Easy check in, very nice and helpful staff, clean restrooms. The campground is in a very relaxed area edged by a beautiful river. All facilities are kept up, large play area and pool.

We love this quiet little campground so much we will be back in 2 weeks to stay for a month. Matt is amazing and Cat and Chrissy can’t be matched. Clean well maintained campground with a beautiful lil river running through it. Outstanding KOA

Really nice campground set on a riverbank. Great staff. Nice pool. Murphy is a sleeply little town. Not much there to do except white water rafting which is an hour away.

The KOA on Happy Valley Rd. In Murphy, NC is one of the best. It’s located in a beautiful setting along a river nestled in the mountains. Our site was level, and the tree close by provided shade for our truck and camper. The staff was friendly, organized and professional. It was clean and well-run. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and plan on visiting this KOA a lot in the future.

Very nice clean camp ground. Matt the owner is a working machine. He has done so much to make it a 5 star campground. Great camping at a reasonable price.

The first thing I noticed when driving in was the well maintained grounds. This is the best campground I have ever been in!! It's small and not crowded. Office personal go out of their way to help and make you feel right at home. AND there is a river to tube on or you can fish.Most campgrounds are very noisy but not here. Best campground I've ever been in.

Matt and the staff were nice as always. Matt has done a lot of work improving the campground over the years. The lady, can't remember her name, but she also was helpful. Best KOA ever.

took 3 grandkids back for the second time , they love it , we use camp there when we had a camper a few years back , only about an hour fr0m home , our grandaughter said we should make this an anual trip ,

The campground was quiet and very clean. We enjoyed the river and the pool. Everyone was kind and friendly. We also liked that Murphy has a cute downtown area that was a short drive away. We plan to come back to explore the hiking in the area.

I said I would recommend this campground BUT that’s for the review. I’m keeping it a secret so I don’t have to worry about getting my site! This is the most peaceful pleasant place to camp EVAH! (That evah accent is for you Kat) LOL two old ladies camping here completely safe!

Very nice place. Good facilities. A little road noise however, being on the water's edge is really nice. Great camp host. Great firefly observation area.

Very nice well-kempt campground, clean, picturesque, and great staff. They accommodated our request to stay longerr than normal check-out time and helped us navigate our exit through in-bound campers on their well-paved but narrow road. The only negative was the next-door seemingly long-term camper that was untidy with a blue tarp covering part of their gear.

We love to stay in cabin #3. But is there any way to upgade the small rocker chair to a regular bigger recliner? My husband is over 6 foot tall and he was almost sitting with his knees to his chest. Futon is to low to the floor also. Can you get a regular pull out sleeper sofa? We love the scenery. The bedroom was warm because the air conditioner didn’t reach that far.

The campground is very well kept up. Clean, large sites. The staff were fabulous. Always checking with you. Always there if you needed anything. Will definitely put it on our list to return.

I just love this place! Matt, the owner, and all the staff are so friendly and helpful! My dogs LOVE the huge dog park! The park is clean, well maintained and peaceful.

We made our 3rd visit, and enjoyed it just as much. Kat, the campground host is absolutely amazing. She is funny and friendly. She makes sure all your needs are met. The campground is spotless. Very well taken care of. Matt, the owner, is like the Energizer Bunny. He is constantly working to keep his campground running smoothly and looking beautiful. I highly recommend this KOA.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Love the site we had that backed up to the river. Everything was clean and it was quite and peaceful.

We love going to Murphy/peace. Dee is the best. She is definitely part of our family now. If you want a peaceful and relaxing trip, this is it. We love coming up and going downtown to check out the shops and antique stores. Float down the river or just lay by the pool.

Nice cabin on the water with plenty of room for me, my brother and dog. Pet friendly and easy to find. Nice kitchen with everything you need for a couple of days or longer. Unfortunately the cabin is crammed in between another cabin and an RV site so zero privacy. RV campers next to us leaned their bicycles up against our cabin, ran their motorcycles in the evening and morning in front of the cabin. Total disregard for people next to them. Campfire right next to our window and talking throughout the night loud enough to be heard in the bedroom. It's a shame you can't fix discourteous. KOA staff was amazing and friendly though and the laundry area was clean and the washer and dryer worked well.
