Friendly staff, nicely maintained grounds. Enjoyed the free pancake breakfast on Saturday. Disc golf course was challenging, and there were plenty of games available to keep a family occupied. and a nice pool. I was glad there were no races at the nearby racetrack to spoil the visit, but the proximity to the interstate was still noisy. The pull-thru sites were closer together than most KOAs.

friendly staff ! nice shady spot but to close to the highway noise ! the 1967 Shasta we stayed in passing thru for one night was rough ! cute on the outside from afar but needs updated inside and out ! had ants crawling bad ! couldnt wait to leave at the crack of dawn ! and thru our bedding away !

Pool was too crowded to get in.. small sites - like a parking lot. Good for an overnight stop.

Staff is caring & courteous. It is a safe place to stop for a night or 2 on the road. Sites are a bit tight & if you're parked close to the highway it can be a bit noisy

Clean grounds and nice staff, very patient and accommodating when we locked ourselves out of our trailer. The only downside was being so close to the interstate there was lots of road noise but that’s not their fault. Great KOA overall!

Loved the park. Only negative was the freeway noise. But the park did hand out earplugs if you wanted them. Great Saturday pancake breakfast for a small donation (not required). Nice size swimming pool. The staff was very friendly.

Just an average KOA, fine for an overnight transit stay, with all the amenities you expect and grounds well manicured. Where they fell short: poor store selection. Proximity to I80 highway (noise!)- some sites were only 50 yards away. Finally, don’t put Des Moines in your name - you are nowhere near it!

Curtis and Dana be very proud of your staff Jeff called Tanya after storm helped us out of our tent when canopy collapsed on door Moses and Clarence help dispose of canopy Sam Rachel and Christian all amazing campsite very well kept as usual and once again staff amazing made our stay very pleasant and we look forward to coming back again next year if not sooner

Tanya Moses Clarence Rachel Sam Christian and Jeff are amazing they got us through a rough night and upgraded us to one of the beautiful cabins where we were able to rest and enjoy our final tonight what a wonderful crew Curtis and Dana should be very proud of them they went above and beyond and made sure that we were comfortable dry and happy they are golden

We had a delightful stay and the tree shading our spot was a welcomed surprise after being in full sun at most campgrounds during our 4300 mile trip around the Midwest. Thankfully, we had a roomy end site, otherwise we would have been very cramped. The other pull-through sites appeared to be way too close together.

Only stayed one night. Nice level gravel pads . Plenty of things for your little ones to do. Right off the interstate which is very convenient for us. Entrance a little tricky the first time but this KOA does a really good job with their signage. We will stay longer next time to check out their hiking trails.

Staff was very friendly. There was heavy rain one night that created a lot of washout in the roads and they fixed them quickly. We stayed on the bottom side of the campground in the pull through sites. Camp sites were on top of each other and concerning they even have fire pits on some of these sites. Site was on a slight slope. If we stayed again would request back in sight up top for more room

We had to switch sites when we arrived since our neighbors fire ring was 2 feet from our motor home. We were given a bigger site which helped. The staff seemed to be a mixed bag of helpfulness. Two of them were fabulous and one seemed like we were bothering her. The traffic noise is loud but it didn’t bother us. It’s easy access to the highway.

GREAT playground for the kids. Front office staff was wonderful. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Large space so that clothes didn't get wet. Easy in and out sites. Easy to walk around. Pool was wonderful in this heat wave.

Everyone was super helpful, and the grounds were always clean. When a rain storm came through they checked to make sure everyone in tents was safe. They noticed we left and checked in us in the morning. Had a free breakfast Saturday morning for everyone. And we will be back because of the friendlyness of the staff and cleanliness.

Probably the friendliest KOA staff we've come across. Campground very clean. The Saturday morning pancakes and sausage breakfast offered was a nice perk. Employees were out and about and totally accessible if needed. Great experience!

Right adjacent to the freeway, so pretty noisy, but facilities are good. Christian was a big help. Had some black tank issues and he was very helpful and conscientious!

Campground is packed in tighter than an overstocked Dealers Lot. Not up to KOA standards. Entire campground is paved with “crusher run (fines)” which makes for pudding like MUD that does not provide a drained surface. A 4” layer of 3/8” screened gravel needs to be placed on all spaces to ensure a “mud free” camping experience.

The upper pads need leveling! A little gravel on the pads would help the serious run off when the thunderstorms hit. Lower pads ok. Directions to site pretty vague. No guide to take you there. Dog park was nice.

Friendly staff, a little noisy but it is close to an interstate. Sites are close, but it wasn't too busy, so they did a good job of spreading us out.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Newton KOA. As new full timers we got ourselves in a spot with tow vehicle trouble and our 2 week stay was extended into months. Tanya took good care of us getting initially situated. Jeff Adams helped us so much with everything, from making sure we were good when the weather got rough, Propane when we didn't have a vehicle, Too many deliveries to count and more. Thank you Jeff!!! As for the facility, The grounds are always very clean and nice, We really enjoyed the hiking trail. The upstairs showers and laundry facilities were always very clean. I could not imagine a better stay. I would give more stars if I could.

We have been staying at the KOA for a couple of months. All the staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. Great place for summer with the kiddos too. We have stayed at a few campgrounds since we bought our camper and this one has been the best by far. Laundry facilities, outhouse and bathrooms are always clean.
