Everyone was so nice and helpful. Even when our plans had to change suddenly they were very accommodating. We will definitely stay there again when in Charleston.

This was our first KOA experience and probably our last if we can help it. Not our kind of camping with campers packed together and very expensive. Everything was an up charge including selecting a site. Laundry was very expensive. We did like the pancake breakfast that was available (for a reasonable fee).

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

There was an up charge because you upgraded your site from a water/electric only site to a full hook up (water/electric/sewage) site. There is a difference in the rate.

This is a great place to stay. We spent 3 nights and the staff was all very friendly and helpful. I especially loved that they had wired internet connection on the pedestal. was able to get very hi speed internet while there by plugging my router into it.

This is a wonderful campground! Staff are friendly and attentive, and always have a dog biscuit available for canine friends. The grounds and washrooms are kept clean. There is a beautiful walking path around the lake. Large, well kept dog park. Nicest KOA I have ever been to. Will definitely come back here when I return to Charleston!

This is our 2nd time staying at the Mt. Pleasant/Charleston KOA. This campground is clean and staff are very friendly. We really enjoyed the pasta dinner, omelet, and pancake breakfast as well.

Lovely KOA in a beautiful area. One of the most gorgeous KOAs we’ve ever stayed. It’s a little pricey and laundry was the most expensive I’ve seen-$6/load. I wound still return in a heartbeat to enjoy the beautiful area.

The grounds are kept up constantly, we always appreciate the trash collection that gos through daylight hours, AND we can’t say enough about the staff and their willingness to bend over backwards to make sure you have a wonderful experience. I had absentmindedly made my reservations for the wrong month!!! The entire staff worked to ensure we had a place to stay!! Can’t thank them enough!!!

Stayed in site 39. The park was very nice and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is the site must have had a freshly cut and ground tree removed. There was a large area of shavings and dirt at our rv door. And it rained so a lot of that got tracked into the camper. That being said, I would definitely stay here again.

The most beautiful KOA we have ever stayed at. Friendly staff, breakfast made ($5), and activities . Our site B02 was between two camping cabins and had a great view of the lake. We sat in the swing chair and watched birds and fished most of the day. Very relaxing.

The location is convenient. The restrooms and laundry were not kept as clean as we are accustomed to at other KOA’s, and the rates were high! Neighbor’s dump was right by our table. Excessive speed bumps!

Very nice campground - clean facilities and pleasant staff. Surprisingly quiet given its location. Beautiful walking/bike trail that loops back to the campground. Nice on-site lake with rental kayaks, canoes, peddle boats. Conveniently located near supermarket, fuel, golf, and attractions like the Boone Plantation which is definitely worth visiting. Great $5 breakfast Friday-Sunday

But way too much goose poop all over the property. My lot ruined my outdoorugs. My wiping mats and under my shoes and my dog had to walk in the poop.

We are not fans of the geese either. Geese are protected so we are unable to do anything about them.

We were assigned a wonderful campsite near the lake. Enjoyed everything about it. But we had seen a campsite for $99 and when we booked it, that was the rate we thought we were getting. The next day, my husband went to the office to pay for Italian dinners and found out our campsites were actually almost $200 per night. We didn't know that we were in a premium area in the campground. Ouch!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The campground has different rates for different site types. We are assuming that when you reserved online on 3/21 for arrival the same day, the only full hook up available was a premium deluxe site. You will be able to tell by the description of the site type and the amount of the deposit paid.

This campground is beautiful and quiet! We really enjoyed walking the wooded trail each day. Amazed at how you feel like you staying in a state park but are super close to groceries, places to eat!

We had the most wonderful stay here, we stayed in site 71 which is an end unit with a lake view. It is improved with a patio, wonderful seating including glider chairs and a swing right on the water. They gave us a complimentary bundle of firewood with this site. It's very quiet here and is dark with not a lot of light pollution coming in through the shades. The pool was open but it was cool so we didn't use it. the walking path along the lake was pleasant and we saw lots of turtles and water birds. It is a gated park and felt very safe. We previously stayed at a different KOA on the other side of town and we're so glad we found this place. There is a fantastic dog park with two separate areas, one has access to the water, the fencing actually extends into the water for safe playing.

We really liked this KOA. Great location to check out Patriot Point, and they have a lot of things to do. They have a great trail to walk your BFF on and a beautiful lake. I wish the dog park had 2 separate doors to it so you don't have to let your dog in with other dogs. Many good things to do at this park! Enjoy!!
