Showers ,Shower heads and water pressure definetly need an update

The sites are pretty small and not at all flat. If I were to come again I would request the sites on the cement pads. Bathrooms are also tiny and hot because of their size. Aside from this, the campground was well maintained and it was convenient to get a shuttle over to Mackinac Island.

The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The facility is far above the norm for a Holiday level facility, everything around the grounds is in excellent if not brand new condition, the sites are large, and the location could not be much more convenient to the city and ferry access. We will return to the area because of our experience here, if not for the city itself.

I stay in a cabin and love it. This KOA is just the right size and so close to many amazing Michigan, top of the MIT, places to explore. This KOA is clean and recently started a recycle program for campers! The staff is real friendly to all campers.

Our first site was great, but we had to move during our stay. The second site was not as level and we had trouble getting a starlink signal so my wife could work.

Friendly staff, great wifi, great amenities. Only downside is site size. We have a 37' TT w/ 3 slides. We were in a pull thru site. Trailer stuck out in the road a bit in the rear. Very little room on either side of the trailer to park my truck so I had to park diagonally in front just so my truck wasn't in the road in front. Fire ring was way too close to trailer so we didn't use it.

We were in and out very quickly but enjoyed our brief stay. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Campground is fine - nothing special. I feel like KOA is the Walmart of campgrounds - you know what you are getting and it won’t be terrible but won’t be amazing either. Only reason to stay here in my opinion is to access Mackinac Island. Don’t bother with Mackinaw City (junky town). Bathrooms were fine. Sites are super close together. Not much to do on site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are only 1.5 miles from the Mackinac Bridge in Mackinaw City MI and there are free shuttles to the island,beautiful nature trails,paved bike path to town. As we are only 1 mile from the beaches we do have a lot of sand LOL

Our stay was very nice and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The Patio sites are also very nice and that will be a must next time we are up that way. Used their service to get the tickets to go to Mackinaw Island and the shuttle was there in no time at all which saved having to use our own vehicle and park and wait in line. Good job all around.

It was awesome! Clean, quiet campground. We used our scooters every day to go into the city, down to a beautiful beach that was soft sand! We took ferry to the island one day. Michigan is beautiful! Thank you!

The park was wonderful. Great amenities and people. Space was great with picnic table and fire pit. Wood and ice and small store on site. Located very close to Mackinaw City and ferry to Mackinac Island.

One of the better KOA stays ever. The facility is tight as all Journeys are, but that’s the only similarity. The staff is great, the convenience of ice and firewood delivery top notch, and the whole place is super clean. Nice pool and showers, great dog yard, and a Northwoods feel. It’s great !

Since I have been married and had children, I wanted to take my family camping, and we had a great time. I just hope they will remember going, I am sure they will ^^

I went here during the summer and it was great, the workers are very friendly and always trying to help. The bike path is very fun to ride on. The only problem I have is they don't want you to put anything up and I put up my portable hammock, and they said to take it down .

I have been to Mackinac City and Island a couple of times, and each time it was excellent experience! The moment you board the ferry to the island the journey to the past starts. It's just so peaceful and relaxing at the island without the noise and pollution of the motor vehicles. The fudge and speciality food on the island is a must have while there.
