RV Reviews

Our first time staying in an rv at a park. The place was very clean. The people were very professional. The park was surprisingly quiet. The amenities were good. We will definitely stay again when we go to Phoenix. And we would recommend Apache Junction KOA to everyone.

Stay was very good, however, the drive areas need to be repaired and filled in.

We had a great stay. We enjoyed the clean bathrooms, and the pool and hot tub. We had a patio site and it was very spacious.

We stayed two months at Mesa/Apache Junction and the staff was wonderful. Loved the view of the Superstition Mtn and the accommodations were great. You won't be disappointed in your stay at this KOA.

Very nice view of the Superstition mountains, large pull thru site. Management and workers were friendly. Would stay again.

As with all KOAs, the RVs are packed in like sardines. Never will I ever stay there again.

Great folks in person or when dealing with them on the phone. Clean bathrooms and surroundings.

It was a little dusty, but I guess that should be expected for Arizona. Thank you

Big sites, easy to get our big rig in and out. The only reason for not getting a "5" was trees needed to be trimmed a bit. Our rig is 13-1 high and was brushing the trees. Great place, great staff, easy hook ups to services. Have stayed there in the past and will likely stay again in the future.

Bath and shower facilities were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. However, grounds need considerable work to eliminate weeds and particularly stickers! These were a big problem for our pooch. Sewer line interface was too low to properly and safely seal for drainage.

The team that works there are very helpful and friendly. We stayed for 2 nights for a wedding in the area and had a back-in site (#31). Their sites are angled and have some nice privacy along the back wall. There's also a lot of good space between sites. The angle of each site makes it so you aren't all opening your doors into the view of each other's windows. We got a good night's sleep.

Staff were very helpful. The Park is well maintained, modern bathrooms, and sites are large.

I still gave you great rating. However, you need to do something about no WiFi out on the edge away from your office.

All the staff were great and friendly. Zach parked us when we first arrived and was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. Heather up in the front office was awesome, friendly and funny. Always smiling and happy to help. All the staff, inside and out were great. Thank you for a great year.

We enjoyed our stay. The pool was fantastic, the grounds are well kept, and the sites are spacious. A few issues: A couple female staff members were snippy when I asked for help, the bathrooms are only cleaned once a day and get quite filthy in between cleanings. They also shut down the office for the noon hour and you can't get help. Suggest staggering your breaks so someone is always available.

I am a first time camper and the KOA hosts were very helpful.

Its kinda far out, but it is easy to get to, easy to get around in, very clean and helpful staff. Only complaint is the wifi does not work at all.

If you like bad customer service and difficulty dumping out your black and grey water tanks because they are 40'+ feet away; stay here.

Great site. We stayed a week. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Wifi not the best. I had great t-mobile service and my 5g hot spot worked well.

We stayed for a week while in the Phoenix area. Site was all gravel but typical for the area. Staff was accommodating, laundry was clean, and pool looked good! The dog park is lacking, but there is a nice green city one about 5-10 minutes away.

Park staff was super friendly, as always. Clean showers/restroom. The site was a little tight, but it is a Journey location and we were only there for the night. I actually appreciate the site being tight, allowing for more sites. If you're reading this then you are probably aware of how difficult it can be do find an open site in AZ from late fall to spring.

Kimberly is the best KOA employee I’ve encountered in 40+ years as an RVer. She was beyond helpful and saved us from a night on the side of the road. We are forever indebted to her for her kindness. Y’all need to hang on to her!

Well maintained park with helpful prompt staff. Sites all have “elbow room” so one is not jammed next to someone else.

An acceptable gravel KOA on a main road. Stayed here mid-Jan 2024. Pull-through FHU 50 amp. All gravel. Site #41. General: It's an acceptable option to see some local stuff. The area smells bad some days. Staff: Staff are very nice and helpful. Sites: Our site (#41) was very spacious and had LOTS of room behind it all the way to the retaining wall at the main road. Had daily trouble with folks site cutting with dogs off-leash, and most were repeatedly disrespectful when asked to use the campground road to access the area. Campground Road: Paved/gravel mix. Campground WiFi: Could not connect on any attempt for thee 14 nights. Grounds: Clean and maintained really well. But definitely needs updating. Bathrooms/Showers: Shower stalls in an open bathroom environment. Poorly light showers. Laundry: 6 washers (a couple did not work well) and 2 working dryers (1 was out of order). Pool: Did not use. Location: 3-5 min from gas and groceries. 20 min to Lost Dutchman, 45 to Casa Grande NM, 1hr 20min to Tonto. 25-35 min to Phoenix and Scottsdale areas. Near highway: Yes. Close to highway and highway noise if that bothers you. Near train: No. Cell: Verizon worked but the signal is deceiving. Spotty and caused issues with meetings cutting out. Could stream but with buffering. Cell: AT&T worked best and could work on vpn and uninterrupted Zoom calls. Could also stream movies.

We are full-time rv'ers. We often stay in KOA's for our short stays. This is an immaculate, well run park. No issues at all and the location is perfect for local sight seeing. The pulled pork sandwich at Papa Bears BBQ is a plus!
