While this is a good location for an overnight stay, this is not a good campground to stay more time. The road noise from the interstate is deafening. When talking on your phone inside the RV, the person you are talking with even hears the noise. The people are VERY nice. Cable TV advertised, but many channels didn't come in and 1 no volume. KOAs are typically topnotch; this not so. It was clean.

This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve stayed here. Friendly staff, very helpful. Quaint campground, nice pool. In an industrial area but once you reach the campground it is nice. I’ll definitely stay here again!

Second time staying on way out West. Great facility for a one night stay or a length of time. Friendly staff. Just don’t miss the left turn to the park. It comes up on you quickly!

Beautiful site. A little tricky getting into correct road...pay close attention! It is a Journey, which really caters to overnighter, but we think the sites are too narrow. Fire pit, 4 person picnic table, & neighbors sewer are all in a row outside your door. We had 1 ft clearance between our power pole & neighbors once our slides were out.

Game room was not open, lounge was not open, the playground balls were flat, the bounce pad had no air in it, the cable TV wire had been severed by the lawn mower and did not work, they placed people next to each other when there were plenty of empty sites, the bathroom was not up to koa standards. Moses did a great job.

Easy access, friendly staff. Clean park all around. Enjoyed the nature trail. Yes, the interstate is noisy.

The staff very friendly and accommodating. We had asked for shady spots there were two couples in campers with little dogs. We stayed 4 nights and alot of road noise from I-80. We made it work we hope next time to have more shade. Showers and restrooms very clean! We will be back again. Denise

A lot of road noise but we did pick this because it was right off the highway on our route across country. The guys that checked us in were great. Appreciate the office is open later.

Staff was friendly and and professional. The trailer I had rented has seen its better days and is now ready to be put out to pasture. The door would not shut completely allowing bugs , AC, and/or heat to escape. An indoor portable AC unit stuck in what used to be a cabinet. WIFI signal was to weak to use even for email. I would recommend the property, just not the "retro trailer".

The 50 amp service was limited to a sloped hill that was impossible to level on despite being new. At 105+ degrees, we needed the power but noticed a strong smell of marijuana on the breeze and the smell of a fish cleaning station coming from the sewer lines. Staff gave me a "What do you want?" when I entered the office but changed their tune when I mentioned a reservation. Golf-cart drag race??

The pictures on the site are outdated. We must have been in a newly developed area with no trees, no room in between sites for setting up games and there's a major highway right behind the site. The woman checking us in was rude. We have been to other KOA's and really enjoyed them. If this was the first time we had tried KOA, then we more than likely would not be going back to any of them.

It was a great weekend!!! We all had a very relaxing, fun time and everyone was extremely nice and always had a smile!! We will definitely be back

Nice park with pool, play areas, pond, clean bath. Strong WiFI. Sites are fairly close but fairly level. The big draw back is highway noise. I-80 is very close. Very friendly staff. Would stay again as a pass through.

When checking in I did not feel welcome at the KOA Camp grounds was not full and they put us up on a hill at a long walk to the front to use the pool. The camp grounds had very few people in them but the pool was very crowded. Did not feel safe.

The pool was a bit too chilly. Loved the spot by the Lake other than the drop off at the edge, however talked with owners and they explained that the State of Iowa owns that part of the property and won’t let you all do anything to mark the danger which is sad. Shame on Iowa.

Great staff, took us to our campsite, even changed our site so we were not in the sun. Pancake breakfast in the morning was great!! Very nice campgrounds!

Very friendly staff. KOA park was very clean. The sites though close to one another where level. We ordered pizza which tasted very good at the front desk and it was brought to our site. The only drawback was the noise from the highway, but you do get use to it. We would recommend this KOA. Very pleased.

We stayed two nights. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean, well maintained park. Nice amenities with laundry, pool, playground and pet friendly. Very quiet, peacefull park. Highly recommend!

The campground appeared to be well maintained and the staff were polite. The only downside is it is close to the interstate and you hear traffic sometimes. Good place to stop for the night.

Friendly staff, a little noisy but it is close to an interstate. Sites are close, but it wasn't too busy, so they did a good job of spreading us out.

I have nothing but good things to say about the Newton KOA. As new full timers we got ourselves in a spot with tow vehicle trouble and our 2 week stay was extended into months. Tanya took good care of us getting initially situated. Jeff Adams helped us so much with everything, from making sure we were good when the weather got rough, Propane when we didn't have a vehicle, Too many deliveries to count and more. Thank you Jeff!!! As for the facility, The grounds are always very clean and nice, We really enjoyed the hiking trail. The upstairs showers and laundry facilities were always very clean. I could not imagine a better stay. I would give more stars if I could.

We have been staying at the KOA for a couple of months. All the staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. Great place for summer with the kiddos too. We have stayed at a few campgrounds since we bought our camper and this one has been the best by far. Laundry facilities, outhouse and bathrooms are always clean.
