to my camper when I came down to reschedule again, Tanya and her staff could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Thank you so much

Enjoyed our overnight stay after wrapping up the 2023 RAGBRAI, and heading west from Davenport for home in California. Utilized the clean laundry facilities, and well maintained restrooms. This KOA is easily accessed from I-80.

Need to do something about the Direct TV cable. We could not get all of the major networks. Sometimes we got picture but no sound.

We only stayed 1 night but I thought it was a nice campground. Quiet, you could hear the highway noise but it wasn't that loud.

The campground was decent. Great pool, love the park, staff very friendly. Great for seasonal guests for work. Close to freeway so lots of freeway noise. We did have an issue about being swapped to a different spot, we called to have it fixed and told it was fixed, but was put in a spot with no trees and full sun.

Nothing you can do with the noise on I-80, but it was a nice place to stay. When we are driving through, we will stay there again.

Tanya and Moises i interacted with the most and they were great but the entire staff was awesome. Tanya even signed me and 2 other of my friends up for a membership, so it looks like I will be seeing more of them.

Just one night on our way to Colorado. It was convenient and staff was very nice. Moises took us to our site and told us he would be making pancakes and sausage for breakfast in the morning. It was amazing! Thank you.

Pros: Big rig friendly (40 foot 5th wheel) 50 amp with full hook ups Easy on and off interstate Very friendly staff Very nice playground area Very nice frisbee golf course Close to Walmart Bathrooms were clean Cons: -showers were lukewarm -sites were pretty tight Good for an overnight and would stay again

Friendly staff, a little noisy but it is close to an interstate. Sites are close, but it wasn't too busy, so they did a good job of spreading us out.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Newton KOA. As new full timers we got ourselves in a spot with tow vehicle trouble and our 2 week stay was extended into months. Tanya took good care of us getting initially situated. Jeff Adams helped us so much with everything, from making sure we were good when the weather got rough, Propane when we didn't have a vehicle, Too many deliveries to count and more. Thank you Jeff!!! As for the facility, The grounds are always very clean and nice, We really enjoyed the hiking trail. The upstairs showers and laundry facilities were always very clean. I could not imagine a better stay. I would give more stars if I could.
