The staff was very welcoming and offered lots of assistance. The park was clean. We enjoyed our stay but wish they didn't have campsites immediately adjacent to the roadway. And we wish the 'non-safe' water hose at the dump station had a male hose fitting to connect to our blackwater tank wash system instead of a spray nozzle.

Very enjoyable 2 day stay. Quiet and tranquil throughout the day and evening. Firewood and delivery best ever. Close to Mackinaw City. Kind greetings upon check-in. Will return again.

Loved this campground. We were able to walk to Mackinaw City, took the shuttle to the ferry, and relaxed at our site. Employees were very friendly. Extremely clean campground

We were greeted by front desk staff who was very pleasant and answered all of our questions. (So sorry, I don’t remember her name, but immediately liked her! ) We weren’t in camp much as we spent the day on the island and left next day before the rain. Overall, our stay was pleasant and comfortable.

We were at this campground for 8 nights it is always enjoyable. We stay here every year fir the oast 3 years and already have made our reservations for next year. Restrooms are clean along with the showers. They seem to be upgrading different things every year. Small store is well supplied with necessities

I enjoyed the pool. Everything was nice. Lucy, my toy poodle enjoyed the large dog park. My favorite part was the bike path to town. I felt safe and enjoyed biking back to town and the surrounding areas.

Staff was awesome, camp and facilities were clean and immaculate. Ordered wood and ice and it was brought to our camper immediately. Took their nature trail on our bicycles over to catch the ferry to Mackinac Island. The camp was very quiet with spacious sites. Highly recommend it!

They could have more kids activities like tye dye, ice cream social, so forth. The store seriously needs to stay open later than 7 pm. Getting kicked out of the pool by 8 pm wasn’t great either. People are just getting back from sightseeing by 6-7 then want to swim with their kids.

HI Teri, Thank you for your feedback. Our KOA is a Journey and we find our campers spend most of their time at the area beaches, parks and on the island so me made do not offer planned activities. We do have a brand new playground and do our best with our limited staffing.

Pros: bike path to town, very strong internet, friendly staff Con: After smelling a constant marijuana smell the first two days of our stay, I asked the office what their policy was and learned they allow legal drugs (since Michigan legalized marijuana). Just a heads up for others trying to get away to enjoy the outdoors with their children that the fresh air might smell of skunk!

Very helpful staff, clean campground. They have discounted tickets to Mackinaw island and the shuttle will pick you up at the campground.

Mackinaw KOA charged me a $30.89 ‘detail’ fee 30 minutes after I left the camp sight. When I tried reaching out to the KOA that day, no one answered the phone nor returned my message for an explanation. Bagged trash was set out in front of my site per their instructions. Not sure the reason, but not calling me back was rude and unprofessional. Guess the $75 per night isn’t enough!

Was disappointed they did not take American Express CC. I think this is a mistake. Even if you collected a service fee it would be better than not accepting a very well known global credit card. The campground was fine. Shower temp and pressure could have been better. Shuttle to Sheplers was a real plus. Would have been nice to have cable Tv.

We stayed 2 nights. I loved that they were so helpful with ferry tickets and even brought our firewood to the campsite.

Emailed to cancel due to health reasons. Got an email back back to say the cancellation went through but they never said anything about being charged the full amount until I directly asked. Apparently I missed the cut off by 12 hours. Kept the reservation even though I was not feeling well. Worst customer service ever.

Incredible experience. Super clean park, great sites, nice amenities. Everyone was awesome and the kids had a wonderful time for their first trip to Northern Michigan. We live in VA now but we will definitely be making the trek back north to stay again. 100% recommend.

We had a family vacation we had a RV site and a cabin the cabin was nice and cute . The park was clean and all staff was friendly. If I can make a suggestion? In the cabin the fab is to close to the ceiling it doesn't circulate enough air . Maybe a drop rod to get it away from the ceiling some

Since I have been married and had children, I wanted to take my family camping, and we had a great time. I just hope they will remember going, I am sure they will ^^

I went here during the summer and it was great, the workers are very friendly and always trying to help. The bike path is very fun to ride on. The only problem I have is they don't want you to put anything up and I put up my portable hammock, and they said to take it down .

I have been to Mackinac City and Island a couple of times, and each time it was excellent experience! The moment you board the ferry to the island the journey to the past starts. It's just so peaceful and relaxing at the island without the noise and pollution of the motor vehicles. The fudge and speciality food on the island is a must have while there.
