We stayed here 3 or 4 years ago and are impressed to see the updates! Even the chickens have upgraded facilities. Will definitely stay here again when in area!

Location of KOA is very good. Site 4 - sewer is low - can’t screw in elbow. But have to camp over it. Very on top of next door site. Trails in woods were gone to make way for expansion. They were nice to walk.

Accidentally chose a 30 amp/no sewer hook up for an overnight stay. Lot of trees helped. Pool was great for kids.

Park was clean & well managed. Staff was very friendly. But topography was challenging for our 40' motorhome towing a car with steep narrow roads & sites terraced into the hillside. Still, would certainly recommend for smaller units.

No shade whatsoever. Sick employee in the office coughing all over everyone, should have stayed home! Also, you are not allowed to pitch a tent on an RV site even if there is room. We had to pay an additional $100 (2 nights) for the 2 adult children to sleep in the tent at another site. (Our small trailer can accommodate 3 but not 4.) It would be nice if KOA would let you reserve specific sites.

We had a wonderful stay and the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating when we were not going to be able to make it the first night. Everyone was friendly. The place was very clean. It was our first time at a KOA and we thought it was cool there were activities on the weekend for the kids.

Easy access, very nice staff and guests. The patio site was wonderful and we were grateful for the gas grill when our propane system suddenly decided not to work. We travel I-81 fairly often and have put this one on our ”stay there again” list.

was a half way point for trip to smokey mountains. minor criticism: chalky dust and a lot of flies. Your staff is awesome! 6 out of 5! I would stay again. Pleasantly surprised by the area.

We stayed one night as a stopover. The staff was friendly & courteous. They show you to your site & offer to help getting in if needed. The location was convenient, & the sites are spacious. The only problem was the site we had, as well as 2 others in our group, were not level. For one night, not such a problem. Campground was well maintained.

We felt we given a site that was too small for our trailer and we felt cramped on both sides. Our site on our previous stay was bigger and made our stay much more comfortable.

We just stayed overnight on our way to East Coast. Easy on easy of interstate 81but far enough it was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a pull through site that was very nice. We will definitely come back here again when traveling this way.

Love this KOA it's so pretty and clean. Sites are spaced far enough apart and I really like the deluxe patio site we stayed at. We were passing through on our way to SC and like it so much we stayed an extra nite! Will definitely stop here again!

We were just overnight guests on our way back to Delaware. This stop was so convenient for us. The KOA is right off the highway and easy pull in to the office. Our site was a pull through on a nice flat pad. The facilities were nice as well.

The campsite and bathrooms were clean. The issue was the wifi. It was awful. It never stayed up and we could not even check our mail. I would think a koa would put some money into improving wifi even if the rates go up a little to support it. It was so annoying

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

If good WiFi was as simple as putting some money into it, we would have done so a long time ago. There is no high seed internet in our rural area of Virginia. We offer the best that is available at this time. We have a notice on our website letting campers know that WiFi is not good here.

We stayed in a Deluxe Premium site with a patio and furniture, lot 18. It was spacious, and perfect for our toddler as he had room to run and the playground was right across from us! I wish there were trees over us; however, they're fairly new so...in time! :) The campground is small and clean. The staff were friendly. The pool and game room were also fun. We will definitely be back!

This campground was very clean. Nice small pool. I was very impressed with the bathrooms. It is also located about 7 minutes from The Natural Bridge. Easy in, easy out. Next time we are in the area we will stay there again.

Hilly and most roads covered in gravel making it a little slippery when riding a heavy Harley.....also should not allow people to fly political flags slamming the President not what we want to see when we are on vacation alot of campgrounds ban this. Good location for visiting Lexington and Natural Bridge state park. Worker with dark hair and beard had a nasty attitude when asked a question.

Very nice campground directly off of Rt 81. Close to local attractions. The park has had regular upgrades, everything was clean and new looking. Sites were level and full hookup/sewer/cable/wifi were available. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'll stay here again.
