Campground Cancellation Guideline

Campground Specific Cancellation Policy

EFFECTIVE 10/01/2024  We will follow the KOA National Cancellation guideline.Need to Cancel? If you need to cancel your reservation, please call 800-562-1239 before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $20 cancellation fee. 
  • Deluxe Cabins & Unique Accommodations: These units may have special deposit and cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA campground location when making your reservations. 
  • HOLIDAY/SPECIAL EVENT DEPOSIT: Holiday/Special event stays require a minimum 3 night stay for all classification of sites. A deposit equal to at least the minimum nights stay is required to guarantee your reservation. Holiday /special event reservations made after the holiday/special event deadlines will require a nonrefundable deposit equal to the minimum nights stay required.
  • HOLIDAY/SPECIAL EVENT CANCELLATION DEADLINES: Please call before these deadlines for a Holiday/Special event stay to receive a deposit refund less a $20 cancellation fee.*

RV/Tent sites. You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation for by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

Cabins: You must give 21 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation for by 4 p.m., twenty one days before your scheduled arrival. Cancellations made after deadlines will result in forfeiture of all deposits.

*All cancellations will incur a $20 cancellation fee, per KOA policy. VIP members are not excluded from these deadlines. The $20 cancellation fee applies to all VKR members for Deluxe Cabin stays, specialty accommodations, holidays or special events. 

Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable.

National Cancellation Guideline

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the campground before the deadlines below to receive a refund of your deposit, less a $20 administrative cancellation fee. Text and email notifications of cancellations will not be accepted.

Cancellation Deadlines:

  • RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

For guests booking accommodations in California, a full refund will be given for reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking, provided the arrival date is at least 72 hours after the time of booking.

Cancellation Details:

  • Reservations made after these deadlines require nonrefundable deposits.
  • Cancellations made after the deadlines will result in forfeiture of the full deposit.
  • No refunds are given due to the discomforts of nature, including no-shows and early checkouts.
  • No refunds are given on or after the arrival date.
  • Refunds will be processed using the original credit/debit card, with no exceptions.
  • The cancellation policy may be amended during a Regional/National travel disruption.
  • Holidays and special events may have unique deposit and/or cancellation requirements. Please check with your selected KOA for details.
