Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, the parade — along with the day full of activities — is sure to once again be a memory-making event.
Food vendors will be available before and after the parade as festivities move from downtown Newton to Agnes Patterson Park,

A kid's zone will be open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. with inflatables. The evening's entertainment leading to the grand fireworks display is Faculty Lounge, a Des Moines' 10-piece, all-teacher, horn-driven, multi-hyphenated old-school funk machine that offers an eclectic assortment of jazz, funk, soul and R&B. The show starts at 5:30 p.m.The night will end with a bang as the fireworks light up the sky over Agnes Patterson Park at dusk.
