Nestled behind a junkyard full of dead cars, trucks and RVs lies the KOA Newton East Des Moines IA which is worth skipping. Our site was littered with cigarette butts, dog feces, and the adjacent empty site had left trash bags. Told the office about the trash, she didn't come out to collect it. RV sites had no trees or bushes in between them. Low quality KOA, very creepy.

Super nice on the phone. Very accommodating as we came in after hours and left early( on a mission to get back home to Wash.) was very pleased. We we definitely stay there again if traveling that way.

We came late in the fall and the front desk person was VERY helpful and friendly. He went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay. We only stayed one night, and there wasn't much going on because it was November, but I really appreciated the help and hospitality. A great place.

This campground is well run, clean, and in a naturally attractive area. There is also a very nice, well maintained dog run area.Since we arrived late, we received a phone call instructing us where our registration information would be. The only negative at this campground is the noise from interstate 80 traffic, which borders the property.

Everything was clean, service was good but road noise (I-80) was too much. If the rain didn't help drown it, it would have been impossible to sleep.

great campground the staff goes above & beyond to make sure your stay is relaxing & comforable to the free pancake breakfast on saturday to the out door swimming pool always clean & relaxing to the shower house & laundry room always clean to the pond witch i personity fished a few times & caught fish too i want to put out special tyu to jeff & moises & racheal for making my stay at newton koa tyu

Jeff was very nice and accommodating to us. Made our first stay at a KOA a great experience. Would definitely recommend and stay with again.

It is a very nice KOA Campground. We stayed 2 times there going to South Dakota and coming back. Very clean and pretty.

They told us after we booked about the high water pressure. We had a regulator but hadn’t used it in so long it was cracked and we couldn’t use the water. Sad for KOA quality. No loaner offered.

Nice place to stop for the night, level pull through sites high water pressure of which they tell you up front so be sure to use your pressure regulator. Very nice.

The campground is tired. My 50 AMP service was not working, had to use 30. The site was not level, if I cant level my coach I cant put the slides out. The location was average at best.

Great park, interstate 80 - what a pain, once u got use to the traffic noice great park. The local wine from the store was excellent.

Nice 1 night stay, being right next to I-80 a little noisy. Just remember to run your air conditioner on high fan to drown it out

Love this place. The lady from Missoula that checked me in is my new friend. I stayed in one of the little campers. Very cool. I am 6'4" tall and did not fit the best but I still loved it. The grounds are beautiful, the restrooms are nice and clean every time. Thanks for doing a great job.

We really didn't want to review this park. Everything was the way we wanted it, BUT the constant noise from I-90, all day and all night, just completely made the stay not enjoyable. Sorry to say it, but it's just too noisy! Maybe the state or Fed's could put up a "noise barrier" like they do next to upscale neighborhoods.

Love this KOA! It’s a very nice place and the staff are very friendly. We stayed in a tent site and it was very nice. It had shade trees and has a spacious place to park. Will definitely be back! I want to check out the vintage trailers. Super cute vintage trailer area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Staff/amenities were great. 6 & 9 yo boys were busy both days with frisbee golf, jumppad, game room, Gaga ball, playground (could use upgrading), & fishing pond. Didn’t have time for trails. Pool closed for fall. Only complaint…we didn’t sleep & couldn’t enjoy patio as highway noise was VERY loud. For high $$, this is a deal breaker. Need a wall, more trees, high fence…something to block

Great overnight stay! Great staff and check in. Clean bathrooms too. The Park is really well maintained. We'll be back.

Manager allowed a large rowdy party, including at least a dozen non campers, right next to our very close site next to them. It was very disturbing and the party member were very unconscious of others’ space. There was music blasting and people were whooping and hollering. This party should have taken place in a group pavilion, private room, or lub, not in a campground at a site.

Check in was great. Had trouble booking on line and Christy? took care of it for me. Thanks! Campground is nice, well maintained, we had a site with trees and shade. Wifi is rough, definitely need to upgrade with so many people working remotely and we all have phones, tablets, laptops. Even stating that, we would stay again.

Highway noise way too loud - they even give free earplugs. This should be mentioned on the website. Way overpriced because of the noise and width of the camp sites. I can understand charging more on race days, but overpriced when there are no races.

This campground is beautiful. Lots of things to do around the camp ground. Disc golf, a fishing pond, and even a Dog Park for your. Oh and don't forget the in ground swimming pool. I absolutely love working for this facility, so many friendly faces, and everyone is always smiling. Highly recommend making reservations here.

Very friendly and beautiful Rv Park. We only stopped for 1 night on way home but next time may extend going through. Also food in area delivers to RV which is nice after a long day of driving!

We loved our time at the Newton KOA! Vintage Row was so adorable and perfect for our group of families to enjoy the weekend! The staff was top notch and treated us like royalty! The kids loved the crafts, playground and fishing in the pond. We can't wait to go back and check out the new Yellowstone Row at the Waukee KAO! Thank you for hosting us Dana, Moses, and the entire tram at the KAO! You are the best!
