The Mount Pleasant/Charleston KOA is our favorite campground. We try to end our camping year by staying here. It is a beautiful and very well managed campground. The landscaping, activities and personnel are just phenomenal. If you have the opportunity to stay here I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!

The campgrounds are clean with large sites. It is location is close to everything but not stuck in downtown. The staff is very friendly, and very helpful. There is a lake here that makes this a very peaceful campground to stay at. We have been here 2 years in a row now and plan on coming back next year. There is so much to in this town and this is the perfect place to do it from.

Very Clean, everyone on staff were very helpful and pleasant. Location is perfect and close to everything we wanted to see. Camp activates were great. Oh, and the Sunday morning Breakfast was very tasty and a great price of $5.00 a person. Thank you for a great vacation.

The staff is so friendly and the campground is very well maintained. This is one of our favorite KOA’s.

I have given 5 stars before and would do the same today, except for the bathrooms. Every time I used the facilities, the floors were wet and muddy, the room was not clean - toilet, shower, etc., and there were towels and toiletries left behind. It didn't matter if it was midday, evening, or very early AM. These are normally clean, but that was not the case this trip.

We loved the campground, and the seasonal decorations were very fun and festive. Site B1 is nice being on the lake, but there is no relief from the sun. There needs to be a pergola over the seating area or a roof of some sort. The extra cost of the site was not worth it. But overall, it is a great campground.

The park was beautiful. Well kept. Little disappointed in the showers. They were not cleaned as much as needed. But everything else was a great.

Been here many times.Site 71 was the best site we've ever had. Beautiful lake views. The Halloween events were perfect. Only comment, when the cabin area is full, and was, the new restroom/showers are a mess. Not for a lack of cleaning, but for the muddy boot prints the fishing group left everywhere inside.The new facilities are great otherwise. Will always come back.Thank you for a great stay.

This is one of the most enjoyable koa we have been to. Lots of amazing activities good fishing amazing staff. Clean throughout entire area. Just a really fun time there.

The best KOA we have stayed at so far. The campground was laid out quite nicely with easy access to our site, #9. Staff was great and friendly and professional.

Love this resort. Have been visiting Charleston for the last five years and only stay here. Oddly enough, we don’t make use of any of their many amenities. We just love the spotless grounds, spacious well appointed premium sites, courteous staff, and strictly, but professionally enforced rules.

They have an ice machine on site that only takes $1 bills. We were in town for a college lacrosse game and needed before heading to the tailgate. I went to the front desk asking for $14 in one dollar bills. Sorry, we can’t give you that. Ok, $8 so I could get 2 bags, nope, that would wipe us out. Bring $1 bills if you need ice! Camp ground is nice, get the concrete pad porch if available!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

When you came into the office to get change for the ice machine at 8:00 am, you had a $100 bill, the shift had just started and breaking a $100 that early would have wiped us out. Could have broken a $20, but at that time of the morning, we just can't break large bills. Sorry for the inconvenience

The breakfast was a nice touch, haven't seen that before! Staff was very friendly and informative, told us all we needed to know at check in.

We were only in for 1 night, but the facilities were so nicely maintained and festive for Halloween. The staff was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. It is a beautiful park and very clean. Nice view of the lake. Good location for a lot of attractions. Would defiantly stay there again.

Park is spotlessly clean. The staff is friendly and service is GREAT. Excellent location and easy access to everything Charleston. We've stayed before and we'll stay again.

Great location for exploring Charleston & Mount Pleasant. We had a pull through site with picnic table; more than adequate for our 45' motorhome and tow.

Nice quiet spot, 15-20 mins to downtown Charleston. Plenty of other stuff to do locally. Hopefully internet get better in the future but all in all a great park. Great service and very clean. Definitely will stay again…

Very hospitable and helpful. However, disappointing that 3 of the 4 showers in the new bathhouse were out of order and hooks to hang your clothes, towel and toiletries on were insufficient or none at all.

We had the most wonderful stay here, we stayed in site 71 which is an end unit with a lake view. It is improved with a patio, wonderful seating including glider chairs and a swing right on the water. They gave us a complimentary bundle of firewood with this site. It's very quiet here and is dark with not a lot of light pollution coming in through the shades. The pool was open but it was cool so we didn't use it. the walking path along the lake was pleasant and we saw lots of turtles and water birds. It is a gated park and felt very safe. We previously stayed at a different KOA on the other side of town and we're so glad we found this place. There is a fantastic dog park with two separate areas, one has access to the water, the fencing actually extends into the water for safe playing.

We really liked this KOA. Great location to check out Patriot Point, and they have a lot of things to do. They have a great trail to walk your BFF on and a beautiful lake. I wish the dog park had 2 separate doors to it so you don't have to let your dog in with other dogs. Many good things to do at this park! Enjoy!!

The staff at KOA Mount Pleasant truly enjoy what they do! It shows in how you are treated and the thoughtful things they do to ensure you enjoy your stay. We have stayed here many times over the last 15 years. The sites are spacious, clean and beautiful. The facilities are clean and well kept and fully stocked. Thanks for another enjoyable stay
