Happy with our site. Employees are pleasant. Enjoyed our stay.

Only stayed overnight, but worked out well for that. Site was close to level, hookusp were close by, although we only used electric. The showers we clean, if not a little small. There seemed to be a lot of seasonal or permanent folks, but sites were well kept. It's far enough off the main highway that there was littel traffic noise. On the other hand it is a long ways from the main highways.

Very clean area and restrooms as well. Easy in and out from site to main highway.

Female staff member checking us in was not welcoming or friendly in general, which is a priority expectation after a long day on the road, and a main reason why we choose KOA. The dog park was dirt, not grass or gravel, and followiong the heavy rains they received the day before our arrival, was unuseable, as was much of the road for walking our dog. Bathrooms were clean, spaces were adequate.

I had no issues with the Lubbock Journey KOA. It was clean, well-kept, and the office staff with whom I dealt with was excellent; she was very helpful and informative. I'll stay there again when I return to Lubbock.

It was good and it was quiet. Looks a bit messy with all the seasonal spots

Two nights. It seems like all KOAs are turning into gravel parking lots. They serve a purpose for an overnight hookup, but they could look more appealing.

Everyone very friendly & helpful

Friendly folks operating the office. Fresh, hot coffee in the morning! We arrived shortly after a rain, so our site was surrounded by large pools of water and mud. Made it a bit difficult to get to and from the bathroom. We were located on the grounds with a busy road to our backside. Felt uncomfortable knowing there was no barrier between us and a careening car or truck but a few bushes.

We felt so welcomed and at home here! The staff and other guests were so friendly. This campground is older, but very clean, it has a homey feel, cats and chickens roaming around. I loved the rooster! There is free coffee in the office, often goodies as well. The heated pool and hot tub were amazing! The campground was pretty quiet, even with train and road noise. Would love to come back !

Price is reasonable, but rest rooms are old and not very clean.

Though the campground is kept clean and the pool was operational in April (rare), it had the feel of not a lot of effort to add or improve older infrastructure. Desk person was a bit brusk. Noise is not too bad given the short distance to the freeway.

There had been a LOT of rain, an unusual amount. The sites were flooded. But the staff was doing all they could to make it better, even bringing in loads of gravel to raise up the surface. We were very appreciative. Also we loved the indoor heated pool. We did not love the traffic noise.

Facilities as expected for overnight stay.

The receptionist at the front was very unfriendly. She is the only staff I ever saw. They had had rain and the roads and lots of the sites had sitting water and mud. They definitely need a lot of gravel. We usually enjoy KOAs but will definitely never stay there again. They gave us a spot right on the freeway, with traffic noise all night.

The Lubbock KOA is next to an active railroad line and expressway; expect noise. The bathrooms were below average condtion with men's toilets "sometimes" in working order. Showers were fine. We stayed overnight after a severe rainstorm and many sites had standing water. Trash collection bin was not located at a convenient location next to the entrance.

To be fair, we checked in under tremendous rain and lightning storms. We couldn’t even access the office to check in without having to traverse huge puddles. They did place a few stepping stones in the puddles but we did get in the muddy mess. We felt the park looked unkempt and poorly designed. We could hear the nearby trains a lot during the night and had a lousy night sleep. The WiFi was bad.

Noisy, needs improvement. Muddy when it rains. Employees keep chickens and roosters on property. Low rent....

It was raining, cold and flooded. But the staff were very nice and accommodating.

The people were extremely accommodating to get us into a spot where we wouldn’t need to disconnect as we couldn’t extend our trailer’s jack legs. A big kudo to Heather! Thank you so much

The staff was super friendly and helpful. They were able to accommodate our daughter and her family with an unexpected site that had just became which we hadn’t planned for so they didn’t have to double up on our site.

Quick trip as I was passing through- great place!

We got late but it was easy to set up camp and the camp was clean and roomy with a bathroom nearby

Things they can change: replace old broken picnic tables, work on toilets in women’s room(hardly flushes). Things out of their hands: highway noise by the smaller sites. Things they did right: clean bathrooms, friendly staff.

KOAs proximity to the freeway is nice for convenience but AWFUL for traffic noise and train noise. I had forgotten when I reserved my spot. I’m so glad it was only ONE night. Won’t make that mistake again unless I’m desperate!

Convenient for our long distant travel but the facilities could use some updates, particularly the restrooms.

My surge protector says the pedestal was miswired, shower was gross. Gave you an extra star for the chickens, which were amusing

We rented the tent spot so we can sleep in our SUV and the spot was perfect. Hot tub and pool area comfortable and inviting. Owner and her help were so fun to talk to over coffee. Whole park safe, quiet, beautiful and easy in and out. Great job!

Great little no frills campground! Good value. We couldn't figure out online booking, so we just gave them a call. The employee was pleasant and helpful. We would definitely stay again. We stayed in one of the two cabins. They are small and staff informed us of this in advance. We were provided a key at the office/small store which operated a deadbolt. Two windows inside, one of which was able to be opened. The floors were dirty unfortunately, so we did some cleaning ourselves. The bed was awful. We didn't sleep well because the "mattress", which would probably pass for a mattress pad, was about 4" thick and plastic with nothing under it. If we stay again, we'll just bring something else rather than bedding only. There was a TV in the cabin which was nice and the a/c, oil heater kept us comfortable. The campground is on the small side but well kept. Even with a full camp, they did a good job of keeping it clean. All gravel. I think there were two dumpsters. Staying in a cabin really helped to keep the traffic noise down. If youre bringing pets, please be aware the "dog park" is very small.. probably 150 square feet. We took advantage of local parks. There were 3 showers and four bathroom stalls in the ladies room. Water was hot. We checked out the pool and it was nice. Everything worked and the space was clean and inviting. Cute decor. Liked that the pool wasn't rectangular and got wider at the deep end. It's small but still nice with a 6 ft depth. There was also a nice medium sized playground with a fair amount of equipment for guests enjoyment.
