Not sure of criteria for Holiday status but this place has to be close to it, I have seen Holidays (like Billings montana) that are not as nice. This RV park has owners that really go above and beyond to make it very nice. Can't think of anything negative to point out.

A really nice park. Sites are kinda tight but totally clean and enough room. Great area to walk dogs and a k-9 fenced area too. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bathrooms were clean, colorful porcelain sinks and an amazing rainwater hot shower. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed ourselves a lot.

The best KOA we have stayed at. Mark and Stephanie were so welcoming and kind. We had truck break down and they helped us. Facility was clean and well taken care of. Would highly recommend

Very well kept KOA! Did an overnight stop on our way to the Black Hills, pulling 2 trailers and Mark did an amazing job to be sure we could get in a site without unhooking. Will be stopping again on the return trip!

You have the most beautiful, serene, and peaceful campground. We will definitely recommend and stay with you in the future. Anyone with dogs will enjoy the extra lengths you have gone to to give them an, enjoyable experience too!

I have spent a lot of time camping at different places (usually look for KOAs) but this one was the best ever. The owners were the most friendly people ever. Our friends had RV trouble and they were so accommodating for them. Helping them with a mechanic to help them out. The campsite was beautiful and especially clean. I would recommend this place over and over.

What a quaint Koa!!! The owners were amazing, the property is one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in! I would absolutely stay here again!!! A+++

Always a great place to stay. We stop here on our first nite outbound and our last nite coming home. Clean restrooms, large shade trees which are great when hooking up on a hot afternoon. Very friendly and accommodating owners and staff. Nice upgrades since new owners took over in 2022?

Good site. Evidence of camp renewal -- they are planting new trees. Excellent to go dinner food. Personnel very very good. In all a delightful experience.

Sad to see the KOAs doing away with dump stations. We mostly stay at an electric/water site for the reason that we don't appreciate sitting at our picnic table just a few feet from the neighbor's sewer hookup. In the future... if a KOA sells a water/electric site w/o an (very visible) advisory that there now is no dump station, I feel like the customer should get a partial refund.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We do have a dump station. Sorry, you couldn't find it while you were here. We usually brief the location to guests that are staying in water/electric sites. If we did not brief location, sorry about that. But, it is on our site map and located at the back of the property.

Campground is clean; bathroom facilities spotless. Hosts were extremely accommodating even though we arrived late. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends.

Tried to call this location a week in advance to add info about our stay, phone was not answered during normal business hours. Both the workers said contraindicated things such as: the voicemail isn’t set up yet and he said it was after 6 rings which I know isn’t that case because we called many times. Anyways we were happy we were just driving through and staying just to sleep. No hospitality

Awesome stay. We were on our way to Custer & Mount Rushmore and decided to stay at the Mitchell KOA. Could not have been a better choice. Park was great and very neat and clean. Hosts were great & friendly. Will stay again on our way back.

Our first time at a KOA after having a travel trailer for 6 yrs. We have been avoiding KOAs as they seem to have way more amenities than we need. This one is a little more laid back and quiet.

Fantastic park! We loved all the shade trees and the employees are absolutely delightful. We were only there for one night but will definitely go back if our travels take us to the area again. Gravel parking but very level.

Mark & Steffany were once again AWESOME. Been staying there for 5 seasons for pheasant hunting and every year is better. Mark has made a LOT of improvements in just one year. Cabins have upgraded power. Just great people running a great KOA. Will be back again next year.

Lovely campground that is immaculately maintained by the nicest hosts ever. Intended to stay one night but came back two other nights. Big thanks to Stephanie and her husband for staying open an extra week! P.S. nicest bathrooms you will ever find at a campground.
