Newton / Des Moines East KOA

Only 30 minutes east of Des Moines, Iowa, Newton KOA is the perfect overnight stop after a long day's drive. Easy on and off of I-80 with shopping within 1/2 mile of the campground.

At our KOA, enjoy RV and tent sites set in an open, rolling landscape. Gravel full hook up pull through sites and larger grassy back in sites make your stay comfortable.
Our cabins accommodate 4-6 people and are always clean, fresh, and ready for your arrival.
Relax by our refreshing pool (Memorial Day to Labor Day) or bring a lawn chair and cast a line for bluegill, bass and channel catfish in the campground's fishing pond.
Cooler evenings are perfect to hike the adjoining 1 mile nature trail, pitch horseshoes or let your
children enjoy our playground, sand pit, jumping pad and GaGa pit!  How about a game of disc golf?  Our 9 hole course gets everyone involved and out in the fresh air.
We haven't forgotten your special pet - we have a fenced dog park that it can run free and off leash while you relax on a bench.
Holiday weekends we have special events planned for our campers.
Visit Pella, IA in May for their annual Tulip Festival that bursts with colorful blossoms and enjoy their delicious dutch treats year round.
You're also within a 30 minute drive to the state capital of Des Moines and attractions such as Adventureland Amusement Park, The Botanical Gardens, Living History Farms, Blank Park Zoo, Bass Pro Shop and Prairie Meadows Casino in Altoona, plus much more!
Located only 30 miles east of Des Moines, out of city traffic but close enough for day trips! Iowa Speedway is located 2 miles from our campground, with scheduled races during the summer along with ride along events, plus, it is also a fun place to tour.
Be sure to include Newton KOA on your list of stops on your trip!  We would love to have you!
