The camp is very clean, very orginized and professionally ran, the staff (not just the office crew, butt everyone) was very friendly. our campsite was great. Well love to bike ride and there was prenty of places to for that. I recommend visiting this location to everyone. Djm

Reservation made on the KOA website was not checked by CG and we wound up with a back-in site (it was fine). Be careful when reserving online as the site options are many and they graciously gave us sewer despite not having a pull-thru site for us. Facilities look good but the CG is noisy at night and generally very busy. Security is good for the CG. EXPENSIVE!

It was great, just not long enough. The setting of an old plantation, the nature trail, the lake, the general layout of the property ,and the wonderful staff are all reasons we will return soon for a longer stay.

Friendly staff, beautiful grounds. Loved the extra events going on at the campground, i.e. ice cream social, soup supper etc. In addition, the campground is in close proximity to lots of options for food, shopping and attractions!

One of the most accommodating, and friendly staff!! Everyone employee we spoke to went out of their way to make our stay the best. There were many activities, meals, and s’mores! The grounds were well kept, and the park was very quiet. It was close to restaurants, stores, and attractions. The only problem we had, was that we weren’t there long enough! It was a great place to stay!!

Only thing a bit disappointing was the charge for guest. We are 2 folks, 2 pets & 1 vehicle. While you get what you pay for and your place is certainly worth a higher price not a fan of the guest charge. If it was over 6 that the site allows I get it. We always donate to Kamp Cares & we spend the xtra for the discount that's not always applied. I just find the xtra charge a money grab. Not Cool!

Little to no shade trees on most sites. Way too expensive for a very average campground. It looks like they took every site that had a tree and put a concrete pad and fire ring and chairs and doubled the price. Pretty disappointing KOA overall. Was nice that they loaned out a 5G router for our stay. Front desk people could be more friendly, the workers in golf carts were very friendly.

We get the tree comment quite a bit. In the summer we hear that there are not enough trees, in the winter, too many trees.

The Best KOA in USA. Best Customer Service from the Cleaning Team, Front Desk, Guys that take you to your spots, and the guys that pick up trash. The Best group. Wish all were like that. It all starts at the top with Jackie and of course the owner! John Olshefski - The Citadel Class of 1980.

Nice campground and now that I have been there I would go back and probably book a site with the patios. The other pull thru are ok but some have trees that are a nuisance with the awnings, entry and exit to the sites and not all are leveled. The Wifi was not great and neither was the cable TV but a great location to the beach and Charleston.

Although able to book last patio site available for visit, was not able to fully enjoy its amenities due to HOT weather! Would like to return in cooler Spring or Fall & book a site closer to/across from either dog walk area preferably near dog park. Site staff were helpful by enabling us to put air in tires & line up RV steps to pad upon arrival to ensure being level without any adjustments.

Nice campground but $120 a night for a gravel and grass site is too pricey. Also witnessed EXTREMELY UNSAFE situation with KOA worker in KOA golf cart towing 2 young girls behind- one on a skateboard and one on roller skates. Going way too fast and driving through water puddles. Very dangerous! We love the location but price will probably cause us to go elsewhere.

Excellent campground. Very clean, neat and wonderful location. Enjoyed visiting Charleston during our stay. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this campground.

One of the best campgrounds I stayed at. We had a site on the lake. The staff were all pleasant. They have a trail you can walk in the campground that is mostly shaded. 10 minutes outside of Charleston. The sites are a little close together but if you are on the lake sites, you are fine.

+ Staff very attentive + Very clean and tidy + Communication was excellent + Many trees provided much needed shade. - would have liked either cement or blacktop driveways for all RV.s - drain connections, would have liked it even with ground to facilitate better drainage. - pool closure a bit too conservative. - consider using a service for mosquito/gnat issue.

Stay was good, in a great location, had a nice site. Complaints are that my site was not cleaned before my stay. There was dog poop in several spots, I had to clean up myself, I don't even have a dog. There were fire ant hills all over. We fixed hot dogs and within minutes they were covered with ants. Mosquitos were bad. For the comfort of the campers they should spray and clean poop off sites.

There are quite a few geese on the property and they poop pretty big. I think this is what the problem was. Very sorry but we can't seem to be able to get them to fly away and stay there.

The worst treatment by manager we have received in 3 years of camping. After being surprised for 50bday by 13 family members (6 also camping at this KOA) we left 15 min later. I received a rude call from Jackie fussing at me for unregistered guests. Later charged my brothers card for $199 no authorization. Never came to our site to speak with us. Fought for the money to be refunded 2 days later.

You just confirmed with your own words what the problem was. Numerous unregistered guests on the campground the length of your stay. Guest policy explained at check-in, spoke to you about it again, disregarded, rudeness to staff, name calling, not a pleasant stay.

I stay here regularly and it's always a great visit and I hate leaving. I have dogs and the trails are lovely. Can't wait to bring my kayak w me for the lake; they rent kayaks but I haven't done that yet. Will be fabulous. Sites are relatively close together but there are some better than others of course. Newest sites on the lake are nice but out of my price point. Thank you Mt P/Char KOA Team!

The entire campground is very well maintained. Hard working staff members are constantly everywhere, friendly, and helpful with any and all needs. Extremely clean. Each time I put my trash out, it was picked up almost immediately. I don't think it ever laid there more than 5 minutes. Very quiet. Overall really nice experience.

We have stayed here for the past 10 years and there is always some improvement going on. We stayed in the "new" section over by the dog park. We liked it more than we thought we would. It is very expensive though.

Our site #54 was not a good site because of the trees that overhang, couldn’t even put out awning out because the trees were all on the camper and the back slide was touching the tree limbs. Other than site #54 being terrible for the size of our camper and probably any camper because the trees it’s a very nice campground

Great place to stay, convenient to where we wanted to be in Charleston, and very cordial people. Nice and clean place a lot of activities for the kids. Enjoyed fireworks and free hot dogs.

Every part of our stay at #12 site was fabulous. I L O V E D the swings by the lake. So relaxing. Location to our venue, and recreation were perfect. And, I really appreciate y'all scheduling such fantastic weather for our stay. Such a nice touch;).

This is our 2nd time here and it's always so clean and welcoming. The people are always so nice and helpful. There is so much to do and it's absolutely beautiful and easy to get to.

We had the most wonderful stay here, we stayed in site 71 which is an end unit with a lake view. It is improved with a patio, wonderful seating including glider chairs and a swing right on the water. They gave us a complimentary bundle of firewood with this site. It's very quiet here and is dark with not a lot of light pollution coming in through the shades. The pool was open but it was cool so we didn't use it. the walking path along the lake was pleasant and we saw lots of turtles and water birds. It is a gated park and felt very safe. We previously stayed at a different KOA on the other side of town and we're so glad we found this place. There is a fantastic dog park with two separate areas, one has access to the water, the fencing actually extends into the water for safe playing.

We really liked this KOA. Great location to check out Patriot Point, and they have a lot of things to do. They have a great trail to walk your BFF on and a beautiful lake. I wish the dog park had 2 separate doors to it so you don't have to let your dog in with other dogs. Many good things to do at this park! Enjoy!!
